Miz's "new" belt is even lamer than when Edge unveiled his new belt and it was just the same blinged out POS with a spinning Rated R Superstar logo over the WWE logo. If the WWE is going to make a huge fuss with someone debuting a redesigned title, they should go all out like they did with the smoking skull belt or even the hardcore title with the bullhorns that JBL used when he was still going by Bradshaw. These last few "new" Superstar specific belts have been so cheap. When Cena wins the title back, maybe he'll put a "Hustle Loyalty Respect" sticker on it and call it a new belt.

I'm sorry, I'm a huge WWE fan, but the quality of Raw and Smackdown is going down the toilet. There are too many promos, most of which don't feel to me like they are advancing fueds, they just feel like they are wasting perfectly good match... times. And the fact that is is beginning to be rare to have a definite match finish in the main events is just pathetic. Tonights main event was awesome. Orton and Mysterio were in top form, and I would have loved to see who came out on top. But we instead were screwed over with CM Punk interrupting by popping up on the screen. On a positive note, I am glad to see the Nexus out of the picture for a while. Because watching the constant beat downs is pathetic, and overplayed. The Corre is the same way. Watching them gang up on Big Show and Kane last week and then Kozlov and Santino tonight just really makes me want to change the channel. Corre and Nexus are the lamest things in WWE right now next to Vickie Guerrero, Snooki at WM27, and Micheal Cole's ankle lock.

The WWE asked on Facebook is you enjoyed Raw tonight and one guy said this, which got quite a lot of "Likes".

You know what the funny thing is. The best time I've had watching Raw in a long time was before they started WrestleMania season. I was so excited to see this new infusion of young talent finally reaching potential.

You had Barrett leading the Nexus with Cena being "fired". He was arguably the best heel in the company. Miz was winning a title. Kofi Kingston and Dolph Ziggler had a nice feud.

Other guys like Morrison, Del Rio, Sheamus all had some good momentum going.


Now? You have a horribly lame WM build up happening.

They buried most of the new crop of talent, they broke up Nexus and saddled CM Punk with it and made him look weak as well as his entire group. Who have they exactly looked good against?

The Corre group seems insanely weak and repetitive. They have a totally forced looking tag team of Show and Kane? Huh?

Kofi Kingston has no one to feud with. Drew McIntyre who had an incredible amount of momentum is used about as much as Chris Masters now.

The only reason Sheamus and Bryan are feuding is they have no place for them. They debut Bourne only to have him beat a beaten down Sheamus and job him immdiately.

The two guys who were gone have seemingly brought the entire roster down in HHH and Taker. Their feud is one of the more boring build ups I have ever seen for a "main event." A five minute stare down, 20 video clips and not a single word uttered to each other. Wow. EPIC!

The only thing going right is Miz and MAYBE Del Rio. Though now we got two faces, a heel, and some talentless tub of lard they're trying to make into a star on Christian's level.

In my eyes, 2011 has seen the WWE totally regress from the momentum they had created in 09-10.

You guys ripping on the lack of response Bryan got don't know what you speak of. Bryan basically just finished filming the Main Event for Superstars (which actually was a pretty good Intergender Match Bryan/Gail vs Tyson/Melina) so the lack of reaction from the crowd was that he just was out there and not fresh like everyone else.

That being said. HHH's promo wasn't great at all. He got a good sized Pop when he came out but as he kept talking it just killed the crowd.

C.M. Punk is hilarious. The sarcastic freating of Orton's wife was great. He was also a part of the Dark Main Event with HHH/Cena vs him and Sheamus and he played to the crowd the entire time.

Women's match killed the crowd again until Cole interrupted it.

Vickie is a heat machine. Plain and simple. Biggest Heel reaction all night.

Miz is also the goods. Trish still looks great after all these years.

Also kinda a funny personal note. They tried to make it seem like Cena was via satellite after I just saw him outside walking in the back parking lot lol He wears what he wrestles in all day I swear haha

I will admit it takes him actually going in the ring during a match and wrestling to get over. The crowd was really into the Superstars taped match because it was a really good match (definitely recommend a watch). His promo skills are less then desirable, he just has a different kind of over I think. Cena and Orton can walk out and people go crazy. Bryan has to get into the flow of a match for that to happen.

I think 'Mania will have more 'less than casual' fans and I would not be surprised at all to see Miz get pops and Cena get booed.
I recently watched Mania 24 and if you look at the make-up of the crowd it's mostly adults - no doubt because of the ticket prices. Adults tend to be more "in the know"/"smarks" therefore I wouldn't be at all surprised for Miz to get cheeredover Cena.
If the WWE is going to make a huge fuss with someone debuting a redesigned title, they should go all out...

