I was just on yahoo and it has an article calling OVW the "Harvard of pro wrestling". I know that it was a development territory for WWE for a long time, but would you call it the best wrestling school in America? Considering the caliber of schools out there FCW, PWA, TWA, ROH how would you rate it?

They have TV, a great setup, 'invite only' stuff, connections to WWE still, guys like Nick Dinsmore, Danny Davis and Rip Rogers who have 'been there, done that'/can teach you more than you'll ever need to know etc. It's definitely 'up there'.

The guys that have come through there suggest OVW.

Some huge names.

Some huge names.

Lesnar, Cena, Orton, Batista, WGTT, Cody, Dolph, Santino, Miz and Morrison (post-Tough Enough) plus guys like Rico, the Bashams, Eugene, Hassan, Cryme Tyme, Conway, the Spirit Squad, Kozlov...

Granted, some of those guys had some experience before OVW, but that place made pretty much this entire generation Tv-ready.

I agree. It was also one of the main territories of the NWA starting out, before becoming a WWE Developmental territory, until recently.

I would think that they should bill themselves as such but in truth the Julliard of Wrestling Schools would be FCW, as FCW is now what OVW used to be.

Expected you to come in here and talk about a shoot dojo in Japan from the 1940's.

Isn't OVW and FCW basically like the minors of wrestling? Like FCW is Triple A, whereas OVW is Double A.

FCW is WWE's developmental territory. But before WWE was there it was in existance. Same with OVW, now if you get trained at OVW and you don't look like a wet noodle, you have a good shot of getting on the radar for FCW. I looked on the website once out of curiosity, OVW has a three step training program, and three of the trainers include Nick Ninsmore for beginners, Rip Rodgers on an invited bases, and Al Snow for advanced. If your on Al Snow's radar, you got a shot at getting on WWE's radar or TNA's radar one would think. But come on don't look like a jobber and think your gonna be on WWE TV.

Brooklyn Brawler made a good living at being a jobber.

Harley Race's school and promotion is still going.

Don't forget wrestling schools and promotions ran by George South, Booker T, and Lance Storm.

don't make me laugh....that school was ran by Buddy Lee Parker, a nobody and the only real name to come out of the WCW Power Plant, was Goldberg and that was cause Finlay was there running shit at the time along with Paul Orndorff, otherwise that school was a joke
