View Full Version : Daniel Bryan ruined my WM idea...

i wish they had not started this little program with Daniel Bryan saying he was going to cash in the suitcase at WM this year. With the way things were going it looked like they could actually have built an interesting at least to me, match for WM. I feel it would work out great to have Henry continue to just totally destroy all the faces who challenge him for the next few months. Then Undertaker return and go after the title at WM. We all know UT wont lose at 'Mania especially to someone like Henry but from a Mark stand point would be a big "If all these other's have failed to beat Henry how can anyone even Taker stop him." Just my tired 2 cent thought.

WHAT WOULD BE BETTER IF BRYAN CASHED IN ON RANDOM RAW AND SAID HAHA I FOOLED YOU YOU THOUGHT CASH IN AT MANIA BUT NO AND THEN BRYAN BECOME BAD ASS
Taker v Henry II you say?
There's a reason not to buy Mania.

It would make Mark look unstoppable if, after a long, bloody match, he survived Daniel Bryan cashing in and still managed to win.

WOULD BE BETTER IF BRYAN SAID I CASH IN AND HENRY SAT ON HIM AND WON.

The way I imagined it is Henry pretty much going on a destructive rampage until WM, taking out every monster and big man in his path. Bryan cashes in for WM and it's billed as a David/Goliath type deal. Mark destroys the shit out of him most of the match until Bryan locks in a submission that Henry can't get out of no matter how hard he tries. After a solid minute or two, Henry is forced to tap. That way you can really build the "Nobody could stop Henry until this little boy came along" type deal. Could be pretty memorable if done right.

That is, if he bursts out the Cattle Mutilation.
The Taker vs. Henry casket match was bad enough.

Why does the second post of every single thread, have to be a dick/asshole remark?
OT: I didn't read the wall of text in the OP, couldn't be arsed

I think that idea would have worked if Taker hadn't already beaten him in a casket match. Especially if Taker came back and was made to look somewhat frail in the build up. But, I don't really want another Mark Henry/Taker feud.
Daniel Bryan cashing in against Henry would be a bigger moment if Daniel Bryan never announced that he was waiting until Mania and they started pushing Henry as this monster a little bit later (maybe around November) and put the strap on him at the Royal Rumble.
I say that because, I don't really see them letting Henry hold on to the belt for almost 8 months or getting pushed as an unbeatable monster for a full year going into Wrestlemania. Plus, it would be more of a mark out moment if after he was on this roll culminating with a Rumble title win, Henry cut his "unstoppable monster" promo and little Daniel Bryan came out and said he'd be the one to take him out. Knowing DB is going to cash in at Mania no matter who the champ is kind of takes the suspense out of it.

Fuck all this 'David and Goliath magic moment' shit! I'd much rather see Daniel Bryan in a match with someone where he can pull out all the stops! Christian, Orton, maybe someone like Sheamus or hell, even Cody Rhodes (who wouldn't be Champion anyway, but just saying).
Like him or not, Bryan in arguably the best in-ring grappler WWE has today, why would you waste what would be the biggest match in his career (and a World Title match at Wrestlemania) in a setting where he can't technically 'wrestle'?

Gotta agree with this entirely. The best case scenario, in my mind, is Bryan vs a newly turned heel Champion Orton. I do think that a match against someone like Christian would be far better in the ring, but it doesn't have the sell value of an Orton match.
In a perfect fucking world, Chris Jericho would return as a heel out for blood, win the World Heavyweight Championship and face Bryan at Mania. But that will never happen.

I'm down for that. Daniel Bryan vs. heel Orton would be damn good. I do think he's good enough to carry Henry in a match that would be entertaining as hell though. I'd love to see Bryan vs. heel CM Punk in an iron man match too. They could sell the hell out of it as a "Who Really is the Best in the World" type match.

I doubt Orton is going to turn heel any time soon or at least before Mania with the way the show has been built around him since the draft.
It wouldn't mean Bryan automatically turns heel either if he cashes in because they could make the regular Mania match be short so that Orton or the champion isn't completely weak and then have a decent amount of time for the 2nd match.

Listen up fartknockers. This is how you book daniel Bryan at rasslemania. You have him come down to the ring to cash in the MITB but he says he is going after th Divas belt because he is a bitch and then Kelly Kelly beats him. Then he goes back to ROH where workrate matters. I hate him.

Good post, but I think Daniel Bryan is going the RVD route and will actually be involved in a legit match. They could have Henry hold the belt til Mania (I hope not), but by then I'll be used to it and a David/Goliath match would be alright I think. I certainly don't want Taker/Henry II or well III since they fought at Unforgiven 07 too haha. I think they might do that match at Survivor Series since Taker is rumored to come back at Vengeance.

The best thing for Daniel Bryan to do now is pull a Benoit and hang himself.

I see it happening somewhat like wrestlemania 20s main event probably orton vs Henry vs Bryan with Bryan getting the victory over orton

Orton will regain the World Heavyweight Title from Mark Henry before WrestleMania. Orton is the biggest star on SmackDown!, and hence it would make sense to include him in the marquee SmackDown! match, would it not? Orton and Bryan could have a great pure wrestling match, that could also have a big-time feel to it, given that Orton is the second biggest star in the company.
Now, the biggest spanner I could see being thrown into the works, is if Chris Jericho decides he wants a WrestleMania pay-day. Jericho was written off by getting a punt in the head from Orton. You have Jericho return during the 2012 Royal Rumble, win the whole thing (hopefully shocking us all), and Jericho says that he's coming for Orton and the World Heavyweight Championship. Bryan reminds Jericho that he has a title shot. Jericho doesn't really give two fucks. You essentially get Orton vs. Jericho vs. Bryan in a Triple Threat Match, that I'm sure would be a grand story. Especially when you throw in stuff like Bryan's first WWE match being against Jericho.
Anyway, Bryan wins the World Title, the IWC mark out like little bitches; and hopefully the WWE has created a new main event star for themselves. Extreme Rules sees either Orton get a one-on-one rematch, or both Orton and Jericho get a shot with some sort of gimmick thrown in to make Triple Threat Part II even more appealing. Then we get the draft and Orton and Jericho both end up back on RAW, since they're too big a stars for SmackDown!, really, and SmackDown! gets maybe Rey Mysterio and The Miz.
As for The Undertaker? He might appear at WrestleMania. He might even wrestle Mark Henry. It won't be for the World Heavyweight Title, though. At this point, Taker's streak is enough of a draw on its own. Also, I think that a match against The Miz or CM Punk would make a lot of sense. Both guys could use the streak to try and prove themselves.
