Has anyone seen this yet? New one from Kevin Smith (Clerks 1&2, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Dogma).
IMHO, not a bad movie at all.

I've been anxiously awaiting this film for a while. Huge Kevin Smith fan here.

I dunno. Two minds on this. Michael Parks was pretty damn good, but some of the cinematography tricks, along with the unrelenting bleakness, felt like a film student with a hard on for Fincher or something. Not to mention he flits from character to character so much it's hard to get attached to anyone, except John Goodman's character, and I didn't really get into his performance.

Watched this on Xbox/Zune whatever.
Was alright. Felt like there were only two acts and then it wrapped up in about 5min.
Glad I didn't pay to see it in the theater, but worth a watch

I don't know if it was or not. I don't recall ever seeing it advertised for the theater and I only remembered it because I was reading something about Kevin Smith and the movie was mentioned.

It's not out for a wide release. It's a long story, but essentially Smith is showing it himself with a roadshow, and it is available to watch on VOD services as of September 1.
