The ending is the equivalent of watching an L.A. prison riot. I really marked out when EVERYONE from the rosters including cops tried shaking the steel cell... It's like a fucking Berlin Wall teardown moment.

Also, I really enjoyed Miz and Truth even assaulting the cameraman in 1st person view!!! and JR goes, "THAT'S ENOUGH WHAT THE HELL'S WRONG WITH YOU TRUTH?!?!"

Punk isn't the main rebel against authority anymore which kind of takes part of his draw away, but he's still gold. There shouldn't be any judgements made until this Miz/R-Truth angle becomes clearer.

The amount of times they're changing the title now is just laughably stupid. Do you know that since Money In The Bank, the title has changed hands SIX times, not including a champion vs. champion match. That's absolutely insane and totally cheapens the title where you can now say Christan and ADR are multi-time champions.

Forget 20, at this rate Cena may be a 30 time champ before he's done.

I don't know if you've heard about Survivor Series this year, where The Rock and Cena will be teaming to (reportedly) take on the "Disgruntled Employees" so that leaves CM Punk open to continue a feud with Del Rio (a feud that has been rumored to happen for a few weeks now)

Del Rio just bores me.
I freely admit that's not normal for me, I usually like guys who have solid mat-wrestling skills. For some reason though, I can't stand Del Rio.
I also don't think his ring work is THAT great. I get why his mic skills suck, but they still suck. He just doesn't do anything for me.

I think in the rumored feud with Punk, if he looks good it will be due to Punk's skill. I'll even go so far as to say I hope I'm pleasantly surprised, but I'm not holding my breath.

I think the PPV was a good one though.

I was expecting it to not be that great, seeing as some of the matches only had a build up of two weeks from Night of Champions and when the PPV began, we only had five matches on the card.

The tag team match was really good. It's clear to see now that the WWE have invested in the future of the division and are actually paying attention to it and putting some time into it to make it actually mean something these days.

Like I said before, I feel like I'm going to be the only person on TPWW that's going to miss the previous design of the Intercontinental Championship. I know a lot of people didn't really care for the design and did prefer the "White Strap" design that we have now, but don't get me wrong, I'm not hating the "White Strap" design, I'm actually happy to see it back and updated.

Though I get the feeling that Cody is going to hold the Intercontinental Championship for some time now and when he loses it, it'll return to the previous design.

Speaking of champions, I like that Henry is still champion, even though I went against him in Tipsters. He's been fantastic these past few months and I look forward to see what happens next and who will be the next number one contender, even though a tiny part of me thinks it'll be Orton again.

I was a bit surprised at the sudden finish of the WWE Championship match though. I thought that maybe Cena would find a way back into the cell but that didn't happen. It makes sense though, with Del Rio pinning Punk while Cena was locked out, it gives Cena his match at Vengeance with the reason for it being, along with his entitled rematch, Cena saying something like "You never pinned me and you had to lock me out in order to win, you can't beat me face to face" or something like that.

I'm really interested in the whole Miz & Truth thing though. I liked the ending to the PPV and it sortof reminded me of when Nexus debuted, where they just fucked shit up and hit anyone that looked at them. I'm looking forward to Raw tonight and with Vengeance only two weeks away, I get the feeling that we'll see some good matches at the PPV. They managed it in two weeks with Hell in a Cell so I'm sure they can do it with Vengeance.

But overall, good tag team match, Mark Henry still champion, Rhodes still champion and with a new Intercontinental Championship, Beth Phoenix finally Divas Champion and a highly interesting storyline involving Miz & Truth = very enjoyable PPV. :y:

Cool King, really hate your dark font. Hard to read.

Mr. Nerfect
10-03-2011, 05:29 AM
I'm marking out for Cody Rhodes bringing back the old-school Intercontinental Title design, and I wasn't even a fan back then. I think the WWE should keep it. Gives the IC Title its own feel to it. Kinda want Daniel Bryan to be the next Intercontinental Champion, but that really wouldn't make sense right now. Personally, I don't think there should be an end in sight to Rhodes' IC Title run. Let him go over Ted DiBiase again, Booker T, Justin Gabriel, etc. Have him hold the title long past WrestleMania next year. He makes a great champion.

Kinda weird they took the WWE Title off Del Rio just to put it on him again. Personally, I'd have been happy if they had just kept the belt on Del Rio for the entire time. I guess they didn't want two heel champions retaining at the PPV? By the way, both Del Rio and JBL are very charismatic individuals. JBL definitely has the better mic skills, but Del Rio is competent enough. Del Rio's charisma is more to do with character.

That little discussion between people really made me want to see a loose faction consisting of Del Rio, JBL, Ted DiBiase, Sr. & Mr. Antonio Cesaro -- with JBL and Ted DiBiase obviously playing non-wrestling characters. I think that would be amazingly entertaining.

Cool King

I love Del Rio, and really think the guy is money, but there are some weeks where I am just not sold on his mic work. Regardless, am really happy to see him as champ again and his HITC match helped give him even more credibility.

The ending though - fantastic. I was glued to the screen when all this went down and am so happy to see Miz and Truth still being in a main program rather than dropping back into mid card territory.

I never thought I would actually give a shit about the following but WWE have done it somehow - Mark Henry, Randy Orton, Miz/Truth...really making WWE 'must see TV' again.

I must say I was pleasantly suprised by the PPV. The tag team match was good, as was Sheamus vs Christian. Cody Rhodes, once more, was absolute gold in what he did and bringing back the classic IC Belt was a major mark out moment. I thought it was going to happen but for a moment you worried that it was going to be a hideous new belt ala the WWE Title. Good match as well considering his attire.

Was happy to see Beth Pheonix finally win the title.

Sin Cara vs Sin Cara was clumsy and, as with most of his matches, rushed. In saying that it was still fun to watch and in no way warranted the "Boring" chants.

Mark Henry and Randy Orton was a really good match and cements Henry as the unstoppable heel. I was saying that it will surely be Sheamus and Henry at the next PPV but I hope they give this one more match, maybe even a Last Man Standing match or street fight or something cause this isn't over quite yet.

The triple threat match was good but good is about all I can give it. Happy to see Del Rio, who while we are debating his quality is an awesome worker, win the belt again and hopefully he gets a run up until the Royal Rumble.

My only complaint is quite a big one tbf. Was that PPV really necessary? Neither of the HIAC matches were really HIAC matches. Henry and Orton could have been done in a cage match and the triple threat ending could have been done with handcuffs so the only real reason the Cell was there was for the ending with Miz and R-Truth, who will somehow probably get their jobs back tonight. Could everything that happened last night really not have waited until the next PPV? I know they must still make money but there does seem to be an incredible saturation in the WWE PPV market which makes buying them all so unappealing, hence why people like most of the guys who were in this thread last night found alternative means of watching it.

Miz and Truth are fuckin psycho's, great showing from them, Cody, Henry/Orton, Sheamus/Christian, and Cena.

Miz/R-Truth have somewhat saved this storyline. It was becoming cheesy, but now it's back to interesting.

I was expecting to see Nash come out with them, though...but...

Bad ass ending last night. Loved it. Wouldn't be surprised to see Vince come back tonight to tell HHH that he is losing control of the lockeroom or even reveal himself to be behind Miz and Truth.

Oh, no.

In what you said, I just saw a "5 vs 5 Survivor Series Match for the Control of the WWE" with Triple H and Vince being captains of their respective teams...

...not again :-\

Man, the end felt like WCW 96/97. I loved every second of that breaking down.
