It's not "lol WWE" it's "lol budget games". Kinda like how Crush Hour was.

I'm all for something different, look at all-stars. This is like they took WCW Backstage Assault, mixed it with a little Powerstone and called it a day.

It looks alright to me.

The trailer reminded me of Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks and a tiny bit of The Bouncer.

I'll be buying it anyway and hopefully we hear more about it soon. :y:

Though I don't think it's all "fantasy" and so on because if you pause the video at 1:11, you can see that Cena and whoever the other guy is, are on a set, with stage lights, curtains that are acting a some kind of backdrop, a camera crane and what looks like someone standing on a scaffolding to the left.

The story might be something along the lines of making movies or whatever. I'm just guessing.

But like I said, I'll be buying the game anyway.

I think it will be back. Reckon they'll rotate their early year game over 2 or 3 years because they're using smaller teams compared to the main game and can't crank one out every single year. Probably for the best.

Just found out that this was shown at a WWE conference in April and it just flew under the radar because THQ isn't even showing it off to VG outlets properly yet.

Not sure if that's lack of confidence in the game and are just making it on the cheap to see if the WWE logo will sell it, or if they just didn't want to take focus away from WWE 12.

They were the same guys that did No Mercy and although I think the company still exists, a lot of key people actually joined the Smackdown devs and helped create the Gamecube games. Not sure if they're still there.

Also, just noticed: Cena's wrist bands look like Sound Villiage headbands. And Edge uses what looks to be the "Uzumaki Barrage"... looks like they're trying to add yet another demographic with this game.
