Today marked the pro wrestling debut of Daichi Hashimoto. He is the son of the late, great Shinya Hashimoto.

2nd consecutive disappointing thread in the wrestling forum. I clearly expected a good sock account, especially with OCW having set the standard for this week.

Is he hiding a fanny pack underneath his jacket?

No. His jacket was baggy.

Your obsession with socks leads me to believe that you may in fact be a sock.

Well TPWW is at that stage where sock accounts make/break it as far as entertainment goes. A shame OCW was shut down so early.

Too bad. Japs would definitely be the ones to bring back the Fanny Pack.

Fun fact: Chono's ring gear is designed by his smoking hot German wife.

VSG
03-06-2011, 06:27 PM
That other guy, Chono, was also a member of the nWo and a former NWA heavyweight champ. Screw the kid, this thread should be about that Chono guy.

Look, Chono is like an uncle to this kid. Give Daichi some time, and he'll be as good as his father was.

DLVH84

No. If you looked at the photos I posted carefully, Shinya left behind a wife and two daughters alongside Daichi.

And what was so great about the late Shinya guy?

He was the founder of Pro Wrestling ZERO1, the promotion his son now wrestles for.

He was the longest-reigning IWGP Heavyweight Champion in history (his longest reign lasted from April 29, 1996 to August 31, 1997).

He was a former NWA World Champion.

He, Keiji Mutoh (The Great Muta), and Masahiro Chono formed The Three Musketeers in July 1988, as they were also in the Class of 1984 of the NJPW Dojo. The three would become the driving force of New Japan Pro Wrestling in the 1990s, surpassing Antonio Inoki, Tatsumi Fujinami, and Riki Choshu, who dominated the 1980s.

Exactly. Because of his hard kicks and violent matches, he's often compared to Toshiaki Kawada. And he was really one of the few pro wrestlers that could do very well in an MMA environment.

It's not all dangerous head droping nonsense and barbed wire nonsense you know, CSL.

New Japan has consistently maintained their own style, focused more on psychology and mat wrestling.

It's really only 90's all japan and noah which focuses on trying to kill one another by crushing each other's spines.

Exactly. NJPW and ZERO1 are Strong Style, while AJPW and NOAH are Kings Road, althought NOAH's version is modified as Ark Style.

Yeah I know it's not all, but the most publicized stuff is head drops and kicking the fuck out of each other, me saying fuck the Japs is just broad stroking. It's just not pro wrestling. Although that's not even really my problem, it's a different culture, wrestling is almost treated legit over there so at least they have a something resembling a reason for it, if they literally want to kill each other, that's fine. It's just the influence it has on the idiots that think that's how it really should be across the rest of the world and go out and do the same kind of shit in front of 30 people while wearing baggy pleathers and kick pads.

I can certainly understand why CSL, a wrestler himself, would look down on AJ and NOAH. Instead of making things look like they hurt, they just fucking hurt eachother.

But I am not a wrestler. And it's not me getting hurt, so hey it's still entertaining to me.
