View Full Version : Fedor cut from Strikeforce
http://www.espn.co.uk/ufc/sport/story/104202.html
Dunno, maybe it was predictable after the Hendo loss but still weird to see Fedor not wanted by an company.
Where does he go from here? I could honestly see Dana hiring him in UFC and getting a bit too over confident in his skills diminishing, dunno if Fedor would be down for that humbling though.
Strikeforce too....theyve lost Fedor, Overeem, Diaz and Mayhem in a matter of months...is there really any point in carrying on with it after the GP has ended?

I think he's done with Zuffa/ UFC. I know M-1 has a separate deal with Showtime so he'll probably stay on that network. I personally think he should retire though.

Additionally, I think that the HWGP is close to meaningless now. Cormier is in deep shit vs....bigfoot

It was pretty stupid before the favorites got beat/dropped out. Why do a tournament when you have a champion already? Grown a pair and make the Fedor/Overeem fight happen, don't set up a bullshit tournament and hope for the best. That's why Scott Coker is Dana White's employee instead of his competition now.

He's gotta fight again before retiring, scratch that, he's gotta knock someone out before retiring, otherwise he'd hang his head in every bar he goes in.

UFC should pick up Fedor, to revitalize his career.
Maybe all Fedor needs is a change of scenery. But he has to win this time
There's still money with Fedor on a UFC card. Everyone loves a comeback story.

Very hypocritical for Uncle Dana to drop Fedor, while belittling him, while he keeps Dan hardy! AND I LIKE DAN HARDY!

Fedor should have retired when he beat that guy who worked at a tire store 10 months before his fight with Fedor.

Dana White is a huge fag if he doesn't give Fedor his last fight in the UFC
FFS, Fedor a good man and a man of God, he deserves to atleast have a fight in the UFC. Every fan would love to atleast get to witness Fedor strap on some UFC gloves and have a go in the octogon.
Why is Dana still holding a grudge?

It's a business too. Fedor's management turned down the UFC's offer and let him fight cans in Strikeforce. Now that he's gotten beaten by two mid-tier at best heavyweights and a guy whose best days were at 185, why should Dana bring him in?
Plus, M-1 still has a contract with Showtime so they're not going to let their star client fight for the UFC when he can still fight for them on Showtime. Apparently, they want him to fight Kevin Randleman. What a joke. Let the guy retire with some dignity going out fighting the best instead of beating up on has beens and never weres.

He walked away from a 6 fight $30 million contract offer. To be more specific he was walking away from 5 times what the highest paid guys in MMA make. Then he went on this losing streak to guys who wouldn't even be contenders in the UFC. His stock is worthless now and he still has that M-1 cross promotion global ball and chain attached to him, so it's never gonna happen. Fedor did it to himself. Funny thing is that if not for Arlovski being so ridiculously glass jawed, no one would even be talking about Fedor like he was some big unstoppable monster.
What Would Kevin Do?

Yeah, I don't see how any of this is Dana's fault. Dana owes Fedor nothing.
