They better have something along the lines of
Jerry Lawler vs Michael Cole: Fan's Revenge Lumberjack match.
SlickyTrickyDamon
04-05-2011, 12:42 PM
Obviously Cody/Rey is leading towards a Mask Vs. Mask match again. Jerry and Cole will of course have a Cole Miner's Glove match. Cole will claim to be the expert of it cause he's Cole.
if they really want 'Extreme Rules' to be legit they better hire Abdullah on a legends contract STAT.

Is every match at extreme rules a gimmick match now, thought it was just the 'main events' ?

Color me stupid but I think we're going to get The Rock/John Cena vs the Corre in a 2 on 4 Handicap Match.
Which allows the Miz to wrestle Morrison in a Ladder Match.
Edge vs Del Rio in a Street Fighter Bonus Round match (whoever destroys the others car the fastest wins)
Cole vs Lawler in a Coal Miners Glove match with special guest referee Jake Roberts

Shad and JTG had a strap match last year. Every match has some sort of gimmick even the shitty ones that were thrown together at the last minute.

I'm pretty sure the Miz vs. Cena feud is over. Cena said Miz got his respect, congratulated him and moved on last night and both men did things with others last night. Seems like they put a nice "it's over" cap on it last night.
I'm thinking...
Cena & Rock vs. The Corre in a 4 on 2 handicap match for the tag titles
And then maybe Miz vs. Morrison in a ladder match for the WWE Title? Or possibly Miz vs. HHH, no holds barred for the title?
I won't post a whole card from my phone... but how about Cole/Swagger vs Bryan and King in tag team submission match?
For a minute I thought you meant Brian Christopher!!
Team Cole v Lawler/DB sounds good (even if I wish they'd ended the fued at Mania).

Pretty sure they'll put Sheamus v. Sin Cara on the card in some capacity.
That would actually work as a ladder match, especially if they want Cara to go over. Allows him to beat Sheamus without having to pin him.

I think my ideal card would look like this...
WWE Tag Team Title 4 on 2 Handicap Match
The Rock and John Cena vs. The Corre
WWE Title No Holds Barred Match
Triple H vs. The Miz
World Title Triple Threat Ladder Match
Christian vs. Alberto Del Rio (w/ Brodus Clay) vs. Edge
I Quit Match
Randy Orton vs. CM Punk
Mask vs. Mask
Cody Rhodes vs. Rey Mysterio
Tag Team Submission Match
Michael Cole and Jack Swagger vs. Jerry Lawler and Daniel Bryan
Steel Cage Match
Dolph Ziggler vs. John Morrison
Yeah, I stole dronepool's tag submission match idea... I just think that would be a really good idea.

Yeah, I'm going to steal some of the ones posted:
5-Way Match for the WWE Championship
The Miz (c) vs. Randy Orton vs. CM Punk vs. John Morrison vs. Dolph Ziggler
Ladder Match for the World Heavyweight Championship
Edge (c) vs. Alberto Del Rio
4-on-2 Handicap Match
John Cena & The Rock vs. The Corre
Tag Team Submission Match
Jack Swagger & Michael Cole vs. Daniel Bryan & Jerry Lawler (this one is a winner)
Extreme Rules
Cody Rhodes vs. Rey Mysterio
WWE United States Championship
Sheamus (c) vs. Sin Cara
Extreme Makeover
Michelle McCool vs. Layla (this one is actually a good idea, in my opinion)

