I'm 5 minutes into Raw right now and R-Truth is just great right now. It's part his booking and part him on the mic but I'm officially throwing my hat in on him as wrestling's best heel right now. He's refreshing and not paint-by numbers. I'm loving it.

Oh yeah. CM Punk is also good. Except he's booked like shit and thus it's tough to enjoy him as much.

Pretty sure this is going to become "Name a heel that hasn't been mentioned yet". That said, it's pretty obvious that it's CM at this point.
Plenty of people to mention though, as the Miz continues to shock us all, and Del Rio has been solid.

It's The Miz cuz unlike CM Punk he can win PPV matches I'm just saying.

I like my heels to seem threatening. He's just been kinda "there". But that's how Raw has been. Outside a few top guys, there's not a lot of effort put into guys. Over the past couple weeks, it's kinda started to change a little.. but still.
Character-wise he's stopped being interesting to me. Even if he does play the role well, the role is nothing special at the moment.

He doesn't need to be at the top to be a threat. He's good enough where he can let someone else have a chance, and still be able to believably challenge for the title at any time.
In that way, I really feel like he has filled in the spot Jericho left. Very few people could do that.
Haven't watched TNA in maybe 3 months and WWE outside of a few segments and matches in about a month/6 weeks but it was Jeff Jarrett and Miz for me as of then. Punk's good, Del Rio's good, Cody's good, Bubba Ray Dudley was the most interesting he's ever been/possibly cutting the best promos in wrestling as of then, not really sure as of 'right now'. Let's get Denim Dave and his vest/rosary bead combos back on TV already.

I didn't say he needed to be at the top to be a threat.
He's just kinda drifted aimlessly for a while now. He can be a midcarder and be a threat. He just... isn't.
I think you're mistaking 'not winning many matches' for 'not being booked well'. Punk's pretty much consistently been involved with 'important' guys/had a very cosy spot for a while now.

CM Punk seems to getting rebuilt pretty fast...and I also think he just "gets it" as a heel. He can stand there and talk about factual things, but still make himself seem sleazy and dislikeable. I love The Miz, but I almost feel he is "cool heel." But that's just to me. I am honestly interested in seeing him as a babyface down the line. Not right now, but I think he could put butts in seats against, hypothetically, a heel John Cena.
Alberto Del Rio is awesome, and I like the way he is a heel with balls and brains. But I feel that while they want him on RAW, because they want big things from him (and they'll give it to him), his character there isn't as natural or as deep.
Wade Barrett has been lost on SmackDown!, but he is brilliant playing the character he plays. He believes everything he is doing is right, has a purpose and is, in its own way, honourable. But unlike The Miz, I don't really want to see him as a face just yet. There will be a time for Barrett to kick ass on his own, but I like his "strength in numbers" attitude. And that just lends itself to heel status.
Cody Rhodes is tearing shit up on SmackDown!. He's another guy that I want to see run as a top babyface down the line, without shedding his current persona. He's demented, but he's also more focused than he was playing the self-obsessed "Dashing" character. Rhodes gets so much right, and there are layers to him that could become sympathetic if turned to reflect different light. Almost like Goldust, ignoring the obvious link between the two.
But R-Truth is just amazing right now. His character holds my attention. His whole conspiracy thing, targeting the love for John Cena and how "the system" works for him. It's intriguing. Really looking forward to his summer feud with John Morrison.
If/when Christian turns, I hope they allow him to play a character he's never played before. There were signs of it last year, when he had that "non-program" with Matt Hardy around Money in the Bank time. He was sick and tired of waiting for a shot, and was positioning himself in a "now or never" kind of way. It fizzled, but when Christian turns heel, I think it could be a lot like CM Punk's heel turn against Jeff Hardy. Let Christian show a darker, more hateful side. We've never really seen a serious heel Christian. There's always been a bit of a comedy, "annoying little brother" shtick to him. As a heel this time around, I think he should be more sinister and obsessed with being the World Heavyweight Champion.

