Okay, so I stole this idea from another board, but what the hell... You've probably seen the WrestleCrap site, so I figured why not a thread? Let's talk about the very worst in Sports Entertainment - angles, gimmicks, crappy ppvs, bad matches, whatever. (I hope this hasn't been done.)

What "WrestleCrap" moments do you remember the most? Here are a few of mine.

Worst gimmick- Gobbedly Gooker/ Giant Gonzalas

Worst Angle- Katie Vick

Worst PPV- Backlash 01

Worst match- Big Show vs Boss Man (Armeggedean 99)

Ferocious

Worst Angle- Katie Vick/Big shows father dying

Big Shows dad dying produced some of the funniest lines EVER in wrestling!

Bossman: You hear that Show!? You're a nasty bastard and you're momma just said so!

^what's so funny about that?I don't it find it that funny really, just childish, i bet you someone like the rock could've come up with something 10,000 times better.
I would say the worst angle in recent history was the katie vick one, that made me sick to my stomach i know it's fake but still the image being presented to the kids that watch it(and remember they think it's real) that was just disgusting even if it was acting.
The worst PPV i would have to say is backlash 01 especially considering the previous backlash before that was my favourite ppv ever i was really looking forward to this one, but it failed horribly.
Worst match? Hmm there's so many it's hard to choose from,i can't remember the taker austin match myself, i don't think i saw it. the angle vs benoit submission match at backlash 01 was so boring i was struggling to stay awake.

There's so many bad angles... Katie Vick is the obvious choice because it was so recent. Don't forget the Big Show's dad dying, Huylk Hogan's Mean Gene Okerlun training sessions, Val Venis being castrated by Kaientai, Earthquake sitting on Damien, Mae Young giving birth to a hand... It's ahrd to choose the worst.

There's no doubt in my mind that the Shockmaster is the worst gimmick of all time. Even if he didn't trip on the way out to the ring, he would still be the worst.

Worst pay-per-view? No Mercy 2003 was the first pay-perview in my life that I stopped watching before the main event. Worst pay-per-view ever. As far as endings go, Summerslam 2003 was pretty f*cking bad.

Worst match? Nothing is worse than WCW's Doomsday Cage Match, a two-on-EIGHT match with Hogan and Savage vs. every major heel in the company, complete with Hogan/Savage no-sells. Or the match where David Arquette wins the world title, because of the sheer ending alone.

I watched the PPV when Kane and HHH wrestled each other, and there was no mention of necrophelia

WTF was so bad about Backlash 01? I know it wasn't a classic but it was better than some of the PPV's in 2002 between WM18 and Summerslam.

And I'm surprised that nobody has brought up the Billy & Chuck wedding as one of the worst angles ever. Seriously, the only part of that whole thing that I actually liked was when Bischoff took the minister's place wearing that fake face.

That's because it got such a negative reaction (including I beleive England and Australian networks threatening to pull programming over it) that they sort of dropped it. Kane won a casket match on Raw, then lost at the PPV, and went quietly back to the midcard.

Hell yeah! I like how he just stops talking as the Minister and starts using his real voice he's like "Wait a minute. Did I just hear myself say....3 minutes?" and while he's saying that he's still wearing the old guy mask then he rips it off and Steph's all shocked. I just happened to tape that edition of Smackdown and I watched that part quite a bit and marked out every time. Classic moment. :y:

Worst gimmick- Never liked 'The Narcissist' Lex Luger. I was like 12 years old at the time, how the hell am I supposed to know what a narcissist is???! Gobbeldy Gooker was just stooooopid

Worst Angle- That whole Mae Young thing was awful. The Katie Vick thing sounds shocking

Worst PPV- I found the no mercy when Kane vs HHH and Taker vs Brock (i think) was pretty crap. But overall, i'd hafta say survivor series 1995 or 1996 (I think). from 1993 to 1996 i loved wrestling. but i remember watching that PPV and thinking, this is so boring. and didnt watch wrestling again for another 6-8 years

Worst match- Mark Henry vs Viscera - what a pile of crap that was

most of the WCW angles that involved celebrities ( Jay Leno, David Arquete, Carl Malone) were pretty irritating.

Yes it is. At the time, Sid and Harlem Heat were going to face off against Sting, British Bulldog, and a "mystery partner." They're face to face cutting a promo and Sting says : Our paartner will shock the world, he's called The Shockmaster.

And this guy is supposed to bust through the walls for a big entrance, but he falls over, loses his helmet, recovers, then starts 'talking' through that crazy Black Scorpion voice box. You can actually see the other guys trying to not laugh.

This is pretty bad too:

http://www.x-entertainment.com/pics/shock4.jpg

Seeing Arn Anderson quiver and crawl at the feet of some extra in a RoboCop costume was prety disheartening.

The worst angle in recent history has to be the Al Wilson stuff. Not just because it was bad, but because the writers dragged it out for ****ing forever. Taz and Cole are laughing at how stupid it was but week after week and PPV after PPV we got to see the life and times of Al Wilson.

Worst Gimmick: T.L. Hopper. WHy am I supposed to hate a guy who is an evil plummer? Is it because the top of his ass crack is showing?

Worst Angle: Jake "the Snake" 'evilizing' Ultimate Warrior. While I am a Jake fan, and it led to some great matches with Randy Savage, let's face it, this was just pathetic...

Worst PPV: the Halloween Havoc that featured the Chamber of Horrors match and Count Fagula (aka Eric Bischoff dressed as a vampire). I can't remember if the WCW Phantom debuted in this one, but that would have been the only bright spot.

Worst Match: Sting vs. Johnny B Badd from one of the Fall Brawls (before it became a PPV, it was still a Clash of the Champions). The match was going along good, then the box came out, and EVERYTHING STOPPED. Teddy Long looked pissed, Badd was surprised, and Sting stopped selling a left hook to the ribs. The match then immediately goes to a suck ending (Sting countering a collar and elbow into a small package for the win). The only thing that gave this match ANY redeeming value is who exploded out of the box: Cactus Jack, who beat down Sting, and I think he did a Somersault Senton to the floor, tabling Sting.

Let's not forget Al Wilson. An old man marries a smoking hot woman, and all to sleep with the guy's daughter. Then, the woman kills the guy on their honeymoon! How??? Well, as the writers of WrestleCrap say, "By sexing him to death." (Oh, but not before they get married in the nude.) Didn't I see this on Days of our Lives?

Yeah, great stuff :nono:

Al Wilson angle was tasteless. I wonder what Torrie's real dad thought about that? But the absolute worst was the Katie Vick story.
