"PWTorch has learned that Jay Lethal has parted ways with TNA. His profile has already been removed from TNA's website.

We currently do not have details on what led to Lethal's departure, which came as a surprise to some people in TNA. One TNA source who was present at this week's TV tapings was not aware Lethal was leaving the company.

Lethal worked Tuesday's Impact TV taping after wrestling in the Ultimate Xscape match at the Lockdown PPV on Sunday.

Lethal has rarely been featured on TV this year since dropping the X Division Title to Kazarian at the Genesis PPV in January."

What do you think is next for Lethal? Possible tryout with WWE?

Going where? He was a fucking joke. Hell, on the Darkmatch, we constantly used him as a closing segment. I truely hate TNA right now.

I never said he'd be happy, I said I am. Hopefully he comes to an indy event near me.

Lethal had some great matches with Kurt Angle. He also has a sweet name and a good move set.

The Macho Man thing was a mistake from jump street. You aren't going to get over using someone else's gimmick except as a piece of shit comedy mid-carder. You can't hit the main event that way. Jay Lethal was doing just fine being Jay Lethal before they turned him Macho King.

I wouldn't mind seeing him in the WWE and I think he could be a good addition to the roster and could have some good matches with a lot of their guys. But if he never reappears I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

TNA wrestlers get paid per appearance though and it's not like he was getting featured every week anyways. A WWE developmental deal probably would provide him more stability anyways.

He'll end up on NXT as Jayson Lothalameux or some other retarded name soon enough.

Classic TNA... secure the aged Team 3D (they can't even market their marketable name), and leave the young guns of the future behind.

Fortunately for him he'll make more in ROH and JAPW than with TNA. Bottom guys in TNA don't even make 18K a year.

Sort of surprised TNA would just let him go unless something bad happened backstage but then it has been a while since he's done anything big on tv.

Then again, TNA has a really bad problem with sudden push or momentum drops for their younger stars for no reason. WWE is just as bad but at least they realize there are certain times when new future stars are needed from their youth ranks.

He was boring without the impersonator gimmick, which had a limited shelf life anyway.

I'm sure I remember being some interest from the WWE in Lethal before he actually signed with TNA. So it wouldn't surprise me if now that he's proven what he can do if the WWE signed him.

Apparently there is a huge dip in morale in TNA because of this release. Generation Me actually seem really pissed off.

I could see WWE being hurt he signed with TNA instead that they don't sign him for a while or not even at all.

Hmm, I dunno. I think the WWE would be more upset that a guy left them for TNA and then decided to return, as opposed to a guy using it for his break and then going on to better things.

Bring him in, pair him with Creed and then when they get brought up to the main roster have Nash mould them in his own image. Sure the angle was done in TNA but it deserves to be on a show with viewers.

Seriously? He got way more play with the Black Machismo bit than he ever got as "that one X Division Guy."

Oh Jesus Christ....
If that sodomite McMahon wasn't so against pushing smaller wrestlers, blacks, and guys with a fair amount of talent I could see the WE doing this gimmick.

Any fed would benefit with Lethal on its roster. He's athletic, he's got charisma, and with some adequate training, will get better on the mic. Not to mention that he's still young, is a fan of the business, and has an innovative mind to get things done in the ring.

He also seems like a friendly guy - Met him here in Mumbai once, and between Kurt Angle, Mick Foley and him, he seemed most interested in meeting / talking / signing autographs.

That being said, i don't think he'll be picked up by WWE. I'd love them to, but gut instinct says no.
