View Full Version : Would you make Mick Foley the Raw GM?

Since Mick Foley seems to be done with TNA, would you put him in the role as Raw GM?
He has the experience and the multiple personalities to fit the role well, and his future skits with Jericho, Rock could be priceless, like a true flashback.
Would you enjoy this?

I would only like a modern day promo between him and E&C. There would be other moments that I'd enjoy but on the whole I don't think I'd like it that much.

Meh, I wouldnt go so far as to say it would be shit, but I have never really been a huge Mick Foley fan. He would be better than the anonymous GM though.

Considering what all they've done with the anonymous RAW GM, I think Foley is there best bet to bring that storyline to a solid and sensible conclusion. Hey may or may not be a great fit, but I do think he's the best they can hope to do.

Didn't really think he was that great as the Commish to be honest, and his authority figure roles in TNA have been sub-par. Whether that's down to TNA themselves having storyline ADHD or Mick just not giving a shit anymore is up in the air. Use him in the occasional segment sure but he doesn't need to be in a prominant screen time eating authority figure role in 2011.

What wasn't great about him as commish?? Each to their own, i guess.

I wish this old cunt of a man would fuck off, so I would never have to see his fat, over rated ass on my T.V.
I'm embarrassed to be in the province next to you.

I enjoy Mick Foley, but I'd like to see him come in for another role. He's played the authority figure before. Yeah, it would make sense -- but I just don't see the need for it. I'd like to see him come in and do something with The Miz, actually.
Give the man a weekly talk show segment to help build feuds, and let him work his magic.

Good idea, VSG. Then Zack Ryder can get competitive and try to give Foley's show a run for its money. Do an Edge & Christian type thing with Ryder & Hawkins/Foley.

This. We need to move on and not re-hash stuff, Mick Foley could come back to WWE and be a manager of some kind and maybe have a career ending match, that would be nice.

Simple case of overexposure, he had some great segments but he also had some pretty awful ones and they took up a good 1/4 of the show. I love Foley but don't think he really shines as an authority figure, it doesn't suit his personality.

Oh please just fuck off. I suppose you're in a minority then given how popular he became during that time.

Yes, how dare I not like everything you like TL. How outrageous of me.
What I would like to see is Foley come back and help "make" some of the newer stars in the WWE; namely: The Miz. He's got a track record of taking guys who are right-there on the edge of true superstar status and pushing them over the edge: Rock, Triple H, Orton, Edge.
I think a feud and a Street Fight between Miz and Foley that sees Foley take a beating like only he can do, ending with a Skull Crushing Finale into a facefull of thumbtacks would be awesome (pun).
A heel-Christian vs Foley feud could also be amazing.

if you had a decent reason, then fine. but your post shows that you don't, hence my reaction towards you. its just typical bitching as far as i'm concerned.
what he gave his opinion/reason. I don't agree with it but there are far 'worse' things posted in this forum to get pissy about.

Whatever you say, CSL.
you were quite the fan of Foley's commissioner run huh?
Wouldn't mind Foley as the anonymous GM. Can buy in to that.

As i said, whatever you say, CSL. I'm abit bored with you tbh.
Trying to insult something i enjoyed. How typical.
What, who is trying to insult anything here? I liked Foley's run. You just don't need to get so ass-hurt and sensitive when somebody else feels differently. So many precious feelings on these boards as of late.

Well i'm abit drunk but just can't see what was shit about foleys run as commish. That is all.

Hey kids! Remember when everyone said this about CM Punk?!?
That could work, actually. He did kind of get the Orton ball rolling... some "support from on high" for ZR has the potential for a decent angle. It would net him some additonal tv time besides signs and random "hey, Cena just walked by him" shots.

I don't think it would work for this reason...
Teddy Long is the babyface GM on SmackDown, so the RAW GM has to be a heel. It balances things out.

He should be gm but only if it's Dude Love
I wouldn't be against him returning to the ring in short bursts to put people over, hes really good at making others look like stars (ie Randy Orton @ Backlash)
