Will WWE really let him go over some bitch they fired? They know he could go indies or TNA. So why waste the talent? Are they really that foolish? He does not only have a character relating to an influential rock star but he can bboy (breakdance) and work it into his moveset. That and he's an amazing athlete with 'the look' body wise. If he shows up somewhere else he'll be instantly recognised and put into awesome match ups.
Is WWE to egotistical?

It's all on the person. His work rate is outstanding, but I really doubt it's all in part of "that bitch" he's with. It would suck if he were let go when his contract expires, but is he really a risk not to slip away?

Yes. Of course nobody here knows for sure but I think the internet have put 2 and 2 together and come up with toffee apples and WWE are just realizing he's actually a bit shit when it comes to anything other than his matches. Like he was just completely awful in the bits with R-Truth after his return and it appears to have been downhill since.

Foolish/egotistical? They can be.

Honestly, I like Morrison. But lately, probably due to booking, I lost interest. I won't be surprised if he's gone at the end of his contract and I don't think WWE cares about letting him go. He'd be JUST another face in TNA as well.

LewisTheLunitic, do you really think WWE gives two shits about the independant scene? Do you really think they care that JoMo may end up in Dragons Gate, or ROH, or fucking SAW in Nashville TN? Do you think they care if he even goes to TNA? They let Kurt Flipping Angle go to TNA for heavens sake!!!

WWE owns JoMo's name, gimmick and probably his immortal soul. They don't give two drops of monkey piss where he ends up. The fact remains: Don't piss in the WWE's cornflakes, or your screwed.

So promos outweigh talent? It's feasible to a point. The main storylines are always the pinnacle of the main event. I always appreciated good old cruiserweight matches n shit. Matches that didn't need storylines. Just good pro wrestling. Morrison falls in this category for me.

They'll let him go because no one respects him. He is a cuckold who let some dudes fuck his woman. Sure, letting a Main Eventer fornicate with your girlfriend is probably good politics, but letting Mike Knox up in that bitch? Really? C'mon man. Johnny Nitro/Morrison is a bitch, straight up.

Honestly, I rarely want to see a match where people flip for no reason. It's fun once in a while, don't get me wrong, but so much of the shit Morrison does is useless to the story of the match and in fact makes little to no sense.

When I see Shawn Michaels do the Moonsault it means something because the match has built to that. It's not a very flashy move, but it gets the job done and looks good. When I see Morrison do the Starship Pain after seeing his standing shooting star, his standing moonsault and a twisting dive out of the ring all within a five minute span I tend to care less.

Xero
10-13-2011, 08:04 PM
I'm not on WWE's cock. I just enjoy a story to a match rather than seeing 150 flips in the span of three minutes where no one sells anything and nothing in the match matters.

LewisTheTruest
10-13-2011, 08:13 PM
Do flips include corkscrews? I'd watch and enjoy a bunch of cruiserweight matches without storilines of rivalies. Just great pro wrestling.

LewisTheTruest
10-13-2011, 08:19 PM
Mexico: "I can wrestle" "So can I" "Let's fight!" = Great Match
America: "The boss says I win" "What's you're finisher?" "Ok hit the move and you win."
Mexico: "Where's my money?"

Xero
10-13-2011, 08:22 PM
Of course corkscrews count.

It's not even the moves that are the problem, it's how and when they're used, and if they make sense. I'm sorry, but a standing SSP doesn't make much sense when it's used in most situations. Used in a way to say "hey, I'm better than you. You've been beaten down, so here's something flashy" is perfectly acceptable. Used in a span of two minutes in conjuncture with other flashy moves, then going right onto the next spot with little down time, doesn't really make sense.

Some people like the flippy stuff with no real substance. I'm not even going to insult you for liking it (unlike you insulting me for "being on WWE's cock"). But that stuff isn't going to get you very far in the business if that's all you can do. I'm not saying that's all Morrison can do, mind you, I'm just saying that a lot of people look at that stuff and think it's the best shit ever and wonder why they're not selling out arenas around the world.

