I used to draw videogame levels when I was a kid. Mostly megaman levels, but I also made this enormously elaborate metroid game when I was home, sick with the chicken pox.
More recently I had an idea for a new zombie game(new and original!)
It would be an isometric RTS game where you actually commanded the zombies. There would be different locations like a shopping mall, old mansion, a school, etc., and the goal is to kill all the survivors inside. There would be different access points and obstacles for getting inside, and even deciding which survivors to go for first would require thought. One would be a doctor that could revive injured survivors. Another might be the "leader" and killing him would make the rest less organized, and more vulnerable. You would have special zombies at your disposal to help you achieve your goals.
I could be wrong but I don't think anything like this has ever been tried.
