View Full Version : Hogan leaving TNA?

Don't get me wrong, I've been a fan of Hogan as a character for a long time, but I think we all can agree that TNA could stand to move on from him, as well as Bischoff. It is incomprehensible to me as to why Dixie Carter had assumed that either one of them would stick around for a lengthy period of time. They are both known for gettin goin when the going gets tough, so I fail to understand what she thought they would accomplish in the first place. I really think that daddy Carter needs to pull the plug on this thing and get someone who really wants to make it work in there.

Hogan and Bischoff have done alot of good for TNA.
Especially behind the scenes.
Hogan brought in alot of talented superstars to lead and guide the younger stars on how to work and do good promos. Eventually, it'll pay off.
You see TNA traveling more, and getting into bigger arenas, not to mention getting more publicity from the media, whether it's good or bad is irrelevant.
I think TNA stands to gain if they move to 8 pm est on Thursdays. Rumor is that Smackdown might be going Live soon on Tuesdays under Triple H, so they might get a boost by staying later in the week.
I would like to see tag teams rehashed in TNA.
Smack around Matt Hardy, find out what the fuck is going on, bring him and Jeff, keep them busy tagging up.
Reunite Team 3D/Dudley Boyz, and get other tag teams into the fray.
TNA has a lot of potential, but going back to Dixie Carter running the show from ringside, is a mistake.

I'm sorry but I couldn't go past that first sentence without a 20 minute laugh fest.
That second sentence is a pretty good laugh as well.

The only reason Hogan would leave TNA is if he was making more money elsewhere.
Maybe he's getting royalties from that porno that was released recently?

I don't understand how anyone can honestly want to watch Dudleys vs. Hardys in 2011. TNA needs to stop being the WWE retirement/wellness violation community.
Hogan and Bischoff I have no beef with, they came to a shit product, tried out a few things, and left a shit product 2 years later. No harm, no foul.
Well let me tell you somthing there, brother. I'm completely looking forward to his match with Sting at BFG, dude. Ya see, brother, I'm tired of all these young hotshot children like AJ Styles and Daniels flip flopping around the ring and calling it wrestling, brother. The thing is, dude, the only thing thats gonna outsell a WWE event is Sting Vs Hogan, brother. This is the match people have been waiting to see since Hogan came into TNA, brother. If you doubt the drawing power of Hulk Hogan, brother, than your sadly mistaken, brother!

What is this based on?Detroyed the x division, detroyed the company name they had built for 8 years, brought in crappy talent and failed to keep the good ones they had. Let jeff Hardy do what Jeff hardy does... Their constant ideas for heel/face turns made everyone not care. Oh yea they also fucked up the tag team, and Knockout divisions as well. Anything else I forget?
P.S. I was a die hard TNA fan before they got there. As soon as the 6 sides were gone I knew things were gonna get shitty.

Knew this wasn't going to have an article or anything.
Article Clark posted today . So in all honesty its probably part of the storyline and hogan will likely stay .
– In an update on Hulk Hogan’s announcement at the final set of iMPACT! Wrestling tapings this week (the show will air on 9/29), it was being portrayed as the end of the road for Hulk Hogan in TNA. This would obviously change all plans involving a Sting vs. Hogan match at Bound for Glory that they have spent months building up. Hogan being able to physically do a match has been questionable for some time following his recent set of back surgeries. Hogan was told he “absolutely can’t take any falls.” This comes the same week of news that Hogan and Eric Bischoff’s deals with TNA will be expiring in a few weeks in October.

When Hogan and Bischoff got to TNA it was a steaming pile of crap. What Hogan and Bischoff did is said they would make the crap stink less, so what they did is ask for 50 bucks, pocket 40, and spend 10 dollars on a fan. They placed that fan next to the camera and let all the stink blow onto the audience.

The Knockouts division is really good right now and a superior women's division to WWE. I am a big fan of the D.O.D. but not really anyone else. The only other two I actually like are AJ Lee and Eve. I don't see how that was messed up. The X Division has alot more new stars in it as well. Gunner is not terrible at all. In fact, I think he's fairly decent in the ring and Crimson is growing on me. Fortune is one of the best things about wrestling and Roode is getting a big push. Everyone in Fortune is doing something and AJ actually elevated when Hogan and Bischoff came in. The only one I could agree is Joe's push ended but really that happened before Hogan and Bischoff came in.

I'm just taking this out because this is just insane.
Better then the Diva's Division? Are you insane or does you brain have issues connecting what you see to your brain? Dude...the Knockouts suck. You've got them underpaid(a reported fact btw), stupid angels that go absolutly nowhere and the implication that all women are either lesbians or catty bitches or catty bitchy lesbians or vampire lesbian witches or zombie pirate lesbians or just ODB. The Knockouts division has so many problems that listing them is an essay in and of itself. Say what you will about Eve(and I have), at least she's 10x better then every single Knockout on their roster. Seriously dude...the fuck are you on?
And can I get some?

