I'm going to flat out be honest, and most people know this, I don't like Jericho. Not because he is a heel, I just don't like him as a performer, and I know lots of people do. I respect him, hell of a work ethic, he tries his damnest, but I just don't like him. Maybe because he is canadian, or maybe it is because of his sparkling shirts, whatever. Just don't like him.
But what I now get is the complaint people make about HHH and not liking him. It has been said that HHH is the guy the top level guys have main-event matches with, sometimes he wins, sometime they win. It goes back and forth. Jericho is that guy only smaller. I don't know why it finally just clicked for me about why HHH is so hated, but anyhow. I hate Jericho, suck it.
Also I just watched the Jericho: Breaking the Walls Down on netflix. Last week I saw the Bigshow: A Gaint's World on netflix. And I am now getting why WWE sucks bad right now. Because Bigshow, Jericho and HHH are the mainevent guys. Those 3 shouldn't be the mainevent guys. Those 3 are the guys that help the maineventers look good.
Sorry, this post has already gone in 3 directions. But it is mine, and I do as I please. Comment on any thing.
I guess, but the main difference is that Jericho can still wrestle circles around HHH and especially Show.

That wasn't my point and I dont care about that. More of none of them are the draw. They are their to sweeten the pot.

I disagree that Jericho and HHH in any way have the same role. Jericho is much further down in the food chain and has never won the way HHH has.
Other than that I really have no comment. It all comes down to preference but I don't see the comparison here.
P.S. The sparkly shirts went out in 2007

And tied to that, Triple H is a guy who needs strong opponents to make him look like a million bucks.
Jericho is a guy who makes his opponents look like a million bucks.

I've never understood why fans comment on drawing ability in anything other than a discussion about drawing ability, much less use it as a measuring stick for quality of work/enjoyment.
What does it matter to me or you how much of a draw someone is? I don't get it. It's like judging a movie on it's box office or an album on how many records it sells.

Big Show's exactly where you want him to be, there to make main eventers look good.
Dunno exactly what you're basing the assertion that HHH and Jericho aren't draws on. Sure, they're not absolute top draws ala Stone Cold, Rock, and Hogan, but they certainly have put plenty of asses in the seats over the years based on their presence.

But really Jericho is still there to "sweeten the pot" or "make main eventers look good" or whatever you call it.
He is in no way the top guy like HHH is. He's used in the same role you suggest. He ultimately loses, and he's there to make Cena, Edge, Rey, or whoever look good.
HHH has dropped into that role more, but not nearly as much. Just last year he went over Sheamus at Wrestlemania, and retained the title against Orton the year before that in the main event.
He's not there to make guys look good all the time. He's also there to be a top guy.

Also I just watched the Jericho: Breaking the Walls Down on netflix. Last week I saw the Bigshow: A Gaint's World on netflix.
I watched both as well. WWE "movies" have a much different perspective then the real thing. I strongly recommend reading both of Jericho's books and see if you feel the same way. While I had a solid opinion about Chris beforehand, my adoration doubled after his first book (second one was ok, but the Fozzy stuff doesn't do it for me).
On the other-hand, Big Show needs more credibility; always thought that he deserved more.
Strictly looking for faults in his 'work' because he doesn't really have many, Jericho is kind of overrated in-ring wise because of how overwhelmingly loved he is, because he writes good books, makes entertaining public appearances, seems like a 'pretty cool guy' on top of anything he does wrestling-wise. I think a lot of people will tell you he is the/one of the greatest professional wrestler/s of all time which is fine from a 'My favourite wrestler' view but as an actual performer I don't see it as really all that close to being true. He can be sloppy (especially in his first WWE run) looks and moves awkwardly/gets caught in the headlights, throwing mini-tantrums and kicking somebody as hard as he can because of it, having real bad matches with certain people etc etc. There was a time years ago when he was really boring/stale, he'd come out and say 'Ass clown' a few times, have a sloppy match and then go home. Although this was all a lot more prevalent during his first run (WCW through WWF/E) which may have been down to being pretty much a 'top guy' since coming back/not opening PPV's/not doing the bulk of his work in the mid-card with guys ranging from Rikishi to Bull Buchanon/mostly working with top guys now. When he's active and when he can be bothered/is 'on it', his character is pretty much always bang on and with the right opponents (him and Rey consistently have some of the best matches between any 2 guys anywhere ever) he's great and a huge asset and he could wrestle circles around 90% of all the wrestlers on Earth. But I think a lot of people put him on the same level as Shawn Michaels, Savage, Rey, Dynamite etc. And I don't think he's close to them. [/negativity]

wait what does being Canadian and sparkling shirts have to do with anything?
Aside from that, you can have you're own opinion and all that jazz. You don't have to like him. In my opinion he's just there. Entertaining and stuff, I get what you mean.
But from what I understand, Jericho is a great performer because other superstars have said it. What better judge of your talent then the ones you work with.
A couple of years ago I believe it was Stone Cold who said the only way he could have another match would be if it was against Jericho because he felt 100% safe working with him, and still have the ability to put on a great show for the fans.

