From PWInsider:
*Smackdown opens with a promo from WWE World champion Edge. Drew McIntyre hits the scene and attacks him, setting off a match. Edge wins via a leg submission.
*Cody Rhodes, wearing a suit, comes out wearing Rey Mysterio mask and rips on Rey.
*Backstage, The Corre remind Kane they helped him bury The Undertaker alive and ask him to destroy Big Show later.
*WWE Tag Team champs The Corre defeated Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov.
*The Undertaker returns to Smackdown, cutting a promo similar in tone to Triple H's on Monday. Taker, who came out to the Johnny Cash song, said that he and HHH were the last of a dying breed.
*LayCool defeated Beth Phoenix and Rosa Mendes when Layla pinned Rosa.
*Kane vs. Big Show ended when The Corre ran in and handed Kane a chair to use on Show but Kane killed Justin Gabriel with it instead.
*Jack Swagger and Michael Cole come out. Cole cuts a promo saying that he will reveal his guest referee for Wrestlemania on Monday. He puts over Swagger big as a trainer. Swagger then defeats JTG.
*Backstage, Edge attacks a painter working on a portrait of Alberto Del Rio and defaces it.
*The contract signing for the World title match at Wrestlemania. Alberto Del Rio comes out first and sings the Mexican National Anthem. Edge interrupts. Edge and Del Rio get into it. Ricardo helps and Christian makes the save. After Edge and Christian run off the heels, they bring back the "Five Second Pose" for the benefit of those with flash photography - but be warned that may have been something they just did for the live house after the episode went off the air.
Seems that they're actually going somewhere with the Nexus/Corre burying Taker thing, but I guess it'll be Barrett vs Kane at Mania.

Hmm not very happy with the way Barrett's being booked, there seems to be no rhyme or reason.
Did they just turn Kane face? Tag match at Mania maybe SHow/Kane vs either Barrett/Jackson or Gabiel/OMRB for the titles maybe. Or is it going to be Barrett vs Kane or Barrettt vs Show. None of this really makes sense anymore.
Oh and LOL at Taker maybe using a Johnny Cash song as his theme now.

They actually gave the hint that they were building to something bigger with The Corre, that's a good thing. Barret V Taker at Backlash or something.
If you don't want Taker coming out to Johnny Cash, maybe we can get Limp Bizkit or Kid Rock back. Sure everybody will be happy then.

But if The Corre can take out the 3 biggest guys on Smackdown over the period of about 3 months, that would be a huge deal. It doesn't need to happen all at once, just plant seeds here and there.
I am glad that it's The Corre that screwed Taker, meaning it was Barret's plan and the "bigger picture" wasn't some random higher power type dealio.

I like the idea of Barrett and The Corre vs Big Show, Kane, and a mystery tag partner (which ends up being Diesel)
I forget where I read it, but it seems to be the most interesting option given the current state of the storyline.

It's interesting that they've turned Kane face again. I enjoyed his dominant heel run, but that has set and now Kane can work best as a monster destroying people...for a time.
While Kane & Big Show vs. The Corre or even Kane, Big Show, Diesel and someone else vs. The Corre could be great, part of me sort of hopes that R-Truth & Johnny Curtis get their shot against The Corre, win somehow, and then we get Kane, Big Show, R-Truth & Curtis vs. The Corre at WrestleMania. Or, just have Curtis & Truth vs. Gabriel & Slater, and do Show & Kane vs. Barrett & Jackson. Also, The Corre attacking The Undertaker and Triple H after their match would be EPIC! I actually suggest the WWE do this.
I think the Edge & Christian "5 Second Pose" will make the show. Why the fuck would the WWE deprive its audience of this after Christian makes the save? Unless they just test it here, and then do it another time on television. I hope the crowd popped huge for it -- it'd be a good thing for Christian. I'd love to see Gabriel & Slater vs. Edge & Christian -- with the extra dynamic being that Christian was Slater's NXT Pro.
Money in the Bank, assuming they still do it, is shaping up to be interesting. John Morrison, Kofi Kingston, Mark Henry and Evan Bourne seem like safe bets for the bout -- but a lot of the other big name guys I thought would be in there (Swagger, Kane, etc.) have stuff going on elsewhere.
I can't believe Justin Gabriel is dead.

The exact way the assembled masses said HHH did on Raw.
I was making fun of the people in the Raw thread that said the same thing about HHH for saying pretty much the same thing.

