He was always entertaining when put in actual programs (besides that electrocution thing). I was legitimately freaked out by him when they paired him with Luna and he got that crazy distorted remix to his theme song. I'd find a video of him reading Green Eggs and Ham, but you've probably seen it.

I really enjoyed his series of matches with Rick Rude over the US Title back in WCW.

Also, when he was trying to fuck Razor Ramon.

Remember when he kissed Ahmed Johnson? One of my favorite moments easily. Before he did it he said "he needs mouth to mouth" and his promo later about breathing into ahmed the breath of life classic.
I was in the 5th or 6th grade at the time but its always stuck in my head.

He had a feud with Taker that I was disappointed in as it didn't last as long as I'd have liked. Taker had one match where Goldust was on commentary he hammed it up big time just awesome.

On top of this Dustin is insanely charismatic he could be funny, creepy and was a really good wrestler drugs dragged him down its a real shame as the WWE couldve pushed him to the moon.

i swear i am the only one who liked his torrets gimmick from the electrocution. dustin can do comedy and he just nailed some of those segments thats one where hes with austin and the hot dog.

This clip is one of my favorites where Dustin reunites with his dad Dusty on WCW TV from 1994

I tend to remember a match with Dustin and Dusty vs. Ted DiBiase and Virgil where Dusty kept saying in a promo that blood was thicker than water.

there is a brilliance to classic goldust. it wasn't just about hitting on his opponents. everything he did was self-contradictory. his movements were so smooth and deliberate, despite having such a flashy bizarre appearance. his manner of speaking could be pouty and ridiculous, but it was always commanding. he always made you feel like he knew more than he was letting on. "*inhale* goooooolduuuuust *bite*" is iconic. everything he did created this weird attraction to see more, and you always knew that at any second, he could go from fucking with his opponent to whipping his ass.

the tourette's and submissive versions took that away, for me. i didn't see any brilliance, it was all "comedy spaz" and just stupid.

classic goldust and bad doink are the best bizarro characters ever in the wwe.

This sums up Goldust perfectly. And it also gives me a desire to see a classic goldust vs. evil doink match. Make it a hardcore match just to see what the hell they would use.

I became a wrestling fan in 1996 when Goldust was at his prime. My best friend at the time had been trying (unsuccessfully) for about 4 years to get me to watch it, and I always avoided it as best I could. Finally I was at his house one night and he flipped on the WWF. It was during Goldust's entrance (which, in my opinion, rivaled Undertaker for awesomeness at the time), and I just froze, watched him do all the weird shit he did when he entered, looked at my friend and went "WTF is that?" It was the first time I watched wrestling voluntarily. Goldust in his prime was just so bizarre that you couldn't help but watch him just to see what he would do.

I wish they wouldn't have changed his character so much. The electrocution thing was beyond stupid. Goldust works best as a heel where he can just do anything and everything to fuck with his opponents. I don't think the character ever had the potential to be the WWE Champion, but he was one of my favorite IC champions and one of the best solid midcard guys I have ever seen for solid entertainment.

Haha a Razor tattoo on his chest...that was awesome.

I wonder if Goldust still has that tattoo, or if it was fake :shifty:

I was watching him on WWE Vintage Collection today. He was sports entertaining Hunter Hearst Helmsley. He won by DQ after Chyna (Pre Boob Job) ran in and attacked him as he was pinning Hunter.

Have always been a bit of a Goldust mark, and was enjoying his little push before he got injured.

I wonder, do you think theres enough out there to make a Dustin Rhodes DVD? I figure they can show his early WCW run with the tag and six man titles, the first time he was Goldust, his late 90s WCW run, and his return to Goldust up till now

Huge fan of the Goldust character (1995-late 1996, but the stuff with Booker T was funny). His pre-debut vignettes were superb. These two below are my favourites. Excellent stuff.

The WWE-released Goldust autobiography is absolute crap by the way.
