Just gave this a first listen...actually a lot better than I was expecting. Probably his worst album, but still pretty damn solid.

Jam packed with typical Wayne punchlines, and a few awesome guest verses including one from Andre 3K from out of nowhere.

I am going to bet this thread gets 4 replies

More than 4 probably.

Never could get into Wayne for some reason. Saw this leaked the other day though.

Best song doesn't have Lil Wayne on it

Final Verdict: 7/10. Better than 90% of rap albums, but still instantly forgettable. Dunno, wish he would change his style up a bit but it's same old same old for the most part. Still good, but his method is getting a bit stale.

I dunno. I almost feel like this is Wayne at his worst.

I didn't really feel Carter IV except for two or three tracks.

Losing respect for Buzzkill

Do you think it's worse than his rock and roll album

Worst album I've ever heard, but I'm going to listen to it for the first time tommorow.

Not that big a fan of the album. Had a few good tracks on it though. He broke iTunes single week sales record and he's on pace to sale 850,000 digital and physical copies though so I guess we're in the minority or 850,000 people are going to be pissed after listening to it.

No his rock and roll album was one of the worst things I have ever heard in my life

It is way worse than his best work tho (Dedication 2, Drought 3 mixtape, Carter II and III)

Feel like lots of people write off Lil Wayne as just another mainstream gangsta rapper (which in a way, he is), but his lyrical skills are (or were) pretty effing genius. He used to be unconventional in every way, but now he's just settling down and mailing it in it seems like.

Whenever I tell people I like Lil Wayne I feel like I need to clarify that I listen to pretty much every form of hip hop. I've even stomached a few Atmosphere albums. I'm not just a mindless Top 40 fan.
