I thought I'd start a thread for this. It's a simple enough idea. Post links to any games that are free to download legally.
<strike>Treasure Island Dizzy (Adventure) (http://www.codemasters.com/downloads/getdownload.php?downloadid=17409)</strike>
Teen Agent (Point and click. Requires signing up, as do the next 4 but all on the same site.) (http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/teenagent)
Lure Of The Temptress (Point and click) (http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/lure_of_the_temptress)
Beneath A Steel Sky (Point and click) (http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/beneath_a_steel_sky)
Dragonsphere (Point and click) (http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/dragonsphere)
Tyrian 2000 (Sci-fi shooter) (http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/tyrian_2000)
Add your own.

For the next 2 days, the original Fallout is free to download, legally. The site it's available from is Good Old Games.
Get it here (http://www.gog.com/gamecard/fallout).
Link if the above doesn't work (http://www.gog.com/en/catalogue/?price=free).
You might have some trouble because the sites busy due to Fallout. If you have an account, log in first. That way, if you can't get it to download, it might still make it's way into your catalouge, then you can DL it later.

Before I click the link, what game is it?
The address looks weird. Is it a legal download? That's the purpose of the thread.

I guess its possible to count Club Nintendo as a source for free* games since they started to give away a few downloadable games each month as rewards.
* free as long as you have any coins registered with Club Nintendo or buy Nintendo games to earn those coins. Then again I guess the same could be true with the "free" games offered with a Playstation Plus membership.

Was convinced you couldn't get it for free so I tried and I was once again right, keeping that 25 year streak going.
Please enter at least one penny (preferably a lot more to help cover our costs!)

For the love of god, if you have any inkling of love for the megaman games, play Megaman: Day in the Limelight.
It's a fan game where you play as the Megaman 1 bosses against the Megaman 2 bosses. The stages, while using mostly the same visuals, have been completely rearranged, and include creative gimmicks that utilize each character's powers. Also, some small but neat little tweaks to the boss fights. For example when you hit airman's tornados with firemans blast, they turn into fire tornados and come at you faster.
The Wily stages are the best part. You fight the same bosses, but they have been completely expanded upon, creating a totally new experience.
I finished the first game and loved it. I'm now on Day in the Limelight 2, where you play as the MM2 bosses against the MM3 characters, and this game is even better than the first.

Would post the trailer for it, but honestly, it ruins a lot of the awesome surprises in the game.

Footbrawl Quest is awesome. A dungeon crawler where you're a bunch of knights trying to make it to the endzone to save the kingdom and the undead trying to kill you/score their own touchdown. One of the best free games I've ever played.

I got pretty hooked on SongPop on Facebook. Had to stop cause it was way too much fun. Paid for pro wrestling, video games and tv theme songs set to fuck with people making me listen to current songs and country music.

Oh man, the original Shadow Warrior is free on steam. Still love that game. Wish they would've added in online play tho.
Here is a link (http://store.steampowered.com/app/238070) to it.
Would it be possible to get this thread pinned to the front page of the VG forum? It seems like a good enough thread for it. Free and legal games all in one place.

I can't seem to DL it because I'm using an outdated browser. I don't want to change my browser incase the next one I get is rubbish.
