Dave Meltzer is reporting that WWE has been in contact with Sting in past weeks, and here is the latest update. Currently, Sting does have much interest at all in appearing for WWE, though the rumor going around right now is that if he could get WWE to sign Lex Luger, he would be willing to make some WWE appearances.

The story behind this is that Luger, a very close friend of Sting's, is currently having major financial problems after going through divorce and paying legal expenses, and Sting is using himself as a way to help Luger out.

That was from TPWW's front page. I'd hate to see Sting have to go to WWE, knowing how he felt about it. If it's true however, Sting is one hell of a friend.

Here's hoping we never ever EVER have to do a caption pic of Sting ass raping HHH...

But, seeing as how Sting is something that Luger is not (over), he'll probably be used for the sole purpose of being the next Legend to put Orton over, when and if he loses his heat again...

Yeah, talk about taking one for the team.

If booked correctly, Sting would be a great addition and I personally would love to see him in the WWE stalking Triple H or getting some big name dream matches against The Rock and one more go around with Flair.

But what the hell would Luger do? Psoedown contests with Scott Steiner? Sell hotdogs before the show?

And how sad is it that after years as a major star in the business, to the point where Vince signed him with the hope of being the next Hulk Hogan, that now Lex Luger is the loser friend who tags along to all the cool parties because his big brother was invited? :nono:

My math teacher and Steve (Sting) are actually very best friends from high school and Mr. Murray said that the last time he talked to him that Steve said it was pretty much over as far as wrestling goes. He doesn't like the type of life it creates for him and his family. He's focusing much on creating a new life for himself under the guidance of god...

Aside from one line in the Wrestling Observer two weeks before WrestleMania saying Sting had previously talked to WWE with no serious talks, when did Dave Meltzer say WWE was in contact with Sting? I read the Observer word for word and visit his site every day and I never saw it.

Damned if I know, don't get the observer. Just read it on the main page. I doubt it's true considering how Sting felt about going there, just sayng if by some chance he's a hell of a friend.

yeah, I'd love to see Sting in the WWE, just to see some matchups you thought you'd never see.

I'd blow a load for a Sting v. HBK match... honestly, I'd rather not see another Sting v. Flair match. I'd like that left as it is.

Luagr could be used to help put Orton over, or maybe fill some feud time for some titles, fill space while people are injured or stuff. I wouldn't want to see him w/ a belt, but if used correctly he could be a good addition for a short time.

I'd like to see the light go out in the Benoit/Shawn Michaels match, only for both guys to be down with a baseball bat in the middle of the ring. Benoit finally makes the cover for three. We see little vignettes and strage things happening backstage. Scorpions showing up, and Eugene saying he keeps seeing a ghost. It turns out to be Sting who feuds with Benoit, then Kane (I'd love to see these two feud).

As for Luger, he would make a great bdyguard for Hirohito. Maybe the two could beat Edge & Benoit for the World Tag Team Championship?

That is assuming both guys end up in the WWE.

I never ever ever ever ever want to see Sting in the WWE. Especially if it means that Lex Luger's coming with him. I'm a big fan of the Stinger, but he's past his prime and they wouldn't have anything for him that would be worth the effort.

Let's say Sting is inserted into the World Title scene, thus knocking Benoit another step back from establishing himself as a top-tier star. With Triple H (one of the top names in the business in 99-00), Shawn Michaels (the top name of mid-90's WWF), and Sting (who freakin IS 90's WCW), Benoit wouldn't exactly hold up when it comes to name recognition. Even if he does job to Benoit, that won't necessarily make him any more over with the crowd (see: Orton, Randy) Plus, he'd most likely just wind up jobbing to Triple H as another check on his "more deserving stars that I've buried" list.

Or, more likely, he'll be put into the grinder as part of the ongoing operation to force-feed the fans Randy Orton no matter what they want. Which would only hurt Sting's image and do very little for Orton. If Mick Foley and Shawn Michaels giving him the rub didn't work, I highly doubt a win over Sting would (especially since Sting was always WCW, the company Vince and company still try to undermine and make look pathetic at every given opportunity)

Oh, and Lex Luger can go f</>uck himself. I never want to see his talentless roided-up ass on my TV ever again.

A feud with the Undertaker might be worth watching, but other than that I don't care about him and he probably wouldn't fit in anyway, especially if he doesn't even want to.

I'd really rather not see Sting in the WWE, simply because I was such a huge fan of his while he was in WCW, and I know that the WWE would screw up his character, just as they manage to do with every wrestler who isn't WWE-bred.

Besides, if Sting came that would mean Luger would come, and **** that.