Bryan is only a crowd killer when his music hits, which, personally, I think needs to go. The generic rock theme he had fit his style a little better, and I think a live crowd would take it a little more seriously. I'm excited about a Sheamus/Bryan Mania match though. They had a good outing on Raw last week, and if given 10-15 minutes, as Bryan has been during his PPV matches, they could legitimately steal the show.

The Taker/HHH match better deliver an above average match at the least, because it is falling far short of the build HBK got with Taker at the last two Manias. Also, the "end the streak or die trying" line translates to "I'm going to lose then retire" from what I'm personally gathering.

Miz/Cena was a bit underwhelming, but I think the idea was to make Cena look a little stronger this week, only to have Miz look beastly once more come the final Raw. It makes sense.

Lawler/Cole continues to be the hottest feud going into Mania. Cole is on fire right now. From the parodied JR entrance, to the Cole Mine, to shitting on the Diva matches, and physically getting the upper hand on Lawler two weeks in a row, he's getting a great build to Mania. People ask why Austin hasn't been involved. Personally, they haven't needed him. It was different during the Lashley/Umaga and Lesnar/Goldberg feud, where Austin had to cover the mic work and generate some heat. This time around, Cole, Swagger and Lawler are doing more than fine on their own.

Trish Stratus and Michelle McCool is the most enticing aspect of the mixed tag match come Mania. I've seen enough of Ziggler and Morrison together to know they'll come through, but getting to see Trish wrestle WWE's current headline Diva has some great potential.

Punk mocking Orton's wife was great. They should have booked Orton against someone else other than Mysterio though. Not destroying DiBiase and putting him in a match with Orton would have been better. He could have gone over, and they wouldn't have wasted what could have potentially been a great match between Mysterio and Orton.

Overall, Raw was bland, but it makes writing to go home show a little easier, as I doubt they could fall this flat again.

Bringing the belt out on a podium under a sheet and unveiling it by turning out all the lights in the arena and playing a drum roll in a giant promo that claims to "rewrite Miz-tory" that they were hyping all night and put at the end of the show as the main event wasn't a fuss at all. He was over when he was feuding with the Miz. Give him someone to play off of, and he'll get over. Nobody gave two shits about John Morrison till he started getting involved with Jericho and Sheamus, and eventually, the Miz.

Maybe as a whole, but even then, I disagree.

Miz/Cena has been built well, and last night was the only time since the build started that it came off a bit flat. But it wasn't terrible, either.

Cole/Lawler is hands down, IMO, the best feud going into Mania. Lawler destroying Cole is going to be amazing simply for the weeks Cole has built up.

Rhodes/Mysterio has been lurking for almost two months, and they are continually making Rhodes look good.

Orton/Punk has been solid. Neither man has really laid into the other as they;ve been kept away from each other, and after systematically taking out the Nexus, Orton finally got one upped by Punk last night.

Corre/Big Show has been getting built since Barrett showed up on SmackDown!. I don't see how Kane seems forced here. He and Show share a common enemy. The build hasn't been spectacular, no. But it's not horrible.

Taker/HHH, Bryan/Sheamus, Morrison, Snooki, Trish/Ziggler, Laycool have been the worst builds going into Mania, and really, the only terrible one has been HHH/Taker, since they've just cut promos on each other the entire time, and have shared the same ring once.

The latter two are one/two weeks old, so I wouldn't expect massive builds.

The Del Rio/Edge feud is ok. Del Rio is looking vulnerable right now, which spells Mania win for me. Again, nothing great going on, but it's not terrible, either.

True, but the build has been sub par. They somehow found ways to keep HBK out of the ring with Taker, yet the build going into it was better than this year's. To be fair, HBK did attack the Undertaker at least once and cost Taker the title so it made Taker want revenge after initially showing no interest in HBK. At the same time, HBK was developing into an obsessive character that wanted revenge from his previous Mania loss and didn't care what he did to get his rematch.

It would have been better for Triple H to keep referencing their last Mania matchup as a reason why he wanted to end the streak and say how its been bugging him for years that loss. Instead the WWE wanted everyone to forget their WM 17 ever occurred.

Raw was mediocre, especially considering I've been very impressed with the show leading up till last monday. Next weeks raw should definitely make up for this weeks poor showing though.
