lol watching a promo for it and Bischoff just completely buries the division. While, yeah, he's heel and in-character, but still, it's ridiculous for that to be on TV, let alone on a promo for the PPV.

I don't really mind fans cheering heels or booing faces so much. The fans aren't the issue. They'll do whatever they want. But actually booking heels and face.

Anderson is definitely a heel. That's definitely one example of a clear cut heel.

But most of the guys outside the main event seem to be faces. Even while feuding with other faces. It's ridiculous. Guys like D'Angelo Dinero, Samoa Joe, Max Buck... it literally seems like they have no idea what they want them to be.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Austin Aries is one of the guys in the business who should be huge. He'll never be as big as he should be though because he's "small." With that said though, he's a beast in the ring, great on the mic, and just like CM Punk, he "gets it." He has all the little nuances and little things down.

AJ Styles needs a gimmick PPV that, by definition of the gimmick, excludes Sting, Angle, Jarrett, Anderson and the world title in order to main event. The man is basically Mr. TNA but they can't help but shove him below any upper-card WWE guy that comes in because it's easier to use stars built in a vastly more popular company than to actually make the guy that's been the face of your company into a major star.

I know I'm far from the first to make that observation but watching this I'm just thinking about how only when WWE's stars aren't present and the star quality of the PPV is purposely pushed way down that a homemade guy can main event. And this is why TNA will continue to be MILES behind anything relevant.

lol

I'd be way more willing to pay for a 1 hour PPV with just the two MITB matches than anything from TNA. Just sayin'.

But then again, I like when matches actually have meaning.

So why are you so impatient for it to get here then?

Can TNA keep it up?

I kinda doubt it.

Here's my thoughts:

RVD/Lynn: Please let this be the last one. It was "good" but it shows both of their ages. Let it be done.
Aries/Ion/Ki/Evans: Evans needs a tan. Bad. That being said, AMAZING match with the right person going over. LOVE ARIES. Too bad it's TNA :o
AJ/Daniels: LOOK. TWO GUYS ARE WRESTLING AND NO ONE CARES. :/ they put on a good match for no one. Sad.

Let's get some feedback on the show from last night, via Twitter:

Dixie Carter: Wow. What a brilliant night for Impact Wrestling's X Division. I'm so proud.

Eric Bischoff: Enjoyed the PPV tonight. Big tip of the hat to RVD and Jerry Lynn. Story, action, and character. The way it should be done.

Bob Ryder: Really enjoyed Destination X. What a talented roster we have!

Borash: Mike Tenay is a class act and was a great pleasure to work with. Incredible job by the wrestlers tonight at #DestinationX

AAAAND last but certainly not least, brother: Hulk Hogan: PPV - Did you like it? HH

I think Hogan meant to Tweet "PPV - Did you like it? If one of you didn't, we're putting the X Division out of its misery for good. HH."

Nah, Abyss will win back the X-Division title in a couple weeks.

I'm gonna start watching TNA again for one reason only: A Double.

Decent but puzzling show.

I'm interested to see if any good can come of this. Presumably, if the PPV does well they will put some focus back on the X Division, but I'd guess the PPV won't do well, because TNA PPVs tend not to, which would give Hogan/Bischoff/Russo/whoever the chance to kill the division full stop.

The crowd were hot for a lot of the action/guys involved and that should be a clear sign that these are the guys and the type of action they wanna see. Will TNA give it to them? We'll have to wait and see.

All 4 guys in the Contract Match were impressive and the fans were into all of them. By rights all 4 men should be signed. Will TNA uphold the stipulation of the winner getting the contract? Would we care if they renegged if it meant bringing in another 3 talented guys?

As an aside, I have no issue with the Impact Zone fans chanting "EVERYBODY" or for them cheering the heels. It's nice to see fans appreciating what is happening. People call the TNA fans retarded or sheep but honestly, I think they're just a "smarter" crowd. Besides, nobody gives WWE fans shit for cheering Punk.

They featured so many guys that have barely seen TV time over the past month or so. Red, Robbie E, Shark Boy, Shannon Moore. On top of that they used Mark Haskins who has been given 0 exposure, Jerry Lynn who will now go back into retirement, Low-Ki, Jack Evans and Zima Ion who supposedly won't be seen again. They've tried to sell a PPV which is half full of guys we haven't really seen much of/won't see again, just seems a little "weird".

Either way, good show with plenty of action.
