The Corre getting squashed was the only thing about Wrestlemania that annoyed me. I'm a big fan of this group and they were made to look horribly weak. What's next for The Corre? You'd have to think that the tag belts will be on Big Show and Kane sooner than later.

WWE never knows what to do with stables/tag teams anymore. Its not that hard to make them look good ffs.

Barrett has been dead since Nexus. I never bought Corre as anything because of the Nexus' past, and I honestly don't care at this point about any of them. They're so far buried that at the very least, Barrett is going to need to be repackaged for me to take his shit seriously.

I actually like The Corre more than Nexus. I think Gabriel and Slater make a good team, Jackson is a powerhouse and I've always been a fan of Barrett.

Lol do you realize Gabriel and Slater are already three time tag team champions?

I'm still mad that Kane is a face, standing there shaking everyone's hand, when last year he executed a plan ten years in the making to get rid of the Undertaker, and now he's making friendlies with everyone as if 2010 never happened.

Seemed like the typical face squash that they always have at WrestleMania. I'd be willing to put a fair bit of money on Barrett destroying somebody at Extreme Rules.

Pretty much this.

Having already lead a stable I expected Barrett to strike out on his own and become a pretty big star. Then he's <s>leading</s> part of another stable straight away. If he is to get over any more than he is now he needs to go solo IMO.

<font color=goldenrod>With Punk still wearing his Nexus armband (showing the group is technically still alive I suppose) I'd love to just see them resurface and beat the crap out of Punk before Barrett comes out and merges the Corre with them - revealing it was all "part of the bigger picture".

Will never happen since WWE forgot about the "bigger picture" idea a long time ago but seeing Nexus be back at full force with 7 or 8 guys (depending on whether or not you keep Mason Ryan who was supposedly handpicked by Punk) and having representation on both shows could actually breathe life into the group and at least allow it to see its first birthday. They could also keep it similar to the Corre in that everybody in the group is an equal (even if Barrett clearly is the top dog).

Again, it'll never happen but I may as well throw it out there. Was such a brilliant concept that was squashed by two guys.</font>

Sooo True.

The Corre could be a really good stable but wwe kinda fucks up, like always in the past years.

The way I look at ADR failed and I'm pretty sure despite their loss The Corre's next target will be dare I say Edge and Christian.

I think it was WWE's way of saying "who cares what happens on Smackdown."

Yup pretty much, that's why I was worried as soon as Barrett got put on SD.

Not hard to do when your only competition is Kozlov and Santino. Hell, the Usos aren't even in the picture, and they're literally the only other tag team.

CM Punk is the only one who can remember the past like that, silly. He's like WWE's version of Deadpool!

My Corre rebuilding strategy:

* To give him some time off, The Corre attacks Triple H and leaves him broken. Barrett says that the WrestleMania loss has encouraged them to step up their game, and truly take the reigns of the WWE.

* At Extreme Rules, Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel really arrive on the scene as a tag team when they defeat Big Show & Kane, Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov and R-Truth & Johnny Curtis in a Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Tornado Match when Johnny Curtis turns on R-Truth for "never being there for him on NXT" and possibly even joins The Corre (although not necessary).

* At Extreme Rules, Wade Barrett defeats Kofi Kingston in a Steel Cage Match to retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Kingston looks to escape the cage, but Barrett meets him up there. Kofi manages to knock Wade to the floor, and thinks about climbing out, but instead decides to try a pump crossbody from the cage, but misses, annhilating himself. Barrett then picks up the scraps and retains.

* At Over the Limit, Theodore Long thinks he has worked out a plan to destroy The Corre -- or rather have The Corre destroy themselves. He signs Wade Barrett to defend the IC Title against Ezekiel Jackson, Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater in a Fatal 4-Way Match. The prestige of the Intercontinental Championship can be used as a trigger for causing tension in the group, as Gabriel, Slater and Jackson all let it be known that they would love to be the Intercontinental Champion -- but all say that they will remain with the group, etc. This experiment by Long will determine whether or not The Corre do all treat themselves as equals. But to add to the tension, Long could even add a stipulation that the loser will be fired from SmackDown!.

* At Over the Limit, Wade Barrett retains the IC Title, with Ezekiel Jackson taking the fall (perhaps because Barrett, Gabriel & Slater single him out as the only non-Nexus member). As a result, Jackson returns to RAW, but it seems as if The Corre has lost their muscle: enter the returning Skip Sheffield.

That at least takes you heading into Capitol Punishment with the group remaining (for the most part) together, mostly dominant and victorious, and not really damaging any established guys in the process.

It's a beautiful irony isn't it? You dislike Daniel Bryan, I like him. His match got pushed over to RAW, where he got squashed by Sheamus and then Sin Cara made his premiere, attacking Sheamus....

I dig the Corre though and also was displeased with the waste of time they gave gave them. That match was a waste. Now since they gave that piece of crap match 3 minutes or less, I think what happened on RAW with Sheamus and Sin Cara would have been more effective on WM...

On WM they could have extended the 'RAW' US Title match by at least 2 minutes, let Sheamus do what he did, but let Bryan showcase some moves, have him kick him hard and win, here comes Sin Cara- show casing his Micheal Jordon suicide jump, attacking Sheamus.... making a better impact and including the US belt on the card.

US Title match, Sheamus, Daniel Bryan and Sin Cara & a crappy 3 minute waste of time filler match could have fit on the card.

A bunch of heel rookies were beat by a bunch of face veterans at WRESTLEMANIA. If this was any other show then maybe it would be a problem, but for Wrestlemania the face group of veterans should kick the ass of a bunch of rookies. (I realize Jackson has been around for a little bit now).

That's pretty much it, Ruien. We saw the same thing with the ECW Originals and The New Breed.

Really wish that the Corre come out and break Big Show's arm so we can see the old NWO VS. The Giant angle played out again.

I feel like that 8 man tag was thrown together more or less so that the fan faves and big names (Kane, Show and Kofi) could be on the card and give the fans a feel good moment. I don't think that squash was fully indicative of future storylines.

After SmackDown!, and the DQ ending and Extreme Rules being the next PPV, I see some sort of 8-Man No DQ match coming up between Big Show, Kane, Kofi Kingston & Santino Marella and The Corre. Personally, I feel as if The Corre need to win that match, big time.
