View Full Version : Where does he go from here? [RAW Spoiler]

After four long months, finally... finally... finally, Evan Bourne has returned to RAW!
With momentum on his side from squashing Sheamus (one choke toss and no other offense is a squash) and with a month to Wrestlemania, more than likely he'll end up in the Money in the Bank ladder match if it's been held again, but then what?
Personally, with CM Punk bringing up the punt kick from two years ago, I'll like to hope that the continuity in WWE continues. It was the Straight Edge Saviour that took out Evan Bourne back in October, I'll like to hope that Evan hasn't forgotten that and extracts a small amount of justice, possibly interfering in one of Punk's matches, costing him a win or better yet, interfering in one of Orton's matches for his benefit, costing Punk one of his Nexus members for Wrestlemania.
Am I hoping for a fued between CM Punk and Evan Bourne? No, at least not yet. The matches would be great, but I don't think Bourne should be anywhere near a mic at the moment. He needs more time to get comfortable if you watch past promos. Also and not a knock against Bourne, but it could and probably would be seen as a step down for Punk going from fueding against Orton to Bourne.
So what are the thoughts of TPWW? Will Air Bourne build up a series of wins and be inserted into the United States title scene, is there a member of RAW that he could fued with or will he simply be one of the guys they bring out to warm the crowd up?

The WWE clearly wants Bourne to succeed. Money in the Bank seems like an obvious option for him. After that, I wouldn't mind seeing what you suggested. Randy Orton, Evan Bourne and two others against the Nexus. War Games at Extreme Rules? Wishful thinking? Both Orton & Bourne are from St. Louis. Not a big thing, but it's a cool connection.
I thik his return was really weird. Kinda odd for a face to return and take advantage of a beaten up heel. Even if that heel is a "bully".

The battle's done, and he kinda won so he'll sound his victory cheer.

I really feel that War Games is obsolete compared to Elimination Chamber, I doubt WWE will ever do a War Games match.

I see it as full circle, in my own way. Back when Nexus was doing their mob beatups backstage, Sheamus left an injured and iced-up Bourne to them to be further teared up. And now while Sheamus was vulnerable, Bourne came back to take advantage and pick up an easy win. Fair play in my book.

I feel like Bourne is way more of a dork than Daniel Bryan. He should have that nerd gimmick, what with that stupid finger thing, and his goofy looking face.
I thought they were actually making it seem like Evan and Gail was a couple since they are both Canadian and were seen together a lot backstage on Raw.
He goes straight to Wrestlemania!

Yeah. Sadly this wasn't picked up by the commentators.

Don't get your hopes up guys he will probly job to Sheamus next week and be back to square one but he will likely be in MITB and have a good showing at least.

Why shouldn't Evan Bourne be anywhere near a mic at the moment? When will the moment be?
If he's ever going to improve, he needs to be near a mic. Now is more the moment than any.
That's really the problem with faces in the WWE. They're never near a mic. I don't know how WWE ever thinks they're going to improve on the microphone and learn how to cut meaningful promos to a live crowd unless they get experience.
This applies strongly to guys like Morrison, and on a lesser level, Bourne and Kofi, who all have a connection with the crowd in the ring, but not on the microphone.
They need to open their mouths if they're ever going to make that connection.

Jeff Hardy has gone from horrible to tolerable in about, oh, 10 years.*
This is why face stables are a good idea. One mouthpiece can compensate for mic shortcomings. The ones who kinda suck can say less, and the heavy lifter can get the point across. Over time, the others can say more.

He definitely is. They just don't give him enough promo time for some strange reason.

I disagree a little bit, just because I think Morrison is getting over quite well telling stories with his emotions and facials. It's working damn well, but just feels like all that work gets deflated when he has a live mic.
Things like well he yelled "Are you watching Punk?" are working for him. He needs to find a way to get that emotion on the mic, but he needs to learn that away from taped shows lest he kill anything he's building towards.

What I want to happen: Bourne vs Daniel Bryan for the US title at Wrestlemania. 2 faces going at it. Make it respectful and about the prestige of the title (or bringing it back to the title) and not about a girl or some cheap feud.
What I think will happen: There won't be a MITB at Mania. I don't see Bourne making the show unless there is some battle royal (that I also don't suspect will happen)
Possible dark match or lumberjack hell.
