WWE IS coming to El Paso; Terry Funk to appear in Amarillo


The SmackDown! Superstars ARE coming to the El Paso (Texas) County Coliseum on Sunday, May 2 for a huge, anxiously anticipated live event.

Eddie Guerrero will make his first hometown appearance as WWE Champion, as he battles John Bradshaw Layfield in a “Latino Heat Street Fight.” In another special attraction, the Undertaker will be there, along with Paul Bearer, taking on Booker T. Others scheduled to appear include John Cena, Torrie Wilson, Rob Van Dam and the new WWE Tag Team Champions, Charlie Haas & Rico, accompanied by Miss Jackie.

The outstanding live event has been postponed three times due to various scheduling conflicts, but WWE officials say this event WILL happen on Sunday, May 2. And all tickets dated Dec. 27, April 30 or May 1 will be honored!

In other WWE live event news, Terry Funk will be making a special appearance at the RAW-brand event on Friday, April 30 in Amarillo, Texas (kicking off at 7:30 p.m. at the Events Center at West Texas A&M).

RAW General Manager Eric Bischoff has called on Funk, a West Texas A&M alumnus, to “maintain law and order” at the event, which will feature a World Heavyweight Championship match between Chris Benoit and Triple H. Also scheduled to appear: Randy Orton, Shelton Benjamin, Kane, Christian with Trish Stratus and Tyson Tomko, Lita, Victoria, Edge and more!
