My favoritest rassler who is active right now in the art of rasslin is Wade Barrett. I think he is the real deal and one day he will be the champ. My 2nd best is Alberto Del Rio because he has a scarf.

I seriously don't understand you people.

Bryan only gets 3-4 minutes of in ring action a week. He does the same 4 moves and can't even apply his finisher to anyone over 5'10'' and he is the 'best in-ring wrestler.'

He might be a great wrestler, but we don't know because he doesn't get to do anything. Are we completely basing this off of his match with Ziggy a year ago?

A great actor can be in a shit film that makes jack shit and doesn't use him to his potential. Does that make him any less of a great actor?

Also, notice how everyone who has mentioned him said in-ring and had a "total package" qualifier for someone else.

Fact is, when it comes to in-ring, Danielson delivers no matter what. He just isn't in a position to draw for WWE and may never get the chance. And hell, he many not even be able to draw for WWE. That doesn't make his in-ring work any less amazing.

If you look at it from a business perspective, then the answer, by default, has to be John Cena. However, seeing I like to watch wrestling as a fan, and not as someone analyzing a business, I think I'll go with what I enjoy more.

There is no reason to critique someone's wrestling ability or their in ring performance based on how good they are for the business. They are two entirely different categories. I mean, William Regal is way better in the ring , a better wrestler, than Randy Orton, but Randy Orton is a bigger asset to the company.

Except I, personally, do know, because I've seen amazing stuff from him outside of WWE AND within WWE. So I don't really see your argument.

Bryan has had some decent-length TV matches with DiBiase, Rhodes and Sin Cara since going to Smackdown. I don't know exactly how much time you think officially designates the amount needed to show wrestling ability but I don't see what makes him less qualified to be judged than anyone else.

Oh yeah, plus what Xero said. Just because you haven't seen enough of him in WWE to judge him as a wrestler doesn't mean there aren't people who have seen more from him... he has other matches out there that are accessible.

Xero

You want to talk about match length?

<object style="height: 390px; width: 640px"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/FLRXA4mk1r4?version=3"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/FLRXA4mk1r4?version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="390"></object>

That match is basically in its entirety. Maybe 30 seconds or so chopped off, but still. That match, within a 2 minute span, blows away 80% of WWE TV matches.

Show me someone else who can make a 3 minute match that good? Yes, he had Regal, but they both deserve equal credit. Very few could do it.

2. R-Truth
3. Cena
4. Miz
5. Orton

I didn't realize the thread said 'list your top 5'?:wtf:

Anyway, i don't doubt people when they say Daniel Bryan but i haven't seen enough of him to be able to judge him properly so gonna go with CM Punk.

IMO, the best "active" wrestler on the current roster is CM Punk. Since he'll be gone in a week, my next pick would be Sheamus. He's one of the few big guys that can do springboards, top rope moves, and can talk really well. For a guy that's 6'6" and 270 lbs he's agile as some cruiserweights. And I always find his mic work hilarious and entertaining.

While I don't agree with LL Cool Gertner here, I am intrigued by his well-known opinion of Daniel Bryan.

I like Daniel Bryan yet I always found Chris Benoit to be boring. Your thoughts?

I find that interesting, b/c Daniel Bryan and Chris Benoit both are/were phenominal wrestlers that can't talk well. I guess it comes down to personal preference. I personally think Benoit was better at adapting to all sizes and styles, where Daniel Bryan hasn't quite been able to do that yet.

I liked Benoit more than Bryan, but I always thought made Benoit out to be more over than he was. I noticed this towards the end of his career. The crowd would pop for his entrance, then go silent, and then pop for the crossface. Anything in between was total silence.

I wasn't a fan of his title run. Eddie yes, Benoit no.