No Holds Barred Match for the WWE Championship
The Miz (c) (with Alex Riley) vs. Triple H (with Stone Cold Steve Austin)
-John Cena seemingly stepped away from The Miz, and let his win stand unquestioned. It's time for a new challenger. The Miz seemingly planted the seeds for something with Stone Cold Steve Austin. Call me stupid, but to me, it seemed obvious that they want people to expect a match between the two. It wasn't just a segment -- they'll be something that brews from this. I think that furthers here, as The Miz lays out a challenge to Stone Cold, who says he would love to return and beat The Miz, but he's found a different opponent for him. Triple H then comes out, and challenges The Miz to the same style of match he had with The Undertaker at WrestleMania, to see if The Miz can survive what The Undertaker barely did.
Ladder Match for the World Heavyweight Championship
Edge (c) (with Christian) vs. Alberto Del Rio (with Brodus Clay)
-This one is pretty simple: Edge defends against the WrestleMania opponent who has a lot to prove and a personal vendetta against the World Heavyweight Champion. Christian promises to back-up his friend, and Brodus Clay is the hired hand of Del Rio. Very similar dynamics to the WWE Championship match, granted, but often there is such symmetry with things in the WWE.
Last Man Standing Match
Randy Orton vs. CM Punk
-It makes no sense to drop the hatred between these two men. No sense at all. Plus, I can just imagine CM Punk dropping the soundbyte -- "Randy, at Extreme Rules...you won't have a leg to stand on." These two really delivered at WrestleMania, and both can work the more violent style, and I could actually see this becoming quite a psychology-based Last Man Standing.
Extreme Rules Match - Mask vs. Mask
Cody Rhodes vs. Rey Mysterio
-I can very easily see the emphasis of this feud switching to Rhodes trying to "de-face" Mysterio, just as Mysterio de-faced him -- while Rey just wants Cody to lose the mask so people can kick him in the face. These two more than met expectations at WrestleMania, so it would only make sense for this feud to get more PPV time.
Tag Team Submission Match
Team Cole (Michael Cole & Jack Swagger) vs. Jerry Lawler & John Cena
-I had Daniel Bryan in here, but John Cena didn't fit anywhere else on my card, and Daniel Bryan will probably just be moved to SmackDown! in the draft. Cole can goad King into another match for whatever reason, and King agrees, but only if he can choose his tag team partner. King chooses John Cena, who really only has things going on with The Rock at present, and he's not a full-time performer.
Extreme Rules Match for the WWE United States Championship
Sheamus (c) vs. Sin Cara
-While Sin Cara might keep attacking random people, they really struck some intrigue in the idea of Sheamus vs. this new mysterious foe. A Mexican icon vs. the Irish-born United States Champion. Sheamus has worked well with smaller guys in the past, and even if Sin Cara were to lose to Sheamus (and I doubt he would), he'd still be in there with a former two-time WWE Champion in his PPV debut. It'd remind me a lot of Rey's PPV debut against Kurt Angle.
Steel Cage Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship
Wade Barrett (c) vs. Kofi Kingston
-This match could really happen anytime, but why not at Extreme Rules? Barrett headlined so many PPVs last year, and Kofi is an over act. The Steel Cage seems like an obvious stip to me, because Cage Matches have traditionally been used to keep people out (whilst they rarely ever do) -- thus it seems like something Teddy Long would go to to give Kofi a fair shot at the IC Title. A lot of people seem to be going with John Cena & The Rock vs. The Corre, but I have a feeling that segment was to just have some guys bump for Cena & Rock to show off their finishing moves. It'd also leave Kofi, Big Show and Kane nothing to do for the PPV.
Gauntlet Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship
Justin Gabriel & Heath Slater (c) vs. Big Show & Kane vs. Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov vs. R-Truth & Johnny Curtis
-This match would be an absolute mess, but it could be a lot of fun. The Corre have a lot of enemies right now, so putting Slater & Gabriel against them all would make sense. R-Truth & Johnny Curtis probably won't get added, but they are owed a shot at the WWE Tag Team Titles, so it might be time to put them into the running. I had this as a Fatal 4-Way Tornado Tag, but looking over the Extreme Rules card for last year, they actually had ShoMiz in a match like this. I could very easily see one happening again.
Triple Threat Match for the WWE Divas Championship
Eve Torres (c) vs. Michelle McCool vs. Layla
-I realise this takes us up to nine matches on the card, which isn't very likely, but this one could be over pretty quick. I always felt that Torres vs. McCool vs. Layla was the plan for WrestleMania when Eve won the title, but that was before Snooki and Trish Stratus got involved. But now I can very easily see the WrestleMania scenario I predicted play out: McCool and Layla try to work together, but they end up fighting and Torres capitalises to retain -- thus leading to the LayCool break-up. We could even get the debut of Amazing Kong after this match, making an immediate impact by giving a Kong Bomb to Torres.
Pre-Show
John Morrison vs. Dolph Ziggler
-While these two will likely continue feuding, I just can't think of a match that would really fit their program right now. This would certainly get the crowd pumped, and wouldn't it be awesome if they included it on the DVD or something?

