Southwood and I were talking, and for some reason they're up on the "Support Local Music" rack at Strawberries in Keene. It wasn't 1 CD, they dropped a whole stack in there.

Southwood says they're form somewhere in England, which is a little far from New Hampshire.

Anyone care to clear this up?

BTW, the CD fu</>cking rocks.

Yeah they're actually from a place called Teignmouth in England, which is about 5 minutes down the road from me, so basically they're local lads

They're pretty big over here these days, I know they've released 4 CD's (maybe more) Showbiz, Origin Of Symmetry, Hullabaloo and Absolution, they're a great band, quite a lot of range in the music, Matt Bellamy has a unique voice and is a really good guitarist, and they are seriously the best band I've ever seen live.

Yeah, now I'm definitely :wtf:ing at the "local music" thing...

The CD Absolution is awesome though. I'll prolly pick up more. :D

Yes, yes it is, my personal favourite is Hysteria.
If you do pick up more, make sure to pick up Origin of Symmetry, TOP album. Plug In Baby/Hyper Music/Bliss are the best from that.
Gotta agree with Cactus Sid on the live aspect, their live show do kick ass.

They've been in USA recently, but Matt (lead singer) busted his face open during a enthusiastic redition of Citizen Erased and required 14 stitches, and the cancellation of a few shows.

So yeah, Muse rule.

Are you kidding? x) Muse ****ing rule.

Matt Bellamy is extremeley unique and was voted 27th in the Top 100 guitarists in the world. He is a legend.

Muse are a great band and far different from any style of music around at the moment. All of their CD's are really good, and yes they ROCK live. I went to see them in December and nearly kakked myself with joy.

=Insane obsessive rant about Muse over=

I like them. Although they were kind of written off as Radiohead wannabes with their first album, which I think was a bit unfair. Good band, lots of good songs, and one of the few British rock bands I actually like. Possibly since they're not dreary, boring crap...

I only like the songs where the lead singer doesn't start singing with a high pitched voice. Its irritating.

That said, the first 2 singles off the new album were awesome.

as much as i love muse, (and beleive me, i'm a man who loves his muse) him being voted 27th out of the top 100 guitarist is bullshit.

Get used to it.

Those "Best guitarist" and best "Whatever" results are usually full of shit and based, not on talent, but popularity.

i'm generally more upset when jack white gets up there on guitarist polls.

I'm upset when anyone who can barely play their instrument makes it onto these lists. Lars Ulrich, Meg White, Van Halen...:shifty:

I quite like Muse but I'm not a fan of the new album. Matts silver sprayed telecaster with all the effects built in is quality, he is a good guitarist as well, insane solos arent the be all and end all of a good guitarist, writing a catchy riff is much more tallented.

I just started getting into them actually.
