I like the idea of violin in punk rock. Pretty unique, I think.

I hate the idea of violin in a punk band. Fortunately Yellowcard are Pop-Punk, so it's all acceptable.

I like the idea of bagpipes in a punk band, better. See: Mudmen

hahaha pathetic

What's Pathetic? The fact I have an opinion?
The way Yellowcard has been portrayed in New Zealand has been as a pop punk bullshit band that 12 year old girls scream over.
You may refer to it as punk, I refer to it as bullshit.
If you have seen a different side, then that's your own business.

Nobody forces you to listen to "pop punk."

Nobody forces you to listen to people calling it shite either.

exactly, and that's why I choose not to.
So whats the problem?

No no, I was just laughing because if it's a "punk band with a violeniist", it is blasphemous. When it's a "pop-punk band with a violenist" it is fine because it is shit. Just another one of those silly arguments over the 4-letter word that means nothing. I find stuff like that amusing is all.

Uh, what? That made no sense.

If I knew he was going to bash it, I wouldn't have read his post.

It makes as much sense as your post did. I make no effort to listen to shit pop-punk at all, but I still seem to hear quite alot of it unintentionally.

However, I only make it an issue if I complain about it, and you only make it an issue if you respond to the complaint. There is nothing here to say that you cannot criticise a band or music that you do not like, which is lucky because we all do it.

Yellowcard are derivative bollocks.

So Besides alot of the new stuff I occasionally hear over the pop radio stations here, does anyone have any recommendations to some of their other stuff that I may not of heard?
I am open to suggestions, just nothing I have heard from them has been that impressive :)

I heard somewhere that Yellowcard had been kicked off the Less Than Jake UK tour and replaced with Capdown. Unfortunatly that didn't happen.

I was actually really disappointed that Capdown weren't doing all the LTJ dates, I'd much much rather see them than Yellowcard. I don't particularly lke them.