The Knockouts have put on much better matches than anything in the divas division this year. The only thing that was remotely good was Summerslam between Beth and Kelly. I can't recall anything that was memorable other than that. I loved the Mickie James vs. Madison Rayne feud and I like the matches her and Winter have been having. Tara and Tessmacher vs. Sarita and Rosita have been solid matches.
Eve is one of the four divas I like. Beth Phoenix, Natalya, and AJ Lee are the other three. I don't like any of the other divas. I like every TNA Knockout except ODB and Angelina Love, so maybe i'm thinking along personal preference. The Bellas, Alicia Fox, Rosa Mendes, Lay-Cool (I don't like any of them and I'm not a Kelly Kelly fan either but I don't mind her). Maryse should just be a valet. After her surgery in 2009, she hasn't been that good. I like Mickie James, Tara, Madison Rayne, Winter (Katie Lea is a great worker), Velvet Sky (not the best wrestler, but she is attractive and I have always been a fan of hers), Tessmacher (only member of Extreme Expose that can do anything remotely good in the ring), Sarita (very talented), Rosita is entertaining as well and Jacqueline's always been talented. If you're talking about in ring action, the divas division doesn't hold a candle to the knockouts division. Beth and Natalya are solid, AJ Lee is new but will get better, Eve is improving every day, and Kharma is good, but come on The Bellas are terrible, Alicia Fox is the sloppiest on the roster in terms of women, Lay-Cool just annoy me, and Rosa isn't good at all.

It was stupid of TNA to have spent all this time trying to build up Hogan wrestling when everyone knew he had back problems for years and every so often a report on Hogan's back condition was usually bad enough to show he wasn't in shape to wrestle a match.
It should also be interesting to see what changes from Hogan TNA keeps assuming he does leave or if they just straight back to pre-Hogan stuff because he did have some good changes. For example, using a standard ring was done in theory to help the newly signed stars so that they didn't spend too much time having to relearn stuff to fit the 6-sided ring.

I am pointing out that I think the Knockouts have more talent in the ring. I don't see how anyone could disagree with that. You really don't think that somebody like Mickie James has been better than ever? What divas matches this year have been good other than Beth vs. Kelly at Summerslam? I am just confused as to how you couldn't see that the Knockouts are putting on much better matches than the divas. That's my point. I'm not on anything. I follow women's wrestling more than most people and I fail to see how the divas are better than the knockouts I really do. It's just my opinion I guess. I would much rather watch the great matches Mickie and Winter are putting on rather than Brie Bella vs. Kelly Kelly. Well, at least Beth will most likely win the Divas Title tomorrow night. You're not the guy related to Kelly are you? If so, then I understand why you support the divas division and sorry if I'm offending her. I just don't like the divas division. As I said, I like four of them: Beth, Natalya, AJ, Eve, that's it. Plus. I've met alot of the Knockouts and they're nice people, especially Madison and Velvet.

The Knockouts have been booked shit lately. Angelina Love is playing a zombie, and Winter and Mickie James have been trading the title meaninglessly. They need to go back to the basics -- women with talent being allowed to showcase that (as well as their asses). Right now, the WWE Divas Division is actually doing a better job of that, in my opinion.
Hogan and Bischoff leaving TNA would not hurt that company, in my opinion. I really want a change over there. They haven't brought ratings, buyrates or anything really tangible to TNA's growth. Plus they are probably draining up a lot of the company's money. Go back to basics, TNA. Losing Hogan and Bischoff won't automatically make things better; but it's a start.
And please -- drop Russo.

I guess I'm the only person that likes the Knockouts division better. I thought the Mickie vs. Winter matches were good and I didn't care that they were trading it back and forth. For one, Winter finally got a major women's title and Mickie james has been better than ever lately. She has been putting on good matches and I'd much rather watch a match between them than Brie Bella vs. Kelly Kelly. Those matches were brutal to watch. I'll defend the Knockouts anytime as I have more respect for them. I only like four divas: Beth, Natalya, AJ and Eve. Angelina isn't a zombie at the moment. They dropped that and she said she understands what Winter was trying to tell her. She is just being herself again. Angelina and ODB are the only Knockouts I don't like. Personally, I think Winter does a good job in the role shes in. I've always been a fan of Nikita/Katie Lea/Winter so I'm not going to dismiss or criticize her. I like that she's been given a chance to do something. She never really got to do anything in WWE. It always bothered me. Sorry if I'm offending people like you and Shadow, but I just like the Knockouts division and am more entertained by their matches and segments. I know it's a difference of opinion but I think the match quality has been much better in the Knockouts division than the divas division the entire 2011 year. The best divas match this year was Beth vs. Gail Kim on Superstars, not RAW or Smackdown Superstars because the Bellas had to be the top divas. I like women's wrestling and the divas division just makes me cringe with the matches they put on recently. Beth hopefully gets the belt tomorrow night. They should try to sign more talented divas instead of clueless models. I think Eve is the only one from that crop that knows what to do. Tessmacher has more talent than Kelly or Layla and her and Tara have been great as Knockouts tag champions. I thought their match with Sarita and Rosita at Hardcore Justice was very good and a good match between Mickie and Winter at the same event. Then the match on Impact was good and the rematch at No Surrender was good as well. Kelly Kelly vs. Vickie Guerrero was not good or entertaining. I guess I just look at it differently. The only thing that bothered me about the Knockouts division is the Lock Box challenge. I agree that was just dumb plus it resulted in an Angelina Love title win so thats two losses. Overall, though I've always liked the Knockouts division and with the exception of ODB, Cody Deaner and Angelina Love being champions, I've liked all the other ones and have been more entertained by their matches.
