Smith had all of the chances he needed, he was put on TV with the whole Hart backing schtick, if he'd have shown the smallest amount of anything, they'd have done something with him, WWE loves their 2nd/3rd generation guys and his father/family is more famous than just about anybody's. But he's blandblandblandblandblandblandbland. He can go back to Japan, keep "honing his craft" while improving his character and his look, develop a personality/attempt to stand out a bit and gain some promo skills and they'll bring him back if he shows a bit of growth.

I’ve always believed that Melina is the most talented Diva ever employed by World Wrestling Entertainment. (not to mention the hottest!) Her face conveys emotion. Vince McMahon likes to say “Television is a feeling” and I agree with him. That’s what Sports Entertainment is all about. Melina’s presence on Television, aside from the obvious (she be sexy!) is raw emotion- joy, rage, surprise, disgust… her passion just pours out of her.
Melina’s presence on Monday Night Raw will be missed by the WWE universe… and especially by me.
I think this is the end of a chapter in the book of @RealMelina – I met Melina on my audition for Tough Enough 3, I never forgot the smile, and hug she gave me when I made the show and she got cut and told to go home. I’ve stood next to her with Joey while MNM was yelled at; told we’d never make it, we were worthless. I’ve seen her come back from 2 career threatening injuries. She is one of a kind, and talented enough to do whatever she wants. I’m proud to be her man. I love her, and will support whatever she chooses to do next.

Only one I actually care about is Gail Kim. Very talented, and a shame she didn't get another big run on her return. Her release is the least surprising of these to me.

I was never a huge fan of Vladimir Kozlov. He was pretty entertaining with Santino, but that was about it. He isn't bad in the ring, I just never really cared for him. Never bought him as a main event-level threat, either.

Speaking of guys I never cared for: Chris Masters. People here seem to love this guy, especially recently. As I've said in the many threads dedicated to him, I don't get it. He's always just seemed kind of "there" to me. Never saw anything special in him, and certainly didn't see him as a World title guy like others did.

While I don't love DH Smith, I do see that he has talent. Problem is, it's all in-ring and not much in the way of charisma. Thought he and Kidd were going places with Bret's backing, and even with the split I saw potential. He's still young, so I could see him coming back sometime down the line. I won't be crushed if he doesn't, though.

Releases always sadden me, but the ones we've gotten so far have been pretty logical, really. They could have all been used a bit better, but the thing is that they weren't. Chris Masters is probably the biggest shock to me. If the guy went to Japan or something, and continued to better himself, I could see the WWE giving him a third go in the future. But he's apparently good friends with Rob Van Dam, so I could see him being signed to TNA and being a semi-big deal there.

DH Smith getting busted with a Wellness Policy violation within a short period of time after his debut basically killed his momentum besides for a few moments regardless of his related lineage with the Harts.

Sin Cara should be safe for a big re-push in the near future because the WWE still needs a Hispanic/Mexican face wrestler to pander to that big market and Del Rio doesn't want to turn face for a long time after spending almost his whole Mexican career as a face.

Yeah, but if they can just replace Sin Cara, as they are on the house shows and SmackDown! until his suspension is up, there's absolutely no point to keep him around. Especially if the "new" Sin Cara is better, which is yet to be seen.

He may have completely blown his chance if this new guy knows how to work the WWE style.

Johnny "Lucky Cannon" Prime had been with WWE/FCW for awhile now, I thought he made a decient heel but meh none the less. I think Koslov's release was kinda a dissapointment, I thought him as the big goofball was actually kinda entertaining (maybe he's just a big cuddley teddy bear in real life)
