What fights do you wanna see??
Silva vs Bones would be sweet but I think Anderson needs wins over a guy like Rampage, Rashad, or Shogun before they should give him a shot at the LHW belt..
Phil Davis vs a guy like Franklin or Griffin would be good..
If Bones loses I think a fight between him and Machida would be entertaining, that's if machida beats Couture..
What are some of the matches you'd make if you were Joe Silva??

I don't think the most dominant champion/fighter in the history of the UFC would have to prove himself against anyone before fighting someone who just won the title. That's like saying GSP should have to fight Okami and Sonnen before he gets to fight Silva.
I do believe a fight between Phil Davis and Griffin would be good.
I wouldn't mind seeing BJ take on Benson Henderson at 155 or Koscheck at 170 only because Kos talks a lot of shit and BJ has a temper. I think he'd bring out the killer side of BJ.
Stefan Struve vs. Brendan Schaub would be a good match up of two young up and coming heavyweights.
If we're really talking fantasy match ups:
Phil Davis vs. King Mo is something I'd want to watch.
Damian Maia vs. Jacare would have some sick jiu jitsu
Diaz vs. GSP so Diaz can put up or shut up.
Fedor vs. Couture in a battle between two of the most respected guys in the business.
Yeah, would love to see Randy vs. Fedor, especially now Fedor can no longer pretend he's invincible.

But the UFC LHW division is the most stacked division in the history of MMA.. Comparing GSP moving to 185 where they are having to create contenders is alittle different than Silva moving to a division where the contenders are lined up around the block..

It's not about Anderson, it's about the fighters like Rashad, Rampage, Machida, Shogun, Griffin, Bader, Davis, etc..

cmon now. silva is the most dominant champion in history. jones is the only guy in the LHW division who would stand a chance against him.

It's not about Anderson, it's about the fighters like Rashad, Rampage, Machida, Shogun, Griffin, Bader, Davis, etc..
none of those fighters have defended a title 8 times in a row and jumped to heavier weight classes and dominated.
Griffin got his ass beat
Rampage lost to griffin
machida lost to rampage and wouldnt fight anderson aaaaand the ufc doesnt love him
shogun just got demolished in the title fight
rashad is fighting jones next
bader and davis are nowhere near even deserving of getting in a cage with anderson at this point and how you put their names in a list of guys who are in line or have claim to a title shot before ANDERSON SILVA is CRAZY

When Jones beat Bader that was for the number 1 contender spot..

technically it wasn't. they were going to offer jones the shot if he won but nobody said bader would have got it if he was the victor.

Simple fact is Silva is amazing, but he only has 2 lhw fights in the UFC.. Only 1 of those was against a contender and that was 2 years ago..
Not saying he can't contend just say g he should have a run at lhw before being givn a title shot..
Also, with the talent pool UFC has right now they'd be limiting there title fights having one fighter holding two belts..
If I can cheat & do Strikeforce v UFC too :p
Frankie Edgar v Jim Miller
Silva/Sonnen 2
Wandy v Belfort
Nick Diaz v Carlos Condit
Overeem v JDS

Dude. I'm pretty sure they'd have Silva vacate the Middleweight title before they moved him up to fight for the LHW title and most fighters aren't fond of yo-yo dieting and bouncing back and forth between weight classes especially if that would mean having to fight the #1 contenders of two separate weight classes. That's just common sense man.
Also, a guy who is undefeated and has closed out his division doesn't have to start at the middle of the pack if he moves up to a weight class he has already won two fights in. Anderson Silva isn't a prospect with potential who is moving up. He isn't B.J. Penn moving up after two losses. He's the most dominant fighter in UFC history.

Alot less talent in the welterweight division back then than there is in lhw..
Also, alot less "superstars" back then..
I'd like to see Fedor vs Struve, Bisping vs Anderson Silva, Penn vs Nick Diaz, Diego Sanchez vs Faber.

are you on crack? soooo fitch, koscheck, alves, and by the standards you set in your last post hardy, anthony johnson etc werent more deserving than a champion moving up without clearing their division in the first place?

lol...K.Lettus, youre awesome, but just say 'you know what? Youre right, my mistake, Silva doesnt need to prove anything to get a title shot'
Fact of the matter is, someone who cleans out their division, moves up in weight class, and makes a former LHW champ look like a rookie doesnt need to beat anyone to prove himself...he did that already. Eleven times.

Lesner/Fedor
Silva holding three belts at a time ;)
Cro Cop v Shogun kick bonanza
Bisping v Silva would be lulz too, I imagine it'd end like the Griffin fight.
We need Charles Bennett in the UFC tho, then Charles Bennett v GSP.
