View Full Version : So looks like The Rock's gonna come back, who do you want him to "Sports Entertain" with?

Other than John Cena or The Miz what WWE Superstars would be the most interesting crossing paths with The Rock?
I'm thinking Sheamus, Punk, and if he wants to go at Wrestlemania next year Randy Orton.
Just think of what The Rock could do to Sheamus on the mic, I mean Cena was pretty good with Sheamus but The Rock would OWN him, obviously due to the unnaturally white skin he has.
CM Punk and The Rock I could see being really crazy, and would be a good program to put The Rock over, if they wanted too.
BUT Orton/The Rock would be the most ridiculous match WWE could have probably. I feel like the ELECTRICTY those two would create would be as big as Andre and Hogan, maybe even bigger. They are fucking intense and Orton is a master at the game.
So who do you want the Rock to rassle?

Aside from Miz, Punk is the only guy I would be really interested in The Rock feud with.

The Rock vs. CM Punk would be amazing. Part of me really wants to see The Rock vs. John Morrison and The Rock vs. Dolph Ziggler, too. He could put some younger talent right over.

I don't see the Rock returning to in-ring action other than a short program with John Cena.

I don't know, but a face Rock, with witty lines and putting people down by owning them, would get stale pretty quick.
Now, a heel Rock...THAT would be money.

And that's the thing, if the Rock returns to wrestling I don't see him being a heel for a while because his face persona is going so well.

CM Punk and Randy Orton.

Orton is the money feud. Especially with the alleged recent comments that Cena is "10 times the in ring performer that Rock is"

Depends on if Rock is jobbing or winning. If he's winning, I'd say someone like Sheamus. Just someone he can tear apart and go clean and no one will really remember it.
If he's jobbing, I'd like to see Punk get that win.

Rock v Sheamus would just be pointless.

So was The Rock vs. Billy Gunn, but we watched it.
Did we?
I honestly only remember that one promo from Heat.

He pretty much just said he would the other day. Prolly a one off or something, but still.
Wouldn't mind seeing Orton go back to his old heel persona as the Legend Killer and try to destroy The Rock. Could be pretty awesome. Other than that, I don't really know. The current WWE roster is so lacking in "holy shit" talent that there aren't really any other "dream matches." CM Punk and Rock could kill it on the mic against one another, but I don't really know what the angle would be there.
A returning Chris Jericho going after Rock would be pretty awesome, but nothing we haven't seen before.

First of, Sheamus' skin is not unnaturally white. He is like allergic to sun light, and a natural response to getting very little sunlight is becoming very pale/white.
As for Rock - I'd love to see Rock Vs. Del Rio

I'm pissed!
Soon as HBK retires in 1998, The Rock takes off, becomes a Main Eventer and a Mega Star, but we never get to see HBK vs The Rock...
...HBK comes back in 2002, but The Rock had already "gone Hollywood"...IN 2003 when he comes back briefly, he wrestles Hogan, Austin and Goldberg, but HBK was feuding with Chris Jericho, then Rock leaves, and again, we never get to see HBK vs The Rock...
...now, in 2011, The Rock comes back to the WWE, but HBK is retired and in the Hall of Fame, so once again, we never get to see HBK vs The Rock...
...WASSUPWITDAT?!

Wanna see Rock beat the fuck out of Cena first before I speculate on any future feuds, but

^THAT. Is it just me or did Rock not immediately come out to the ring on RAW the night after Mania XX and challenge him one-on-one, only to be turned down by Orton? That would be great if they could set up a program between those two in the future.
I'd also like to see Shawn Michaels do a short return and maybe have a short program w/Rock since they've somehow never clashed.

Punk for sure, Del Rio/Orton and maybe even Swagger if he feels like getting him over. Cena & Miz are the obvious ones though.

Actually, Rock took a hiatus after WrestleMania XX. Randy Orton challenged Mick Foley to a 1-on-1 match the night after WM20 and Foley turned him down before finally accepting the match as Cactus Jack - then they had their epic No Holds Barred match at Backlash.
