* New TNA World Champion Mr. Anderson opens the show with a celebration. Gunner comes out and wants a title shot for helping Anderson hurt Sting. Anderson brushes him off. Gunner sends Anderson through a table.

* Brother Devon beat Hernandez after The Pope and Mexican America got involved.

* Austin Aries beat Kid Kash and another indy star to win a contract and a match at Destination X.

* Kurt Angle comes out to announce he is trying to compete at the 2012 Olympics. Jeff Jarrett comes out and wants a rematch, he isn't done with Angle.

* Rosita and Sarita defeated Velvet Sky and Miss Tessmacher.

* Rob Van Dam beat Samoa Joe.

* Gunner defeated Mr. Anderson in a non-title match. Eric Bischoff made an appearance after the match and riled up Gunner.

So...Who wants to start taking bets on when Spike TV cancels Impact?

Why is Aries not in ROH?

RVD beats Joe clean?

GUNNER COULD GET A SHOT AT THE BELT? BEATS THE CHAMP CLEAN?

The "rumor" is that Aries has an "attitude" or speaks his mind too much, or hurts morale, or something. Basically, once Pearce was done booking, Aries lost his only real supporter in ROH, and was done. He theh went to DGUSA, but he just finished up there last weekend. Who knows, maybe he's going back to TNA.... Doubt it though.

St. Jimmy

Aries had some of the best matches in the company's history with Danielson. I guess I see the morale bit, that can be problematic. I'd rather shut up than work for TNA however.

I liked him as Austin Starr way back when in TNA.

WHO THE HELL IS GUNNER?

And why does RVD still have to be there?

I think the exact words Aries used was that he was labeled "a backstage cancer."

At the second part; Really?

Why the fuck is this feud still going?

I'd love to work for TNA before it tanks. Apparently all I'll have to do is make my way from the parking lot to the locker room to be given a the main event spot and what will likely turn into 9 title shots in the course of two shows.

Kurt Angle is gone for 9 months because of Olympics training for that matter. And he's training for olympic WRESTLING TOO!!! If anyone wants to be a olympic gold medalist, Kurt is the poster guy for that one.

Gunner could be the next World Champ.

A guy who a couple weeks ago got duped by Eric Young and lost the TV title to.

Most famously he tagged with a guy named Murphy (who's real name is funny enough Michael Cole...lol) as they were TNA Security.

Of all the people they pick to push, and its Gunner..I think thats the problem. Cause he sucks.

Can they just cut Joe already, they've already destroyed any star power he has.

Gunner's actually not all that bad. Should he be going over clean against the newly crowned World Champion? No. But I'll reserve judgment until I actually see the show. Their have been many times I read the spoiler for a show and thought "God, that's stupid," only to watch the show and have a different opinion.

Back on point Gunner is not bad/good he could be an upper min-carder some day but they've been pushed him a little too far too fast.

I agree with this Samoa Joe has been so poorly handled for the past 2 years its criminal. Even if you don't like Samoa Joe you have to admit he should either be treated better by TNA or just let go.

On the other hand, the fact that Joe doesn't seem to give a shit about his appearance/physical conditioning and shape anymore, makes me not give a shit about him. Maybe TNA would care about him more if he had ambition.

With this

It's not like he's gotten gigantic in comparrison, but he seemed a lot more fit earlier in TNA and ROH.

Haven't kept up with TNA recently but besides sort of help Mr Anderson win the title, has Gunner done anything to be considered the #1 contender.

Speaking of which, did TNA ever finish that #1 contender match that stretched for a while or just dropped it?

I had to google 'TNA roster' to find out who Gunner was. TNA just needs some consistency. Not random push of the month.

As for Joe, I'm sure if he thought he'd be used right he'd make more of an effort, but he's probably better off in TNA financially then anywhere else that will have him.

Happy to see Austine Aries on the show, glad he's not retiring like he was hinting of a while back.

And the thing is, it's not even the weight/the shape he's in. In the past year or two he's just started wrestling like he doesn't give a shit. Where there used to be an energy to his movements, now he just seem to be going through the motions.

TNA pushing random guys into the world title scene is very end of WCW, if the "pissed off and misused" guys start jumping to ROH and form a stable who align with and then turn against Mick Foley I will be convinced history is repeating itself.

- Below are the TNA Impact Wrestling taping results for next week:

*Impact opened with Eric Bischoff calling out Sting for what he did to Hulk Hogan . Sting rips apart Bischoff, kicks the hell out of him and takes Bischoff out with the Scorpion Deathlock.

*Bully Ray pinned Scott Steiner .

*Miss Jackie & ODB defeated Velvet Sky & Miss Tessmacher.

*Crimson & Matt Morgan defeated James Storm & Alex Shelley.

* AJ Styles cuts a promo announcing that he’s returning to the X-Division at the Destination X PPV and so is the six sided ring. Daniels challenges him to a match at the PPV and AJ agrees. They talk about the history of the X-Division and throw out names like Jerry Lynn or Kid Kash returning. Samoa Joe comes out and gets involved/

*Shima Xion defeated Dakota Darsow and Federico Palacious (former ROH star Azrieal, working under his real name) to earn a spot on the Destination X PPV.

*Winter defeated Velvet Sky in a Falls Count Anywhere match after Angelina Love interfered.

*X-Division champ Abyss defeated Sting by DQ when Sting used a barbed wire glove Abyss brought into the match.

Looks like Destination X will be headlined by what many consider the best match in TNA history AJ VS Joe VS Daniels

Honestly, from what I'm hearing, Destination X should be good.

But that's because it's not a real PPV. After Destination X it'll go back to the Hogan Show.

The spoilers especially the 2nd show look pretty interesting. Also I love Abyss with the "Xtreme" title, perfect angle to build the PPV around.

I wanna see Abyss take on an X-Division Gauntlet or something.

Also it would be cool if on the PPV they had a well written angle/story with Sting and Hogan fighting building to their inevitable match at BFG.

Also I think we are gonna get RVD/Lynn perhaps, if not at X then at Hardcore Justice.

Jordan
06-15-2011, 11:27 AM
And if TNA can snag Low Ki for a one off, who would you put him against? I can't really come up with anything, other than maybe RVD, that would be sick.

Jordan
06-15-2011, 11:28 AM
BTW I don't care/am not excited for the 6 sided ring, but I think it's a good idea to keep it X based.

I don't understand why was this episode so horrible. Eric Bischoff loves the "anything can happen" motto show there's always gonna be random shit happening while he's there. The matches were pretty good in my opinion, good "filler" matches (Hernandez/ Devon, knockouts tag) the X Division was great, and the RVD vs Joe match was one I've been waiting for. The random shit was completely expected (Gunner winning, Jarrett/ Angle brawl, Sting attacked Hogan) Id say this weeks Impact was better than they've had in awhile, I'm looking forward to the X Division and Heavyweight title series matches

Lol, I was thinking that too after I looked it up and found out he's over 40. He did look good though, at least better than he did at Hardcore Justice.

Side Note, anyone else think its funny that everyone keeps calling AJ Styles "Kid" and he's in his mid 30s?
