And I constantly get the feeling it is for immature mature audiences. Like I'm now 18, living on my own and can do whatever I want, so I eat ice cream for dinner, drink and smoke because I can and watch cartoons with tits in them.

Not a big fan of anime either, but I usually will watch FLCL at least twice a year. Oh and Shin-Chan is hilarious, not sure if it is considered anime though.

Used to watch anime, but fell out of it as I grew older.

I think the last thing I tried to watch was some new .hack// show because I watched and enjoyed the first two.

Got like halfway through the first episode and just could not make it through. Can't deal with the "Let's stand around and be silent to show how dramatic this is" or the opposite "Let's just speak and act in really overdramatic tones to show how dramatic this is"

The oxymoron is intentional. The old but not mature.

Lets see as the couple of animes I have watched lately are Desert Punk, which was silly and Sekirei which is juvenile and I just get the sense of the people making it are giggling and jerking off while making every frame.

BTW, I use to watch like Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and Cowboy Bebop. Also I love Avatar which is anime-esque and stuff from Ghilbi studios, which techincally counts.

I generally hate all Anime. I just don't "get it." My friends used to be all about DBZ when we were in middle school and I'd watch it with them and two guys would be "powering up" for like 10 minutes and yelling ridiculous things at each other and I'd just be like "holy shit are they going to fucking fight or not?!"

The only anime I've ever watched that I really enjoyed is the movie "Akira", which is fucking amazing and blew me away in every way possible.

I also don't understand why Anime creators are so obsessed with freakish monsters with crazy tentacles that rape people and shit. Even "Akira" has one of the main characters transform into this giant blob monster thing with freaky tentacles. What the fuck is with the god damn tentacles?!

I like a couple of them but nothing super a lot. I like stuff like Akira, Vampire Hunter D and Dragon Ball Z... Devil May Cry was pretty okay... tried to watch stuff on adult swim and I end up doing other things. So there are some good ones, just nothing I really wanted to dig too deep into.
