Don't know whether to get the PPV or get it off bit torrent on Monday.

Usually I watch all the WWE stuff via streams but as it's WrestleMania, I want to actually watch it on my TV. So I'll hopefully be buying it.

I just need to find a cable provider first, then I'll be set. I'm hoping to get some sort of trial period from either Virgin Media or Sky, then cancel it or something after WrestleMania, as I'm a poor student who doesn't really have the money for a luxury like cable. :(

Nah, I actually took the Monday off to watch it, but I'm not feeling the card.

I miss MITB already :'(

I've got Virgin Media, I don't think you need any package to get the ppv channel.

Me. Can't wait.

I buy Rumble and Mania no matter what, so yes.

But really, I'm excited for the card for the most part. It's pretty great top to bottom, even if the builds (barring a few exceptions) have been sub-par. A lot of matches and angles I'm really looking forward to. Can't really say that about the past few years, which have been all about Taker/Michaels for me.

Tazz Dan
03-28-2011, 07:01 PM
I'm the same as Xero, I always purchase those two. My only issue is we get Raw, Smackdown, NXT and Superstars here in HD, but not the PPV's.

Corndad

Get it and usually Rumble every year. Have a few people over and split the cost and stuff. Normally a really good time.

You'd think they'd give the Anonymous Raw General Manager PPVs for free, but they don't... so I will be watching (hopefully) on a stream.... IN PROTEST.

Just bought about it, I've only watched one Wrestlemania while it was on live.

I bitched about The Rock V Hogan being boring on a video game forum.

$34.95 in Australia atm, which would be about $46 in America with the current dollar.... ;)

I will most certainly be watching/buying. As soon as I saw The Rock walk out it sold me on buying it.

Called up some buddies, and they are down to watch, even though they haven't watched wrestling since we were kids (2001ish). Going to be fun!

I'm not sure why people keep saying the card doesn't look great. There aren't any matches i'm not looking forward to except the Vickie/Trish tag match. Yeah i know who that match is meant to revolve around but i ain't fuckin sayin her(or its) name!

This is my debate.... Go to a party with a bunch of people I don't know with minimal girls, and even if there were hot girls it would be a disctraction, wrestling is something I watch only by myself or with select people that know me and like wrestling as much as I do, or girlfriends when I try to make them watch with me.

If I order it on cable, it's super expensive, I could split it with somebody, but its still 45 bucks and I don't really like the person.

I could try to watch a stream but the chances of that working out 100% are minimal, and more than likley it would ruin Wrestlemania for me, due to not being able to enjoy the matches. This happened once before, I guess last year, so I have a weak opinion of Shawn Michaels last match because the stream was lagging.

Or I could stay spoiler free, which will be hard unless I am doing something all night Sunday, take work off on Monday and download the show and have an 8 hour day of wrestling, which could be cool but a lot of watching.

WHATS THE BEST CHOICE?

Jordan
03-29-2011, 12:52 PM
And I fear in downloading a torrent I will be spoiled somehow, unless somebody on here found me a good link for a similar returnable favor, for any time up to a year.

I'd try and be spoiler free and have a day of epic wrestling goodness on Monday. If I lived in the states I'd never pay that much for a card, you guys are getting raped big time.

Team Sheep
03-29-2011, 01:16 PM
Tough choice. Watching wrestling in a crowd is shit. It's just a huge distraction and I end up not remembering or enjoying anything. But then like you say, it's a ridiculous price to pay to watch it alone. I wouldn't risk downloading it. It's not the same and you will almost definitely be spoiled somehow. Get 2 friends over you don't mind watching with and split it. And if they do get annoying, tell them to shut the fuck up. It's once a year and you've paid out your ass for it, so you want to enjoy it.

What Team Sheep said.

Corndad
03-29-2011, 02:37 PM
I would go with the first choice. You would be with alot of people but at least would be live and you would be with people you could actually stand to watch it with.

Second choice makes the whole night akward because you don't like the guy.

Last choice is a long shot especially with Facebook/Twitter Instant updates. You normally see things even when your not looking for them. Guaranteed you see something like "OMG I CAN"T BELIEVE CENA WON!" and be pissed cause you know outcome already.

Jordan
03-29-2011, 02:56 PM
Cena always wins. That aside, I would avoid EVERYTHING on sunday evening lol, and I guess around 1am try to get a torrent.

I'll be calling Virgin Media tomorrow and asking for cable. Though I was just told that I might not get my cable box installed before Sunday as there might be a waiting list.

So for all I know, Virgin Media might not be able to send someone out to my house until Monday. :(

$60 - $80???

I almost feel guilty NOT getting it for £15 over here.

I just have this irrational fear of Cena and Rock hugging at the end and The Rock raising his hand.

I'm in Dundee.

I'd be a returning customer though. If that'll make any difference?

I used to be with Virgin Media for Cable but I had to give that up and go with Freeview. So now, I just have Virgin Media for my Phone and Broadband.

Past few years we've had about 15 people come over here to watch it. They all throw in 10 bucks so that pays for the ppv and pizza/beer for everyone. We get other ppv's but 'Mania is the one where we have a big hoorah. Royal Rumble too, just not as big.

I think it was $50 last year. I'd like to get it in HD, but my cable provider sucks camel dicks.

Just bought about it, I've only watched one Wrestlemania while it was on live.

I bitched about The Rock V Hogan being boring on a video game forum.

So x8 then. Pretty decent show, but couldn't hold a candle to X-Seven. Anywho, I plan to hit the bar as usual and spend 4 hours watching it from there. Sounds like one of the most exciting PPV's on paper since at least X-Seven or x8, I'm just hoping that it's able to live up to all the hype...seems like they're putting a lot of pressure on themselves to do so.

As excited as I am for this years Mania, I still don't know if I'm going to spend $65+ on it. Not to sound spoiled but after having HD for over a year now, I just can't not watch Mania HD.

It's freakin' $59.99 for HD here and after taxes and fees it'll be at least $65+ and I'm not sure if I wanna spend that much on it to watch it at home by myself. After seeing the UK prices, we get RAPED here in the U.S.

I don't know any other wrestling fans where I live now unfortunately. I guess I could always go to a bar and watch it but it'd be pretty chaotic and I'd never enjoy it as much as at home.

Damian Rey
03-30-2011, 05:08 PM
Buying it. I think it's $65 for the HD feed, and with a 52 inch big screen to watch it on, I'm not passing that up. I've ordered every WrestleMania from 20 and on, and every year, I buy pizza, drinks, and invite my cousins over to sit down and watch the show.

My girlfriend is into WWE now, so this will be her 4th Mania with me. I love Mania Sunday. It is a yearly event for me. The only PPV I foot the bill for.

With that said, considering there's no MITB to eat up time on the card, I have a feeling Vince and co. will actually allow the guys to go out there and have extended time to work the matches. I'm excited for Bryan and Sheamus, as the latter really impressed me last year, and given Bryan's PPV match quality, I can see him ebing entrusted some quality time to work.

Both main events have me excited, I think Ziggler and Morrison are going to tear the house down per usual, Trish and McCool in the same ring is awesome, Lawler/Cole should be great with Austin and Swagger likely mixing it up, Triple H and Taker should be good strictly for the atmosphere, and the fact that I'm getting the vibe that Hunter will go out on his back and call it a career, and The FUCKING Rock is going to be there, which has lead to a friend of mine excepting my invitation.

I honestly cannot wait. I'm in full Mania mode.
