WM 28 Scenario

Last night we witnessed Edge's retirement speech, which completely caught me off guard as I thought it wasn't coming until after Wrestlemania next year. This is a legitimate scenario in my eyes with him relinquishing the title on Smackdown this week. Maybe Christian will start getting built up properly again and he will win the World Title, not right now but at Summerslam or something then he holds the title til Wrestlemania where he issues a challenge to Edge to have one more match on the biggest stage of them all. Edge vs. Christian-World Heavyweight Championship WM 28. I could see it happening. He might even go in the Hall of Fame this year.

Edge can physically die if he wrestles again. One bad bump could have serious consequences. Then you have the fact that his finisher is completely unsafe for him. Yeah, I dunno man.

That'd be awesome, but I just think it's way too risky given the circumstances.

I hope Christian gets a nice legit main event push into the title scene and stays there. Saying that, it'd be a fun story if Christian is in the midst of a hard fought, 4-5 month WHC run, and Christian's WrestleMania opponent happens to be the head of a stable (Punk with Nexus or Barrett with Corre as current examples, but they more than likely won't have stables by the end of the month, let alone year).

This leads to Christian's biggest obstacle yet as Champion, and he obviously needs ringside backup to watch his back. That's where Edge comes in to return the favor for what Christian did for him at WM27.

Question... If Christian did get a shot at the title (I personally don't count his ecw title run bc that ecw was a joke), would that mean that Vince is finally done being down on Chrsitian like he's been since forever, which I think was stated in a forum thread on in a update a few years ago?