I was thinking more what will happen. A realistic card more than a fantasy one.
Ziggler vs. Morrison shouldn't be pre-show, no, and both guys are receiving pushes at the moment, but with Morrison reportedly being unprofessional and shit, I could see him made less of a priority. Also, what real reason do Morrison and Ziggler have to really take their feud beyond regular matches?
I guess their feud could really intensify over the coming weeks. I'd bet on a Falls Count Anywhere Match between them, since the WWE loves putting Morrison in those -- it's kind of his match of choice. The WWE loves showing off Morrison's parkour stuff. So yeah, I'd go with that being on the card, actually.
They'll probably just do another WrestleMania rematch between The Corre and Big Show, Kane, Santino Marella & Kofi Kingston.

So a slight change:
No Holds Barred Match for the WWE Championship
The Miz (c) vs. Triple H
Winner: The Miz via pinfall.
Ladder Match for the World Heavyweight Championship
Edge (c) vs. Alberto Del Rio
Winner: Edge
Last Man Standing Match
Randy Orton vs. CM Punk
Winner: CM Punk
Tag Team Submission Match
John Cena & Jerry "The King" Lawler vs. Jack Swagger & Michael Cole
Winners: John Cena & Jerry "The King" Lawler via submission.
Extreme Rules Match - Mask vs. Mask Match
Cody Rhodes vs. Rey Mysterio
Winner: Rey Mysterio via pinfall.
Falls Count Anywhere Match
John Morrison vs. Dolph Ziggler
Winner: John Morrison via pinfall.
8-Man Tag Team Tables Elimination Match
Big Show, Kane, Kofi Kingston & Santino Marella vs. The Corre
Winners: The Corre
Extreme Rules Match for the WWE United States Championship
Sheamus (c) vs. Sin Cara
Winner: Sin Cara via submission.
Dark Match
Daniel Bryan vs. Zack Ryder
Winner: Daniel Bryan via submission.
* Daniel Bryan and Zack Ryder get the crowd pumped by working a 10-minute or so dark match, with Bryan going over cleanly with the LeBell Lock.
* In my opinion, the PPV commentary team should be Jim Ross, Josh Mathews & Booker T.
* The opening match could be the Falls Count Anywhere between John Morrison and Dolph Ziggler. The match is all Morrison until Vickie Guerrero hits Morrison from behind with a kendo stick or something. Trish Stratus tries to cancel out the Vickie factor, but Vickie is just swinging her weapon around wildly. Kelly Kelly takes Vickie down from out of nowhere, though, and Trish and Kelly successfully get rid of Vickie. Morrison shows off some of his parkour stuff using the arena to his advantage, and proves why this is fastly becoming "his match." Ziggler gets in some innovative offence, too, though. But in the end, Morrison wins after hitting something insane. As a bit of a rib on him and Melina, however, after the match, Trish Stratus & Kelly Kelly come down to celebrate after the match. In the excitement of the moment, Kelly Kelly plants a kiss on Morrison. Trish then seems a little upset by this, and grabs Morrison and embraces him. Then Morrison goes back and makes out with Kelly again. He'll take them both! He's hardcore! Sorry, "Extreme..."
* The Corre finally get something over their most recent enemies, when they manage to put Kane, Big Show, Santino Marella & Kofi Kingston all through tables with none of them being eliminated. There can still be some nice offence from the faces, but after The Corre work together to eliminate Kane, and then put Kofi Kingston through, there's only so much that Big Show & Marella can do, for example. Vladimir Kozlov could run-out and be a factor, but I'd have The Corre put him through a table to. It's about time they look dominant again.
* Sin Cara defeats Sheamus via submission when he catches Sheamus with La Mistica (his tilt-a-whirl headscissors eventually turned into a Fujiwara armbar. Sheamus gets to the ropes, but Sin Cara refuses to break his hold, and he can't get disqualified, so Sheamus taps.
