I'm going to limit this to bands/musical acts that I can actually see one day, and not mention bands or acts where people are dead or there's "no way in hell" the band is getting back together.
Fortunately, I have seen like 98% of bands I would want to see.
David Bowie
Morrissey
Modest Mouse
Crystal Castles
Flying Lotus
Pixies (might be going in November actually)
Broken Social Scene (I saw them play like 4 songs in Toronto so this kind of doesn't count)
The Cure
Pavement
Fuck Buttons
Gang Gang Dance (missed them twice this year already for a variety of reasons)
Wu Tang (dunno why I haven't seen them yet)
Patti Smith (might be seeing her in November)
Gorillaz
Brian Wilson
Kapoutman

FLaser has some pretty good ideas. I've seen Modest Mouse. They're amazing live. Same goes for Pixies. They're very generous, play for a long time, good vibe going on through the show. Gorillaz is great as a band, there's so many people on stage. The visuals are also nice, and the whole show is an incredible experience.
I would like to see:
David Bowie
Morrissey
Broken Social Scene
Sam Roberts
Dinosaur Jr/J Mascis
Sage Francis
Jarvis Cocker
Radiohead
Arcade Fire
Fryza

I saw Rammstein back in 2001 with Slipknot, System of a Down, and Mudvayne. Rammstein nearly stole the damn show. One of the best live bands I've ever seen.
For me, I think the only band that I really, and I mean really want to see is Rush. I've already seen Strife, Earth Crisis, and Integrity. Those are pretty much my favorite bands. So all that's left is Rush.

Also, Broken Social Scene is about the farthest I can get from music I enjoy. They played here a few weeks ago and I had the displeasure of working through the whole thing literally 10 feet from the stage.
Not a knock on anyones taste, but definitely not my cup of tea.
it's a gig at the height of nu-metal with Slipknot and SOAD and Mutter had only just been released, which "broke" them in the English speaking world, not surprising really. Saw them last time they toured, going again in February, best live show on Earth.

Sonne might be the most epic song ever created by a german band.

It was the Pledge of Allegiance tour in 2001. I guess it'd be weird to have a band from Germany headlining such a tour.
Also, I need to fucking see All Out War, they released a new album last year but I haven't heard shit about touring plans. Pissin' me off.

In Flames is amazing live.
I've seen In Flames many times, and they always bored me live. I dig a few of their albums though.
