Like this a lot after one listen. Seems very pleasant over all...way less melancholy than For Emma.

Favorites so far are Perth, Calgary and Towers.

Check out Perth at the end of this post: http://www.fromgotowhoa.com/bon-ivers-birth-of-lp2-interview-and-track/

A few tracks have a sort of Explosions in the Sky vibe that I am digging a lot.

huge fan of perth and minnesota, wi. hinnom, tx reminds me of spoon's the ghost of you lingers. took me a few listens, but i'm sold on the 80s ballad feel of beth/rest. really like this album. can easily put it on par with the last one already.

I like the album and it doesn't make me want to slit my wrists like the last one so it gets extra bonus points.

9.5 is a little much

This is pretty good. More in the 8.0-8.4 range.

Another douchebag indie band. Same old shit.

Pretty sure anything that wouldn't be playing at a gay Turkish discotech falls under that category for Gertner, unfortunately

They used the versus playoff hockey riff at the beginning of the second song

So I ended up listening to a couple songs by Bon Iver at my friends house. I honestly think these douchey indie bands become popular because people want to be cool, because that was fucking awful. It sounded like I sound when I'm trying to imitate a chicks voice.

Never heard of them so I checked it out. Wasn't sure at first, but after watching some live videos of this guy I am sold.

Skinny Love is probably one of the best songs I've heard in the past 6 months.

Yeah sorry, told it to post in HD and it apparently decided to be mad huge. Just thought it would default to that quality, not actually be mad huge.

Love pretty much anything from that show. Thought of Bon Iver randomly today even though I haven't listened to them much recently, and I've had a bunch of videos from A Take Away Show on repeat for the last hour.

Gave this album a rest for a while and just started listening to it again, and I'm starting to see what the hype was about. It's really really effing good. Every song is amazing.

Maybe it's because it's raining in Portland and I started "smoking weed" again. Amazing.
