And reading the recap, it gets me pretty pumped. For those wondering, here are the short facts:
* Jay Lethal returned, got a huge pop, worked a surprisingly good ten-minute match with "The Prodigy" Mike Bennett, and got the win over him with a Flying Elbow after Bennett, being a dick-rag heel, tried the same move despite his manager yelling at him not to.
* Rhino looked motivated as hell in his match against Homicide, and although 'Cide won with a sunset flip counter to a Gore, Rhino DESTROYED Homicide post-match with a Gore through a table in his old ECW stomping ground. This, combined with Tommaso Ciampa's winning streak continuing against Colt Cabana, further builds Prince Nana's Embassy.
* The Steve Corino/Jimmy Jacobs/Kevin Steen stuff took an interesting turn. This was basically a segment-match-segment angle, which saw Corino try to get Steen back into ROH, but Steen get turned away, Michael Elgin of House of Truth beat Corino, and then Steen return to save Corino & Jacobs from a massive beat-down, only for Steen to say "FUCK RING OF HONOR!" and turn on Corino. No clue where exactly this is going, but the crowd was apparently RABID, and reading the finer details of this made it sound like an amazing angle to see play out.
* El Generico defeated Christopher Daniels to become only the third ROH World Television Champion in the company's history. Ole! This was apparently a really, really great match, approaching the 20-minute mark.
* The Four-Way Tag Team Elimination Match featuring Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team (Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas), The Kings of Wrestling, The Briscoes and The All-Night Express apparently went 40 minutes, was amazing, and saw the champs (Haas & Benjamin) retain. The Briscoes were the first eliminated, by their current enemies, All-Night Express, only to return after WGTT defeated The Kings, cracking steel chairs over Haas & Benjamin's heads. The Kings joined in, and ANX returned to make the babyface save.
* Davey Richards defeated Eddie Edwards to become the new ROH World Champion after he nailed Eddie Edwards with a vicious kick to the face to cap-off a 35-minute match. I've read some of the criticisms of their last encounter (which Edwards won to become the first ROH World Television Champion), and apparently it didn't have the same problems of no-selling or unbelievable kick-outs. Everyone seems to be raving about its quality. The match was followed up by a show of respect between The American Wolves, with Richards calling Eddie Edwards, Kyle O'Reilly and Tony Kozina his family, and Edwards showing complete respect for Richards (and not the heel turn many predicted).