Yeah I was at the tapings. The 5 second pose was after the post Smackdown dark match, but it was a huge mark out moment regardless.
Taker came out to the Cash song, and really this seemed like a more human undertaker ala his biker days in his promo. So that was refreshing.

Just watched the show.
Ermax, I was on the phone during the Edge/Drew segment but I think the stipulation was he had to win cleanly or be fired. Or I could be wrong.
My take:
Undertaker's promo was OK, but nothing special. Johnny Cash song to his normal entrance was weird.
Kane DID hit Big Show with the chair before Gabriel, but it could still be leading towards a face turn.
I loved the USA chant at the start of the contract signing. Between a Canadian and Mexican.
Edge's nose was busted by Del Rio in the contract signing pretty good.
Christian got a nice reception when he ran-in.
Yeah I know this is a spoiler thread, but still. Overall not a bad show. The WrestleMania matches got plugged well and Michelle McCool looked amazing as usual.

Nah it wasn't a stip it was just either Drew wrestles Edge or he's fired. Drew had come out to attack Edge and that was Teddy's way of stopping it.

They seem to be actually making a big deal out of Christian now, at least compared to the position he was in before the injury. I'm interested to see where they go with this and what his involvement will be at Wrestlemania.
Yeah, having Christian get one up on the #1 Contender (who is getting one up on the World Champ) can't be a bad thing. I'm hoping for big things from Christian.
One thing that annoyed me about SmackDown was all the damn replays. We got HHH's promo in full, HBK's take on the HHH-Undertaker match in full. Rock's Raw promo in full. Howabout using the time to push SmackDown talent?
As for other parts of the show...
I like Taker using the Cash song, it fits him. I also like his more "human" promo as they are more versatile than your standard "Deadman" schtick.
Cody Rhodes was great again. However, I feel his last line (about Rey/WM/Rey's mask) was a tad confusing. Might have to check that back.
Swagger getting the squash win pleased me immensely. Hopefully he gets something out of being in Cole's corner for WM.

Taker and Cash is brilliant, love it and that match feels huge to me. Edge/Alberto del Rio should be the main event above Cena/Miz unless they put HHH/Taker last. Edge is really damn good in the ring and so is del Rio, this match is going to be classic.

Thought this was a better show than last weeks but once again it irked me that they felt it once again necessary to replay the promos from RAW anywho it's doesn't seem to be clear which member(s) of Corre that Big Show will face (which I believe wil be Big Zeke) but I hope he gets the W regardless.

I agree with that, but at the same time it's lame when the veteran loses everytime. It gets to the point where it's too obvious and the rub doesn't mean as much.
I think that happened with Michaels a bit during his second run.
Corre should go over here though.

The more I think about it, the more I want Edge/Del Rio on last. It probably won't, but the WWE surprised me in the past with putting Edge/Undertaker on after Ric Flair/Shawn Michaels and Cena/Orton/Triple H. I just feel that the match will be great, and the purist in me would like to see the Royal Rumble Winner actually get to close the show, instead of having a mid-card World Title match.
Christian should play a role in Del Rio vs. Edge. Personally, I don't care what it is. I want to see Edge & Christian back on the same side, so him helping Edge retain would be pretty damn cool. But Christian is also amazing as a heel -- imagine if he turned on Edge and helped Del Rio win? The heat for Christian would be pretty great, and Edge vs. Christian at this stage of their careers would tell a much greater story than it did ten years ago.
I like the idea I read somewhere of The Corre coming out after Triple H and The Undertaker's match and laying them both out. That would be fucking sick, and would be massive heat for The Corre -- all of whom have bright futures, in my opinion (yes, even Heath Slater). Taker and Triple H don't work full-time schedules anymore, so you can use it to take them off TV again. Or you can even have Triple H & Taker team up to become a sort of dream team.
Possible Extreme Rules Matches:
* Edge (c) vs. Wade Barrett for the World Heavyweight Championship
* John Cena (c) vs. The Miz vs. Randy Orton vs. CM Punk for the WWE Championship
* Justin Gabriel & Heath Slater (c) vs. Triple H & The Undertaker for the WWE Tag Team Championship
* Alberto Del Rio vs. Christian
I'd be so interested in that event.

That was my idea :D, Corre and especially Barrett just need to do something big a Mania the guy is future gold
And it would be nice if HHH actually put over a up and comer for a change.
