Christian defeated Mark Henry.

Christian asked Teddy Long to add him to the title match between Sheamus and Randy Orton. Long named him special referee.

Alicia Fox and Tamina defeated A.J. and Kaitlyn. A short match.

Cody Rhodes comes out and delivers a heel promo on Daniel Bryan.

Jinder Mahal defeated Yoshi Tatsu in a squash match.

Ezekiel Jackson defeated Wade Barrett by countout in an Intercontinental title match (title doesn't change hands). Jackson fights off Slater and Gabriel afterwards.

Obama promo. Pretty funny one.

Sheamus tried to suck up to Christian by saying they should have a triple threat. Christian said he knew he was lying and told him to focus on Randy Orton.

Daniel Bryan defeated Ted Dibiase. Good match. Cody Rhodes comes out with more paper bags. He cut a promo earlier whining about losing to Bryan last week. Bryan wins by submission. Rhodes and DiBiase beat down Bryan. Sin Cara comes out for the save and hits moves on both. Funny moment mid-match as Sin Cara's entrance "steam" got played for a second. Someone hit the switch waaaay too early. I bet that is edited out.

Randy Orton defeats Sheamus for WWE World title with Christian as special referee. Sheamus bumps Christian. Christian starts favoring his arm. Sheamus has Orton pinned, Christian counts two, then stops and favors his arm again. Orton hits RKO for the win.

Also, it doesn't say it in these spoilers, but I read that Christian laid out Orton with the belt after the match.

Here's a second report

* Christian defeated Mark Henry. After the match, Christian requested to Teddy Long that he be added to the World Heavyweight Title match tonight between Randy Orton and Sheamus. Teddy made Christian the special referee.

* Alicia Fox and Tamina beat Kaitlyn and AJ Lee in a rematch.

* Cody Rhodes came out and talked about wanting to hurt Daniel Bryan.

* Jinder Mahal squashed Yoshi Tatsu. The Great Khali attacked Tatsu after the match.

* Another WWE Capitol Punishment promo with Obama.

* Ezekiel Jackson beats WWE IC Champion Wade Barrett by count out so he doesn't win the belt. Jackson fights Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel after the match while Barrett walked off.

* Segment with Sheamus and Christian. Sheamus is playing nice. Christian isn't falling for it and tells Sheamus he needs to focus on Randy Orton.

* Daniel Bryan beat Ted DiBiase with the LaBell Lock. Cody Rhodes came out with paper bags and teamed with DiBiase to beat Bryan down after the match. Sin Cara came out and cleared the ring for the save. Cara's entrance was botched as they hit the special effects and his music too early.

* Randy Orton beat Sheamus with the World Title on the line and Christian as special referee. Sheamus knocked Christian down early. At one point Sheamus had Orton pinned but Christian went to selling his arm from Sheamus hitting him. Orton hits a nice RKO on Sheamus for the win. After the match, Christian lays out Orton with the World Title belt to end the show.

Love that Orton/Christian is THE feud in the company right now and they're really pushing it as such. Cena's not gonna have a major feud for a while and so it seems very likely that Orton and Christian will be main eventing at least a couple PPVs, possibly even Summerslam. And they totally deserve it too.

They have great chemistry in their matches, I can easily watch a 6 month program with these guys.

I think there's a good chance Cena gets the main event spot anyway because he's Cena. Any title match he's in is probably gonna be looked at as the money match. Especially at SummerSlam.

I am wondering how they would keep the feud fresh though. After Orton has gotten 2 straight-up wins over him, it kinda seems weird to go two more PPV matches for Orton to just go over again.

I'm thinking Sheamus gets thrown in for a triple threat at Capitol Punishment to keep things fresh since he didn't get his fair shot at the title. Then the SummerSlam match would have to be a ladder match. Christian's specialty to make it seem like he's got an upper hand for once.

There's that heel turn.

Yeah, if it's not (and there's no reason to believe it wasn't) just an off-camera, for the fans thing, which would be pretty stupid, because usually they just do some kind of dark M.E.

I heard that Christian was trying to give the belt back to Orton and he head butted the belt. Christian would never do such a thing. Looks like another total crap show though.

Hmmm...possible set-up for an IC title rematch at Capitol Punishment with a "If Barrett loses by DQ or count-out he loses the belt to Jackson" stip.?

Sure would be a hell of a lot more interesting (given the state of this little feud) than some crap, "no-DQ, no count-outs" BS, like falls count anywhere or last man standing.

I really hope so. I really disliked it when they made Edge open majority of the shows from the starting of this year when he was the World Heavyweight Champion.

dunno why you waste your time trolling the wrestling forum.

just finished watching Smackdown here; I enjoyed the show a lot. Sheamus/Orton was a lot better than I expected, real entertaining. And then WHAM, Christian with the title across Orton's head, sold real well. "I know I can beat you, Orton" was a nice touch.

also noticed that all the larger girls seem to be on Smackdown. either due to a little bit extra body fat, or being shithotly toned and well built like kaitlyn.

Watching it now. Loved the start video, god this feud should go on for months since Sheamus and someone else (possibly Mark Henry I GUESS, but I'd prefer Wade) can break up their matches. Christian is "all smiles" coming out.

