- Halo 1 campaign and multiplayer remade in HD.
- Elements of Halo Reach returns, like assassinations.
- Weapons seem to have returned to their classic attributes (Needler is shit again lol).
- Can toggle between updated visuals and old graphics.
- Competitive multiplayer packed in a second disc: Includes Six remade Halo 1 maps, one Halo 2 map, and Firefight maps(!?). Runs off the Halo Reach engine (armor abilities and all).
- Drops this November.

I don't know, seems like something you guys would yell at me about. That makes me sad. :(

How about you make the Halo 4 thread?

Hopefully they jazz up The Library a bit.

It's possible that owners of Reach and Anniversary may be able to play each other - if Bungie allows Anniversary maps as DLC for Reach. I doubt it, I just found it interesting that they'd go with the Reach engine (probably saved a lot of dev time).

The hell? We couldn't contain the the Halo problem to one thread?

No this works. Halo 4 won't be fully revealed for a while. No point having a misnomer, and the Halo 4 thread will be there whenever they feel like spilling more beans.

Not too crazy about the SFxTK thread still having TKxSF in the title, and we heard nothing for a while.

Armor Abilities won't be in single player. It's the same as Halo 1, no worries.

Microsoft finally confirms all the rumors of the Anniversary game using Kinect and it turns out it won't do anything really special for the game.

As of now, it is going to have Kinect abilities just for the sake of Microsoft promoting the game being compatible with Kinect.

“It’s no surprise we’re exploring ways Kinect can enhance game experiences in authentic and meaningful ways," said the company. "The Kinect features we’re exploring with Halo: Anniversary are additive and will not affect the core gameplay experience or alter our mission of delivering a faithful recreation of the original game. That said we have nothing else to share just yet.”

Some new details from PAX for the Anniversary game include 3Dtv comparability, Halo Reach is the basis for the game's multiplayer structure, and some new additions to Firefight mode was revealed.

Some revisted Halo Anniversary maps have just been revealed, including Timberland (formerly PC only,) as well as Prisoner's update counterpart called Solitary.

There's also Installation 04, the one Firefight map in the game which is fully playable. It's inspired by the second level from the first game. Something new for this map is that NPC ally characters, the ODSTs, join Firefight against enemies.

Another new feature is for those of you with 3D TVs. Now you can play the single-player campaign in 3D, however it only works for the new graphics mode. Swapping back to classic sends you automatically back to 2D.

343 Industries finally revealed what the Kinect controls do and it turns out its nothing more than voice commands for lobbing grenades and analyzing things similar to Metroid Prime.

During the panel, reps from 343 Industries told the crowd that while playing Anniversary mode, players will be able to use the Kinect to analyze enemies by using the voice commands. Once an enemy is analyzed, it will be added to a database known simply as "The Library." Voice commands can also be used to chuck grenades and reload weapons.

It should also be said that Analyze mode will not work without the Kinect, so if you were hoping to use it with a controller or headset, I'm sorry to tell you that it just isn't possible.

It appears the Kinect controls and modes are not actually on the disc but as sort of a "DLC"/patch thing due to a mandatory update is required to download the stuff from Xbox Live.

The official reason was due to "quality" control issues and 343 Studios saying they couldn't test the controls until the update was ready and not wanting to rush the testing or delay the game.