* The tag team submission match is mainly worked by John Cena and Jack Swagger, thank goodness, although Lawler and Cole can both add entertaining parts, though. Cena putting the STF on Michael Cole might actually get people to pop the move...
* Rey Mysterio defeats Cody Rhodes to keep his mask, perhaps with assist from either Sin Cara or Trent Barreta. The later would be payback for Rhodes beating him up post-match, but would only happen if Barreta were to get a push. Sin Cara seems to be some sort of spiritual character attacking the wicked, and Cody could fit that. A feud between Rhodes & Sin Cara over the US Title on RAW would be pretty intense, no?
* I think CM Punk should win the Last Man Standing Match, so he gets something over Randy Orton. I don't care if Chris Jericho helps out Orton, Colt Cabana comes in to start a new group with Punk, the Nexus returns or Punk does it cleanly -- I just think that a win here would really benefit him. Punk seems to have a new Nexus shirt, and he's still wearing the armband, which is weird to me. David Otunga and Mason Ryan are in no danger of being released, either. They might not be ready to be full-time roster members, but that's why being Punk's lackeys suits them so well. The Nexus could even get more over if they attack both men, leave them lying, and Otunga is the new leader (but also takes more of a mouthpiece role). They could pick up old members like Skip Sheffield and Michael Tarver, too.
* I could very easily see Alberto Del Rio winning the Ladder Match, but for some reason I'm getting the vibe that Del Rio is RAW-bound. I mean, he's still featured on RAW even after WrestleMania. I can see Christian canceling out Brodus Clay and Ricardo Rodriguez, and then nailing Del Rio with a steel chair as he is climbing the ladder. Cue an insane spot where Christian pushes the ladder Del Rio is one, sending him crashing into tables, or something. Edge then climbs and retains. Del Rio is then drafted to RAW, and Christian asks Edge for a World Heavyweight Title shot -- with both of them faces -- at Over the Limit.
* Stone Cold Steve Austin cancels out the Alex Riley factor, and perhaps even does something like toss Riley off the stage. That leaves The Miz and Triple H to do as The Miz and Triple H do. It looks like Triple H is about to win the WWE Title, when the lights go out, there is a gong, and when they come on, The Miz is slowly recovering and Triple H has been knocked down. Triple H kicks out at a two count, but The Miz capitalises with a Skull-Crushing Finale and that gets him three.
Other Angles & Developments:
* LayCool earn PPV paychecks by doing something. Perhaps their couples therapy leads them back to doing what bound them in the first place -- destroying other Divas' sense of self-worth? McCool & Layla target Eve at this PPV, setting up for the Triple Threat I mentioned earlier at Over the Limit (where Kong, in turn, debuts).
* Daniel Bryan gets a spot on the show talking to Gail Kim about the possibility that they will be broken up by the draft.
* Drew McIntyre, infuriated by what he saw Morrison do with Kelly Kelly, plays the jilted lover, and attacks Morrison backstage. I could see McIntyre and Morrison both changing shows, actually, but either way, they end up on either RAW or SmackDown! together where a feud develops in time for Over the Limit.
Without even thinking too much about it, you now have Edge vs. Christian, Sin Cara vs. Cody Rhodes, John Morrison vs. Drew McIntyre and Eve Torres vs. Michelle McCool vs. Layla set-up for the next PPV.

I think Morrison and Ziggler in a cage would be fitting. Their matches always include others in a tag environment or interference. So they make it a match where it just one on one.

Honestly.... I wouldnt mind seeing this throw together match
Rey vs Sincara vs Evan Bourne
Triple Threat Latter match....
Winner becomes number 1 contender for IC or US title.
Gives a great match, lets Evan Bourne and Sincara show case their high lfying abilty with no limits. Gives Rey an excuse to wrestle Sincara.