Might just watch Smackdown exclusively like I did when Heyman booked that ish. Well, I was thinking that until Michael Cole spoke :(

Christian made Henry look like a champ before smashing down the killswitch. Might not actually mind if he's in there with Christian and the Orton we've seen so far this year.

Cody's promo was awesome. Talking about hurting Bryan so he's in the crowd, watching him capture the WHC.

Mahal was alright in the ring, but can't really tell from that. Nice Full Nelson Slam to finish the match though.

God I love Barrett with gold around his waist :'( They could have quite easily made Zeke squash Barrett until The Corre came out, but Barrett had a great deal of offense. Alright match, this and the Corre membership actually made me care about Zeke. Hate the bodyslam combo though.

Sheamus: "I'll tell ya something fella, if you try any schenanignas"
Christian: "Let me cut you off right there Snaggletooth. You're threatening me fella?" Brilliant.

Bryan desperatley needs new music still. As does Ted. Great match though, love the counter into the LaBelle lock.

And now the highlight of any WWE show: R-Truth recap.

Wait, Johnny Curtis segment that wasn't on the spoilers.

"Hi, I'm Johnny Curtis and R-Truth was my protégée on NXT. I actually won that which meant I got a tag title shot with my mentor, *laughing* but that just isn't going to happen. Well, there's only one thing for it"

He the starts crying and pouring milk in a platter which he then drops and pours milk on himself. Crying over spilt milk :wtf:

I don't think Sheamus and Orton really have much chemistry, It's their best match together, but not great still.

He properly lays Orton out with the title, then rolls him over, hits his chest for the peeps like he used to, then stands on Ortons chest and raises the title while saying "I can beat you". It was beautiful. He then leaves with the title while Orton is out in the ring.

Very nice show. Was a little surprised with the turn. Should make for a very interesting dynamic as he screwed Sheamus (a heel) and then laid out Orton (the only ME face on SD). I'd guess his reasoning for screwing Sheamus would be that if Sheamus won the belt, Orton gets a rematch and that leaves him (Christian) on the outs.

Can't wait for Christian's promo next week.

Loved the Cody / Bryan stuff and all the Christian segments. Don't know why they stopped him smirking after the "turn" though, the smirk is more heelish than the pokerface.

They could just be testing the waters, see what the reaction/response to it is like. It only takes Orton claiming he understands why he did it or something and Christian acting like a face at the next taping and he's full-on blue-eye again.

According to live reports the crowd popped for Christian knocking out Orton and stealing the belt but on the actual show he gets muchos heat dubbed in. I expect he will tweener for a bit then completely turn at the PPV when he takes the belt home via dickery.

Could go the HBK route, when he was obsessed with getting a match with Take.

Christian did it because he wanted another shot at Orton, and not just another shot, but to take the belt back too.

Don't know why they insist on gradually breaking up the Corre when it's the New Nexus that is staler than ever CM Punk can't even help them unless there planning to substitute the members with the likes of Clay for Jackson, Kaitlyn for Slater, and Curtis for Gabriel then that's fine by me.

This is what I'm thinking. I didn't read the spoilers for the show, and the whole thing seemed so perfectly built towards a heel turn...but it just didn't "happen" at the end of the show. Christian had such valid points with Theodore Long, seemed like a nice guy the whole way through, and then lays out Orton...a man who has claimed he would RKO his own grandmother for a title opportunity.

Structurally, everything was perfect -- but it just didn't play as well as, say, CM Punk's heel turn against Jeff Hardy. Christian and Orton both did everything right, but I see no reason to not be behind Christian right now. To me -- the real heel turn is still coming.

Capitol Punishment: Sheamus and Christian are both challenging for the World Heavyweight Title (since they've both been screwed, and the match has also been alluded to). There, Christian wins the title when he uses a foreign object to knock out Orton after he's taken out Sheamus, or something. Christian is the World Heavyweight Champion again, and Orton is all "you know you can't beat me cleanly" and Christian is all "I'm not giving you a title shot, Randy!" Something like that, anyway.

Also, it doesn't surprise me to hear that the fans popped for Christian laying out Orton. Something about the moment just seemed "vacuumed." I could see some people popping, and then heard all this piped in heat, which didn't seem to fit the moment.

Jinder Mahal's finisher looks too close to Ted Jr's finisher.

I like a Sin Cara/Cody Rhodes/Ted Dibiase program. They work good with him and if there's any problems with any moves they know how to adapt.

Didn't read the spoilers before watching the show online, but was pulling hard for the belt shot at the end of the main event. When it happened, though, it just kind of seemed...meh. Almost like they waited a few seconds too long, but maybe that's just the video editing. These Orton/Christian/Sheamus main events have been great by TV standards, though.

Liking the Bryan/Rhodes stuff, and can get behind a likely Rhodes/DiBiase vs Bryan/Sin Cara match at Capitol Punishment. At least it gives DiBiase something to do, and if they want to keep him with Rhodes for awhile, have him be the guy who's funding the paper bags "at great expense." No idea how many boos they're piping into Rhodes' entrance, but the heat adds a lot to an already awesome entrance.

It was nice to see Jinder Mahal in the ring. Dude just has the look of a star. Love the Hindi-styled "Jinder Mahal" Titantron graphic, and the music is pretty good, even if they're going for cheap heat with the wail at the start.