I do get what wwf is saying, to a degree. Punk's been in top programs, but he hasn't had that "oomph." He hasn't been nearly as on fire as he had during other programs in his career. But it's just the down time that everyone takes (except for John Cena). RAW's main event program recently has been John Cena vs. The Miz. Now R-Truth is stepping up. It just hasn't had room for Punk. But the WWE are rebuilding the Nexus to be a force -- give it time, wwf.

Wish they would instead give up on Nexus entirely. I was so sad when they returned after Mania.

R-Truth is brilliant, creative, and hilarious. I love how WWE has given him a large chunk of time on each Raw over the past months, it's just been awesome.
Actually The Miz, Alberto Del Rio, and R-Truth all three are carving characters that are not comparable to anyone in history right now, we are coming into a new era ladies and gents.

Yes. There's no real room for CM Punk right now.
Yet over on Smackdown, even Chavo Guerrero is involved in a good, time consuming storyline. Raw's writers can't handle more than the main event picture. The laziness is insane. It seems like they've been trying over the last couple weeks though finally so it could change.

He's not JBL, he doesn't play on Wall Street, JBL doesn't speak spanish, they both drove into the arena and they both wear suits and have money.
Alberto is a fucking real Mexican with hot chili peppers in his blood, that is nothing like lazy fat JBL who wears a cowboy hat. Alberto Del Rio has his own ring announcer, and he's a fucking luchadore.

That's like saying A-Ry is like Triple H cause he was a bodygaurd and wears suits.

I agree that the writers on RAW can juggle fewer balls. To be honest, that is probably the orders from above, too. When you are on RAW, you are someone the WWE wants to do something with NOW. No one gets built there, really. SmackDown! is like televised developmental in a way (with a few big stars there to dominate because the WWE has too many main eventers, and to keep egos from clashing).
Chavo Guerrero is being used in his program with Sin Cara because he is familiar with the way in which Cara works, and the idea of a Guerrero vs. Mistico probably makes Mexican audiences wet.
CM Punk is on RAW because the WWE feels like that they can throw him against anyone and he'll get people into the program. The guy is always leading a stable because they want him to get guys like Michael McGillicutty, Mason Ryan & David Otunga over. I wish he were on SmackDown! feuding with Christian over how years and years of falls off ladders have left Christian held together only by painkillers in a Feud of the Year candidate, too, but Punk is valued.

CM Punk.
Even if he is booked in a shitty way, I still buy everything he says/does.

Right now, because it's new, It's R-Truth.
The problem has and always will be, once a heel gets 'that good' smarks start cheering them and the eventual feud with Cena is tarnished, because the smarks cheer the heel.
Truth is a fresh new heel attacking fans, that's bound to get him decent heat against a pro fan fav in Cena.
Not knocking it, as Truth has been given the ball and is exceeding everyone's expectations. But that means, for most of us, now, when we see him at a show, we won't boo him, we'll cheer him as he's doing well. It's very tough to be a heel that's universally boo'd without the X-Pac heat.
Punk does well with it, as in moments when he was in Chicago recently, he'll pander to the fans to get them on side, then do a mini re-turn to get the heat back, Punk is very good at doing this, as for Punk being booked like shit? He's keeping himself over whilst jobbing, that is one of the hardest things in wrestling to do and he's been doing it for about 2 years now. He's a real asset to the roster and a booking teams dream IMO.
Miz is doing well as a chicken shit heel, I can't see what more he can do right now though, seems to have peaked as a heel and a face turn is logical as he's getting face reactions sometimes.
But the best heel, still, for my money is Vickie, universally hated and not with 'get off my tv' heat. She's been doing this for what? 5 years now? And still gets more heat than any of the other heels on the roster and right now it's with little reason, just based on previous actions.
Fair play to her, don't think anyone could see any longevity in her as a heel character.

Miz will be a horrible babyface because he's a pussy. He's not tough and he wears cock sucker suits. He should be a career heel, a little bitch pussy who will always find a cheap ass way to get the win, but can't really kick anyones ass because he's such a pussy bitch.

If you look closely in some of his matches you can actually see the Miz's purple pussy through his tights.
Bully Ray. Example of his work -
Bully - "So here we are Val, beauty & the beast eh...."
So Cal Val - "Why thank you!"
Bully - "wtf you on about? Yr the beast"
