View Full Version : Is it just me, or does anyone out there wanna see CHRIS MASTERS get a megapush?

I remember he first burst onto the scene in 2004 fairly strong, but he slowly faded away once the novelty wore off. BUT I'M GLAD that he did survive the future endeavour onslaught in the upcoming years, and low and behold the dude is still around.
I'd say his role as jobber to the stars should be rewarded with a MASTERPUSH in the near future.

I'd rather see him pushed over some of the darkies

He actually was fired at one point, and was later brought back, FYI.
And I mean, I wouldn't mind him getting a slight bump up to the midcard, maybe competing for the US or IC title I suppose...but really, he's a decent worker with little skill on the mic. There's plenty of guys who I'd rather see get a push than him.

What the fuck is with IWC fans wanting to see everyone who is shit, get a push? I mean get fucking real. You can only push so many wrestlers, and others are mid-carders for life.
I can still remember when you cunts creamed in your pants when Daniel "Boring As Fuck" Bryan came to the WWE. He is the perfect example of who you guys want pushed. That no talented piece of shit is stuck in the undercard getting buried every week. I hope it stays that way as well.

Why not? His matches on Superstars are usually pretty good, for what that's worth.
Only if he gets his old entrance back.

No he blows ass. I mean okay he is buff and strong and whatever but he has NO MIC SKILLS and he is HORRIBLE in the ring. There is just nothing of value in him except that he ate more steroids than anyone else in the lockeroom.

Mic skills are limited, in-ring work is average (however he is improving)...... I wouldn't mind him sticking around and maybe having a run with the IC/US Title, but I do not see a "Master-push" in his future.....

Never said he sucks, I just wouldn't care to see him get a major push. He doesn't stand out to me at all, he's just kind of there. Don't get all the love for him, really.

I really wanna see it. I didn't really like him when he debuted, he was just the typical musclehead who wasn't that good in the ring, but for some reason (and quite shockingly) I've really liked him since he turned face. Never thought Masters would work as a face, but he does.
I'm not expecting him to be world champ by the end of the year, but a push would be nice. Also the fact that he is still fucking big and ripped to fucking pieces, he should be destroying people everywhere.

Masters is the man, bro.
Honestly, wouldn't care. From his original 'Masterpiece' entrance, to the pec dance, and the Masterlock challenge, it was all pretty sad.

i totally disagree.. he is good in the ring .. if i remember when he first arrived and pushed heavily he genuinely looked as if he could be a top guy... he even put in a good solid performance in one of the elimination chamber matches in 05 i think but could be wrong about the year. and you cant fault him for shit mic ... he doesnt get a chance to speak with his jobber entrances. Im all for the masterpice to become something pretty big and build himself into a superstar.....but will he get that chance....???
His finish is a full nelson headlock. Come on.
If he busted out the Torture Rack and started using the Roaring Elbow, I might buy into his deal. But he's super bland like ramen noodles with no flavor packet.

You can sum up the Wellness Policy's hypocrisy in 2 words: Chris Masters.
He was on strike 2, he cleaned up. He did lose muscle to do so. And his reward for doing what he was told? Jobbing and an on-camera humiliation for his cleaning up.

that certainly wouldn't be labeled as a mega push

I was never a fan. Roided up, all he had were his muscles which made him "look" pushworthy and his 16 minute entrance. Off the juice, all he has is that default Create-A-Wrestler appearance. Either way, there's nothing interesting about him.
However, my opinion could change in the way it did about Mike Knox if he got that "one thing" that would make him interesting. I hated Knox's debut on WWECW. Hated the stupid "overprotective boyfriend" angle, hated how he was just a generic heel, just didn't care for him at all. Then, he grows epic facial shrubbery and becomes a bit more interesting (the whole "pain professor" thing).
Not saying Masters needs to grow a beard, I'm just saying he needs something else besides looking like "TTP mk2"*. He needs something positive (or negative, if a heel turn's a comin') that makes him not so... so... blank slate. Only then would I want to see any kind of "masterpush". Otherwise, let him job and keep him the fuck off my TV.
*That was a Lex Lugar reference, for those who may be too young to know. He "repackaged" himself, pun intended, near the end of WCW, only refering to himself by his nickname "The Total Package". His logo was similar to that flexing "M" Masters has on his attire. He had a long ass intro similar to the one Masters had upon his debut, only Lugar flexed in the ring, not on the ramp.

I have never heard him speak for more than three seconds. Until then, I do not know. He has the physique, but, can he handle the pressure.
I am hammered, by the way.

Considering the size of him I'm shocked Vinnie didn't push him already. To answer the question yeah why not push him

Living up to your name then, JimmyMess. Nice work.
Masters doesn't flat-out suck. The guy has improved MILES in the ring. His matches contain good-great psychology, and he does the little things with his face and such during a match that really add. He's not the best in-ring worker, but you don't see bad matches from him these days.
He was one of those guys brought up too early. The WWE wanted to push him based on his physique, but then shit went awry and Masters lost his spot, came back, did pretty much nothing and then found a role in which he worked well -- a respectful, if self-confident babyface.
Masters is one of the few guys I think would benefit from a move to RAW. He was never more over then when he was paired with Eve Torres. Perhaps they could rekindle that relationship, have Masters actually get some mic time, and start him off in the mid-card. If that works, you can rise him up the ranks.

I feel he could do well doing something with CM Punk but, I think that about everyone who got fired because of the wellness policy.

Or, and I'm just sayin', but he could drop the gimmick and turn heel for no reason.

I like Masters as a face. He's not uber-charismatic but, he reminds me of a better-built version of Lawler, just very earnest and real as a face.
CM Punk feuding with him over his past would be good though, and I guess after a few months they could Russo it up and have CM Punk brain-wash him and turn him into an attack-dog. Still...
P.S. Yes, I know you're joking, I just felt the need to respond anyway.

So I play TEW 2005 and a couple of weeks ago after watching a lot of WCW on the internet I made a scenario where Vince revive's WCW to create realistic in house competition, like UFC and Strikeforce. Heyman is the "owner" and I'm the head booker. I stole a few TNA guys like Sting, Flair, Foley, Orlando Jordan, also signed Lashley, Jericho, WGTT, Nash, Austin Aries and Chris Masters.
The way to crown the first champ was a tournament where the winner of the tournament met Sting at The Great American Bash, well a babyface Master's dominated Nash, Satoshi Kojima, and William Regal to eventually face Sting, where Ric Flair interfered and helped Master's win, just as he helped Aries win the Cruiserweight, and WGTT win the Tag Titles, thus the New Four Horsemen.
Random I know.