It's very hard to determine who is a draw and who isn't. Unless you ask a sample size of people who order a PPV or buy a ticket and ask them why are they there. I don't think they do that because they really don't give a shit about the concept of a draw anymore except for in merchandise. Jericho sold alot a merchandise and would have sold more if WCW had the brains to fully market WCW Monday Night Jericho. Though the shirt sales would have still gone to Hogan or Sting.
It's Team Sports fans over Player-fans now. People go for the brand name like WWE, Royal Rumble, Summerslam, Survivor Series or Wrestlemania.
In the old days when spot-shows had like lesser main event talents you could clearly see what stars drew people inside. A Harley Race apperance would bump up sales when he was the NWA Champion etc.
Not liking Jericho should be grounds for dismissal from the IWC, but then you wouldn't be here for us to laugh at how wrong you are about almost everything.

How do they get the box-office umbers from Avatar? Do they factor out the price of the glasses? They should do something to factor out that because the movie theaters provide the glasses not movie.
Besides Gone With the Wind is still the no1 movie when you factor in inflation. So, Gone is still the greatest film of all time because you have to factor in inflation.
And I am now getting why WWE sucks bad right now. Because Bigshow, Jericho and HHH are the mainevent guys.
They are?
Jericho who hasn't been with the company since September, HHH who returned a month ago (albeit straight into a Main Event WM match) after a near 10 month absence and Big Show who hasn't been involved with the WHC since April - June last year?
Those are the current Main Event guys and the reason WWE "sucks"?

There is one thing that HHH or Big Show can never lay claim to- Chris Jericho is the first ever Undisputed World Heavyweight Champion.

Technically Macho Man was announced as the undisputed WWF Champion when he won the tournament at WrestleMania IV. So, Jericho can call himself whatever he wants, but it has no basis in reality. Undisputed just means you won a tournament for a title (or won a vacant title, or unifed titles) which Jericho did a mini-four man tournament.

I can't even understand where you begin to say Jericho and HHH are the same. If you don't find him entertaining, fine, but he and HHH are nowhere near the same or on the same level of anything. HHH has had megapushes during his career, i don't really recall Jericho ever having one? Their matches are not at all the same, nor are their promo's. (Jericho did used to bore me abit with the stuff he said but he always had the emotion just right to make it entertaining)
So yeh, really don't know how you can compare the two. Also as has been said, those 3 haven't main evented in ages. Jericho has neevr enjoyed the same main event status as HHH, and when he has main evented he's always tried to make his opponent look great rather than just win all the time. Anyway, think i've made my point.

I think Jericho is actually pretty comfortable helping the newer guys out, or making the champ look good, or any such thing.
It might just be remnants from feeling mistreated/used in WCW, but I think Jericho likes giving the people lower on the card (which I guess should be everybody) some help.
As far as enjoyable vs not enjoyable, I guess it comes down to taste. And that's not really an argument worth having.

Orton and Cena top level in my eyes. Punk seems to be getting there.
Kind like people come for the Orton and Cena and stay for the Jerichos.

Are you seriously retarded? Wrestling is a business,, a business is measured on how much money it makes, thus the greatest wrestler is the one who has indeed drawn the most money. It's like any employee at any business, if he brings in the most money he is rewarded with raises ect...

I like Jericho. I didn't when he first came out. But I do now.
Why? Its not because of his work rate, drawing ability or popularity.
It is because...
wait for it...
Hes entertaining. Isn't that what its all about? Someone you like to see come on tv because he'll say or do something entertaining?
Just my 2 cents.
I feel the same about Big Show.

Right, and I'm supposed to base my enjoyment of a wrestler around how successful they are. Because I'm apparently a shareholder at Titan Towers

Forgot all about that. The Backlund thing. That was awesome.
I'm still pretty sure this is the quickest match ever though. Debatable since Boss Man probably "threw the match" if you read into the story.

I enjoy Chris Jericho because he entertains me. I haven't always been on the guy's dick, but since about 2005 or so, I've really felt that the guy could always deliver in spades. If I were laying down money for a WWE show, it would partially be because of Chris Jericho.
One reason I don't like Jericho is because his returns are over hyped and his return matches suck out loud.
The "Jericho Curse". If you've read his book(s) you'll know all about it. If you haven't read them you can't call yourself a wrestling fan :p.

Next evolution!? Judging by some of the guys here we're still waiting for that initial evolution (into something considered human).
