Predict the Road To Summerslam

Inspired by X's <a href="http://tpww.net/forums/showthread.php?t=110302">Predict The Road To WrestleMania</a> thread from January, here's a chance to predict the card for WWE's second-biggest show of the year. Give as much of the build-up as you want. I'll post mine sometime in the next couple of days (I'm out of town until tomorrow), but I just wanted to see what everybody comes up with while the idea is fresh in my head.

Hope The Rock gets a match or two in before Cena at Mania too, I'd have him v Orton where it doesnt look like a complete mismatch. Orton needs the 'legend killer' gimmick back for this, also.

Even after last night, I just can't see Austin having another match. For some reason it's different than other old beat up wrestlers who come back after being away from the ring a while.

I feel like Miz' jealousy can start to pick up again over Rock and Cena being the big headlines again even after he retained in the main event at WM, thus leading to something like Rock vs. Miz for the WWE Title at Summer Slam with Cena as the referee.

After watching Austin bump on Tough Enough and Raw, plus the showdown with Miz/A-Ri and Austin I feel that there is some likely hood of The Miz vs Austin at Summerslam.

I also read a report on a Wrestlemania re-match with The Undertaker and Triple H, which could be great.

I'm hoping for Edge to be in a main match maybe against Christian if they don't do the match sooner.

Also I'd like to see Wade Barrett in a memorable match/feud... maybe with CM Punk as a babyface, if it's not time for a turn maybe Morrison.

To be honest Summerslam is so far away and always hard for me to predict, WWE doesn't seem to usually book Summerslam nearly as strong as Wrestlemania, and sometimes they give a great surprise like last years memorable main event. Perhaps Cena could shoot a film and take some time off so Orton can get some sun along with Ziggler, as those two need to have great matches starting yesterday.

Alberto Del Rio vs any big Raw star

-Christian eventually starts feuding with Edge over the WHC (providing he's still champ by then) and they feud through out May-July leading up to Summerslam where they face each other in a TLC or some other specialty match but hopefully Christian comes out the winner. Maybe throw Del Rio in the mix too if you want.

-If you don't include Del Rio in the Edge/Christian feud, you could always have him face off against someone like Kane/Big Show, a big win over one of them could boost him a bit (as if he needed it...). I'm almost tempted to even throw in Undertaker if he is well enough to fight.

-I think Triple H and The Miz will eventually have a feud at some point, and Summerslam could be a interesting place for the two of them to meet, possibly for the WWE Title...

-I wanna see a Rey Mysterio/Sin Cara match for fun, neither plays heel, just a match out of respect.

-Sheamus feuds with anyone over the U.S. Title if he remains champ by this point. They need to include that belt some more.

The road to Summerslam will take us through April, May and June. I feel WWE will skip July this year and head straight into August for the 'biggest event of the Summer'. And I'm not talking about the Captain America movie.

Hell in a cell match (may go on last)

HHH V Undertaler

WHC Championship

Christian (c) V Wade Barrett

Sin Cara V Rey Mysterio

Jericho(if he returns) V Sheamus

IC Title match:

Ziggler ( c ) V Morrison

Edge would be 'injured' and return later to feud with Christian. Pretty good card i'd say which means it wont happen. Maybe throw in a shitty tag team match to.

I see Edge turning heel and betraying Christian. This eventually sets up Edge v. Christian at Summerslam with Christian winning as a thank you for your service type deal. Then two PPVs later Christian drops the title to Barrett and goes back to midcard purgatory.

Probably never happen and just trying to suggest something different:

Jericho vs Miz (C) for WWE Title-even if Jericho is not full out face, this could work

Randy Orton vs Alberto Del Rio (C) for WHC-on different brands but would be fresh

Edge vs Christian-TLC

CM Punk vs HHH

Barrett vs Undertaker-since we will likely get HHH/Taker at WM 28

John Cena and Trish Stratus vs John Morrison & Melina-yea, this will never happen

Sin Cara (C) vs Dolph Ziggler vs Daniel Bryan for US Title

Rey Mysterio vs Sheamus

Kofi Kingston & Big Show vs The Corre (C) for the WWE Tag Team Titles
