View Full Version : What would make you mark out?
Rock Bottom

MAN. Heh I just started thinking how much ass it would kick if The Rock were to join Evolution. He would totally fit in with all four of those dudes, and he would add like mega firepower to their stable. It's too bad The Rock is only around long enough for 'Mania though. But MAN would that rock. He usually puts people over anyway.
If The Rock were to ever turn heel, I would hope to God that's what they did. Not that it matters much. But it could be some huge heat, if Evolution were to beat down some random top-face, and for Rock to run down seemingly for the save (huge pop) and then to join in on the beating (even huger heat). Then, on top of that, use his mic skills and cut a promo about why he did it.
MAN I wish Rock would come back. Even though this is all irrelevant, I found it interesting to think about. He could serve as the proper mouthpiece (no offense to Flair, but he's way past his prime) and it'd be refreshing I'm sure. Orton and Batista could use some help on the mic anyway. And it may start a fanbase in Evolution.
Seriously. (This one's for Loose Cannon) How much would you mark out, if Orton was giving someone the beat down, and Rock came in to "make the save," then started helping? Or, can you imagine the heat... Michaels vs. Benoit, Triple H is in, ref is down, Rock runs out, "scares" Trips out of the ring... WHAM, Rock Bottom on Benoit. Michaels wins, and not only does he turn, but all of them are in cahoots. And you have this mega stable. Huge shit. Triple H, Shawn Michaels, The Rock, Randy Orton, Batista, Ric Flair. I mean who could fuc</>k with them?
Then, when Evolution split up, you could have an asssssssssssss-load of good feuds come out of it. I mean look at the guys that would be in it.
Oh well. None of this shit will ever happen, but, I was just going into a markish little thought bubble. So if you feel like it, post your own markish thought bubble, something that would make you mark out.

Remember WM 18 when it was Rock vs Hogan and the Outsiders came out and attacked Hogan. Well when Rock came back, I thought for sure he was going to turn and join the NWO, which would of been fk'n awesome and a perfect set up. But it never happend.
But as for Evolution, I wouldn't want it to be a huge stable though. What they have now is fine. And HHH and Rock wouldn't be able to coexist in a character sense. If it were just Rock, Orton, Flair and Batitsta that would be cool though. Orton is going to turn reall soon anyway, so Evolution is almost finished.

I never answered your question.
So, what would make me mark out. Well obviously when/if Orton turns on Trips and Flair and starts a new Evolution.
*An ECW rebel faction forming.
*Bret Hart giving a farewell speach.

Tazz returning to wrestling.
Hell yeah. I would mark out like a teenager at a Britney Spears concert if that would happen. I've never given up hope that it will, but I might as well. Apparently, Tazz has no intentions whatsoever on returning to the ring and that sucks ecause I've always been a huge fan of his. That'd be f*ckin' awesome if after Eddie retains the title at Judgement Day, on Smackdown he's cuttin' a promo about he's the best and all, then suddenly Tazz takes off his headset, gets in the ring, gives Eddie a T-Bone Tazlex then puts him in the Tazmission and doesn't let go until 1,000 officials come out to break it up then he can cut a kick ass promo like the old school ones from his ECW days. Damn, I'm 'bout to mark out just thinking about it.

The WWE has a mysterious stalker follow Triple H around, messing with his head and what not, costing him matches, and generally making his life hell.
Then after months of teasing us with variou possible suspects, the stalker is .....STING!! **BAHGAWDBIZNESSISABOUTTOPICKUPBAHGAWD**
Then Sting gets one last 6 or 7 month run booked as a legit face where he beats Triple H on a PPV and gets one last match with Flair, and matches against HBK, Kane, and The Rock.
If that happened, I'd spring a leak.

Don't have much time right now but a hardcore match like Foley/Orton at Backlash would make me mark out more often. I marked out for that match, and LMS with HHH and Micheals at Royal Rumble. Off the top of my head, those type of matches will, they should do them more often.

I'd mark out if someone took someone out to start an injury angle, and it was extremely brutal and real looking. It'd coincide with a star actually taking time off.
Or we could always go for another ring collapse.
Or Bret Hart returning.
Or the Cruiserweight Division actually getting pushed.

I'll totally mark out for Triple H if they bring him back as follows.........
At an event near Haloween, whoever Raw GM at that time announces that there will be a fancy dress battle royal for the #1 Contendership. All competitors come to the ring in fancy dress costumes, ranging from superman, to spiderman, and kermit the frog etc theres also a guy in a Scream costume. He wrestles a really flat match not drawing attention to himself, but none the less he gets down to the last three when he flips the bird at Edge and stuns him and throws him over the top ala Stone Cold. He is now left with just Orton and the masked guy He hits a Lou Thesz press on Orton, then throws a few stomps and flips the bird and stuns him, as he is realing from the stunner Orton gets clotheslined over the top, as the masked guy who everyone now thinks is Austin celebrates on the turnbuckles with a couple of beers then pulls off the mask to reveal Triple H.
Although the difference in size between Triple H and Austin is instantly recognisable, In the Battle Royal type of match up you would hardly notice him untill the last four. And if the finish was really quick it would look fantastic.
I'd feel happy to be a Triple H fan again.

I think what makes The Rock so good is that he isn't full time. We only see him for a real short burst and it's entertaining as hell.

I got my heel Rock wish back when he came back as "Hollywood Rock", and did hilarious things such as "The Rock Concert". So no need for a redux of that.
Booker T winning the WWE Title would be great (if would even be more of a mark-out if he were allowed to win "his" title... the title he won 5 times and made sure to remind us he did)
if, as Undertaker was squashing some random wrestler, DDP came back in and Diamond Cut the Deadman as REAP* for that atrocity they called a PPV match.
if Sean O'Haire came back to WWE and joined with Mark Jindrak...to give Smackdown
another actual tag team besides the Dudleys and The Bashams.
I like that HHH idea up there. I'd mark out if I saw that.
Of course Bret Hart coming back on TV would be a given.
If WWE allowed head/neck bump moves again.
If WWE hadn't fired Scott Hall and repeated the mistake of WCW when nWo started to suck. I would have liked to see an Austin/Rock/HHH alliance take them down with a lot of references to WCW.
If The Rock and Juventud actually had a match. Sorta like that anti-climactic Goldberg/Gillberg match...
as mentioned before, if there were an ECW rebel faction with Heyman, not some McMahon-ified figurehead, at the helm. (Though, I'd admit I'd probably have marked
out about this more in 2001 than I would today...)