Harley Race told Bischoff he was making a huge mistake. Maybe Harley knew something Bisch didn't?

The following all happened on Air:

Austin was regularly called "possibly the Best TV Champion in WCW History."

Heyman introduced him as the "World's Greatest Athlete" when he joined the Dangerous Alliance

Ric Flair, in a Flair for the Gold segment with the Hollywood Blondes, said that "Arn tells me you're gonna be The Man one day."

Truth be Told, if Hogan hadn't joined WCW, Austin easily could have been World Champion.

And even though Melina is a chickenhead she is a decent womens wrestler, and TNA knows how to use women's WRESTLERS.So they should both go...and tell Trips and Vince to come up with better t-shirt slogans. It's all about the little things and Morrison doesn't seem capable of showing any of them. Kelly Kelly did a much better job when she went psycho on Beth on RAW a week or two and she's fucking abysmal.

Yeah, but Sheamus wasn't screwing Yoshi's woman...he just kept using his protein shake cup or whatever. And that was at the time the two were in FCW. MoJo on the other hand, was a puss in McMahon's eyes because the way he didn't stand as a man towards Melina's affair with Batista, Mike Knox, etc.

The WWE clearly wants to push Morrison. They don't have it "in for him." The dude finds himself constantly on PPVs and getting the chance to impress people with his moves. They give the guy merchandise to market him. They want John Morrison to be money -- it's a case of whether or not Morrison gets in his own way. The dude apparently has some shit to work out, and selfishly, I want to see him work it out, because I love the man's work.

If Morrison gets his head screwed on straight, he'll get another chance to make money. Look at all the chances guys like Jeff Hardy have gotten. Do you really think that Jeff Hardy would win a fight with, say, The Undertaker? Of course not -- but the guy still got quite a few World Championship reigns, despite being an absolute mess, because he was money.

If Morrison leaves the company, it'll be his own choice. Vince will keep him around because chicks and kids would dig the guy's looks and moves, and he's an amazing mid-carder at the very least. In a few years, after Morrison is more broken down, older, and if he's not showing any intention of fulfilling on his potential -- then we can talk about Vince fucking the dude off.

I still think the best thing for Morrison is a move to SmackDown!. Yeah, it's one of those "IWC standbys," but in Morrison's case, I think there's a point to it. The guy goes to SmackDown!, where matches are longer and he can get over primarily on his workrate. They can also tape promos for the guy, which can further him along and allow him to fuck up without anyone knowing. Also, because SmackDown! isn't the show, they can both use him while also keeping him down the pecking order at the same time.

I just want to see JoMo vs. Tyson Kidd...

Quite simply, Morrison sucks. Nothing about him seems real and he clearly doesn't have the respect of his peers and why would he after being such a bitch for the last 18 months?

I fully expect him to be jobbed out for the next couple of months, wished the best in his future endeavours and jumping on the TNA bandwagon, probably to lose to Hulk Hogan who will of course be World Champion around this time.

Is this the normal level of intellect of a John Morrison mark or are you just a 'special' one?

You obviously didn't get the event I was referencing and how it supports my point. Not trying to claim to have "inside knowledge," but there is enough going around to support the claim that if Randy Orton does not like working with you, he's not going to work with you. And the dude is clearly in the position to say so. He's certainly got more power within the industry than Eugene, Ken Anderson or Kofi Kingston.

And I never suggested that The Undertaker wrestle his last match against Mark Henry. I presented the possibility that from a kayfabe point of view (even though the match would not be a classic), The Undertaker facing Mark Henry at the forthcoming WrestleMania could be built up as a significant event.

And Taker losing the streak by DQ would be an absolute heat machine. Taker's fans get solace in the fact that he was never pinned, new stars are made (people would be talking about them) and fans would legitimately want to see the cheating scum involved get their heads ripped off. It'd be Roddy Piper heat, I tells ya. Even KK said that the idea was not terrible (although not the most beautiful thing ever suggested -- of course a clean finish would solidify someone more), and that dude hates me.
