Now was thats not a hot video, I dont know what is. I dont really keep up with Japan wrestling, but who (if anyone) is the Japanese version of Batista? I know there are Americans over there but are there any Japanese ones? From what I can tell, AAA doesnt really have a big bodybuilder type wrestler anymore. The "power wrestlers" they have are guys like Halloween, LA Park (WCW La Parka) and Electroshock who are getting older in age so they've put on weight at cant fly as well anymore.

I actually think Shuji Kondo would fit the bill of being "like" Batista. If Batista had any ability to go along with his power.
Also, that green lard warrior reminds me of an inflated Hurricane.

Giant Bernard definitely as far as NJPW goes.
I'd agree with Shuji Kondo, but only really in feds with smaller people. He's not big per se, but big in comparison to the cruisers he works with.
Takeshi Morishima maybe, but he's more fat. Still, he's one of the bigger power house style guys over there.

Kensuke Sasaki and Kenta Kobashi are both really strong, but neither have a body builder type body. Really there are no Japanese that compare to Batista's build.
Sasaki and Takayama Yoshihiro both wrestle the big, strong-man style if that's what you are asking.

Kobashi and Sasaki from 6 years ago, neither look quite like this now.

Actually, all things considered, Kensuke probably is the closest.
But Japan has never really had the body builder types. They're built more like athletes, which a lot of time means being strong, but without insane definition.
Also, I'll throw Cyber Kong into the mix as well... Even though he's only big compared to DG people.

Look how ripped those drawn on muscles look.

Random tid-bit: The video at the start of the thread is pretty goofy, but the youtube guy that made it has also made a bunch of really awesome MMA and Puroresu vids for anyone interested.

I guess thats what I was kinda asking about a was did Japanese wrestling companies have bodybuilder turned wrestlers kinda like America has guys like Batista and Rob Terry. (not considering massive American wrestlers who have gone to Japan)
As for you Sixx , you just wish you had the painted on muscles Kong has... I know I do :(
Side note, does Cyber Kong still wrestle? I read somewhere that he messed his neck up really bad

Well, he's gotten older and put on some weight so he doesnt really fly as much as he use to in the 90s. He uses more slams and throws now instead.

Japanese Culture doesnt see strength and Power in the Bodybuilder Physique. This is a culture who greatly honor Sumo. Also, their wrestling training is intense, and they dont go looking for people, like here, where promoters look for a hoss that they can train.
yah, saw a pic of a full on jacked up bodybuilder Japanese guy the other day and the spastic part of my brain was like "huh didn't even know Jap guys could get to that size" :o
