Managers/business acquaintances being suspended in tiny cages above the ring.

The last time I remember it happening was when Jerry Lawler was put in one in a match between Issac Yankem and Bret Hart on Raw. Lawler was afraid of heights and his nose began to bleed. WCW/NWA used to do it a lot too around the same era. Good times.

May as well get this out of the way now:

"Requisite Judy Bagwell-on-a-pole match joke."

Do you really miss this? Like on a scale of 1-10, how much do you miss this. Please be honest.

I'm no good with 1-10 things. I always over or undershoot it.

If there were a match between one of the Bellas and Eve and the other Bella was put in a tiny cage above the ring as to prevent twin magic, it would probably automatically be my favorite match of the year. So... whatever number coincides with that. 10 I guess.

Scaffold matches should be a Monday Night staple.

Paul Bearer was in a cage during Undertaker/Mankind at Survivor Series 1996..... I also remember Chyna being in a cage during HHH/Owen at Unfrogiven 1998 after Wrestlemania 14

So you're saying the act of putting a manager in a cage above the ring is "out" and "uncool". Is this correct?

Jim Cornette twice...once in the air at the 1988 Great American Bash, and on the ground at Capital Combat 1990. And Teddy Long at SuperBrawl I.

A one off match that fitted in with the feud would be a novelty, as long as it didnt lead to another gimmick ppv.

lol. A "manager/protege in a cage above the ring" themed PPV.

I miss the old, big blue fake looking cages they used in the old cage matches.

I miss it too, but apparently the blue cage actually hurt like hell when a wrestler went into it. The current cage is actually safer for the participants because there's a LOT more give to it.

I can imagine it now...Michael Cole or Vickie Guerrero locked in a cage, high above the ring. I would love to see their reactions, when that happens.
