Regarding Mick Foley and WWE, The Wrestling Observer reports that the two sides are talking and most expect some kind of deal to eventually be made.

Foley was asked today by a fan on Twitter if he would consider being a WWE guy again. Foley responded, "Sure, I would - I'm considering it right now."

Foley also asked fans if they had heard any good wrestling rumors lately, possibly responding to reports that he was spotted at last night's Smackdown taping in Philadelphia. The Observer added that Foley was scheduled to be in Philadelphia last night but didn't have it confirmed.

What do you guys think about this? What role do you think he'll play?

Just put him in in-ring promos with Punk forever.

Hopefully it's for the Hall of Fame. I didn't mind him on commentary either. I just don't want to see him wrestle or in some kind of GM role. That's all played out for me.

I bet Mick regrets ever going to TNA. I honestly think he only did it because he was pissed at Vince over the whole "yelling over the headset" deal on Smackdown.

Whatever his role, a Foley/corporate Triple H ineraction would be pretty interesting. Provided it didn't turn into a feud.

Ah well, he'll still probably be fun to watch.

Sweet! Not sure what he'd do at this point, but I hope he doesn't wrestle.

I love Foley, but I don't wanna see him in another match.

Hall of Fame for sure. Manager maybe? Is Tyson Kidd still having that revolving door around him on Superstars?

Considering all the shit he had to say about WWE, I'd say inolving himself with them is pretty much a sign of no integrity.

I'd prefer him to do maybe a short storyline, if only to get a Rock/Foley and maybe Punk/Foley promo out of it. Then go into the Hall of Fame.

That already happened at WM 20. Can't see WWE rehashing the past since Cena already has a match will The Rock.

If anything, I'd wanna see Foley have one final match at WM and be inducted into the Hall Of Fame. A perfect ending for his career as far as I'm concerned...

If Triple H were to turn heel, and Foley was the GM with some type of "guarenteed" contract, could be some interesting tv.

Used to be a fan, but now I could do without his his smug self-indulgent fat arse on television.

Put him backstage as a road-agent or even on the booking/writing staff. He always had a very creative imagination and a wealth of experience some of the younger guys could benefit from.

Wouldn't mind seeing one final match with Foley to make it 20-0 for the Undertaker. Unfortunately, I dont see this happening since it would likely be Taker's last WM match. Seeing Foley go up against The Miz or even Wade Barrett in a street fight of some sort could be decent.

Sign him to a legends deal and let him make random appearances on TV. Unless he's actually motivated enough to get back into decent shape then he's better off not getting back into the ring. He'd be ideal in the ambassador type role they wanted to use Flair in too.

Unfortunately, a Foley/Taker match would have to be pretty brutal to live up to their past matches. Plus, I always saw Taker's streak as a way of getting the new guys over, so Foley wrestling him does nothing for the long term. As far as Foley wrestling, it would be interesting to see him wrestle The Miz or Sheamus in a hardcore match.

There are other ways of bringing him back though. Maybe as a manager or RAW GM. In any event, I don't see him being a commentator again after his previous fall out with WWE...

Something with Punk, something with Christian, Hall of Fame next year and then sporadic appearances ala Bret Hart/Dusty Rhodes/Dibiase, whilst working for the WWE in an ambassador role like I think he used to.

Done and done.

Rock Bottom

Would be nice to have him back. Not sure what he'll do, don't really care. There's plenty going on that's doing very well, so his involvement in things might remain fairly supportive. As predictable and played out as it is, I wouldn't be surprised to see him have a couple exchanges with Cena about The Rock.

Nothing ill willed. Just to help keep Rock "going" on TV without Rock really having to be there. Could be that Foley doesn't agree with him talking shit about Rock being absent since Rock "got him reinstated" or whatever.

Could just come run around the ring with his arm raised for no reason and get a massive pop. Who knows. Don't mind either way.

Foley also has history with Triple H, so there's plenty with that, since they don't really wrestle. This is more likely than the former, I think, but I suppose it's all workable. Triple H retired Foley from wrestling in the WWE, they could always play around with that if they were both authority figures. Anonymous GM is possible. Haven't heard from that thing in a while.

I'm not saying this to "get into anyting with you" but has this ever been the case?

Yeah, breaking the streak would be a sure-fire way of getting a new face over but in the list of 19 matches at Mania the only real guy that was "climbing the ranks" that he's faced was Orton at 21 - who had already been WHC at that point.

HHH, HBK and Flair were already legends by the time they faced him. Edge and Batista were already fixtures in the Main Event. Kane and Mark Henry were already veterans when they faced him at Mania's 20 and 22 respectively.

It was more of a long term vision I think WWE should have for the streak. Having a battle with an established wrestler does nothing for the future. Sure, it is more intriguing to see it, but like I said, doing that only pads a resume. Whereas doing it with a yonger guy would almost instantly make them a legend.

Even doing it with semi established guys would work. Guys that have many years left in their careers. Orton, Cena, CM Punk, John Morrison, R-Truth, Sheamus, Drew McIntrye, Cody Rhodes, or etc are guys that could potentially benefit from defeating Taker @WM. I doubt WWE will ever let the streak be broken, but if it is, I wanna see the future benefit from it. Not a veteran who's gonna retire in a couple of years and not be helping the company long term...

His ideas could surely be no worse than some of the stuff WWE creative has done in past few years. Wrestlers or former wrestlers tend to have more vision as a booker than some young kid fresh out of college. I think Foley being a part of WWE in one form or another is benefical to them...

Ppl here seem to give Foley crap about it, but at least he was attempting to make the wrestling business better. He came out of retirement trying to help TNA. He was one of the few WWE guys who was productive there. It's not like his matches were 5 stars classics, but I think he did a good job.

At the time, it was the right move for him. WWE was using him as a commentator and it didn't suit him. Going to TNA gave him a chance to be relevant again. WWE wasn't gonna let him wrestle again...
