The highly anticipated rematch between Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard at UFC 130 this month is off, as MMAFighting.com reports that both fighters have suffered injuries, canceling that card's main event.

With no time to find a suitable replacement, the light heavyweight bout between Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Matt Hamill has been moved up to the main event slot, while Frank Mir and Roy Nelson will take the co-main event slot with their heavyweight bout.

Per the report, Edgar has suffered broken ribs in training, while Maynard suffered a knee injury of his own. There's no timetable for a return for either competitor at this moment.

The card will still take place on May 28 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, and will air live on pay-per-view.

Melvin Guillard is probably shitting a brick at the thought of having to wait even longer to get "in the mix" for a title shot.

I'm not that down on it though. I believe Jackson and Hamill will be a good fight. Plus Roy Nelson usually bring it and I think Frank Mir might be a little bit more motivated after that shitty fight with Cro Cop.

Still, not worth the money for that card.

Seems like Main Events have been shifting due to injuries much more often the last 2 years than ever before.

Could at least move Pettis v Guida to this card or sthn to make up for it...

I will get it for Rampage Jackson alone..

I think Mir is gonna have alot of trouble with Nelson.. If Roy gets on top, cause of his gut, it's impossible to switch or buck him off..

Got Nelson winning via tko from strike on the ground..
