Just watched the first episode last night and I thought this whole Cas is God thing would keep going but it doesn't, even though the Leviathans controlling him are still powerful, so I don't know what to expect now except more Purgatory related stuff. I like not knowing what to expect though.

I liked the episode, especially the exchange in the house with the Sand Glass between two people.

I do miss the boys in MOTW episodes.

Ep 2 was a step up, I actually cared what was going on.

The way the Leviathan's spread reminds me of the black oil from The X Files.

Also, SO fucking glad Bobby's house got burned down, seeing as the last 3 seasons they filmed most episodes in Bobby's living room. New sets!

I don't know about that but since he seems to have a lot of history and experience as a hunter they could do webisodes about his past or what he does when he's not working with the brothers.

Just watched the latest one. Good to have seen Jo one last time. Dean surely can't keep his secret about killing Amy from Sam forever. Shit's gonna hit the fan when Sam finds out.

I thought so too but if you think about it, Dean didn't want Amy to appear at the trial so she was technically left out of it. Only Jo and Sam were at the trial and since Sam is not dead, that leaves Jo.

The witches on this show seem really powerful. Donald took care of that Leviathan with little effort although it was just a spell to render it unconscious or something and he didn't kill it which leads me to believe he doesn't know how or can't kill it, otherwise why would he leave it alive.

They were also established as having been around for a very long time.

I'm not missing Cas, I think the character was screwed around with too much, and a half-season or so off will lead to a better pay off when/if he comes back.

I guess I'm hoping the writers are brave enough to leave someone dead for once.

dunno, huge castiel fanboy here. i agree that the character got messed around but he was simply glorious in seasons 4 and 5. if they can bring him back now that he would no longer be on the whole god crusade, i would welcome his return.

Don't get me wrong, Misha Collins did a great job on the show. Some of the funniest parts of season 5 were completely down to Cas's deadpan responses.

He was an important and well loved character, which makes his demise all the more poignant. Better than Joss Whedon's magic everything back to life again rule on Buffy. Even Joss knew when to drop the hammer though, I'm still pissed off about Fred dying on Angel.

Some of these episodes are decent, but this one seemed a little underwhelming for a return episode. Didnt develop the story much and was a monster of the week episode.

Really enjoyed season 7 so far, I felt that seasons 4-6 while having many good episodes, was just crippled overall by the angels vs. demons storyline.

Just my own opinion but I feel season 7 has been a partial return to form to the early days.

Just watched the finale. Holy shit the ending was awesome. Cant wait for season 8!

Finale was so good, the writing, humour and FX were all completely spot on. A year ago I thought the show was a shadow of it's former glory but they've brought Supernatural back to the awesome quality of the earlier seasons.

Yeah I'd say 8 Seasons is a great run and a good place to stop. Maybe they could plan a movie after this is all done?
