Which one are you going with this year. Or are you going to buy both. Or are you going to skip them entirely. Don't vote if you are not a fan of FPS or either of these franchises.

I'll pick up MW3 on launch and probably grab Battlefield down the line.

Same here, maybe. If Battlefield 3 has a multiplayer trial I might rent it first. Pretty sure MW3 multiplayer will be free regardless of new or used purchase.

Neither. Saving money for a trip in early 2012, so very little of my spending money will go towards videogames in the near future. What games I do buy will be fighting games. UMvC3 and SFxT are definite. Beyond that, I MIGHT get Soul Calibur 5 and Tekken Tag 2, but that's pretty iffy right now. Saving money is tough for me as it is with the medical bills I'm paying.

BF3 did have a multiplayer trial. It was called the beta.
I will be picking up BF3 on PC. Caspian Border was incredible after I gave the game a chance. So fun coordinating with friends. Had to take a very different approach to the game than I was used to, but once I did, it was fantastic.
Looks gorgeous too.

I can't really say yet, I might be skipping Battlefield 3. Depends on if I have to buy an online pass or not, since I'm not buying the game, my roommate is and we are going to be using the same PS3 to play it, just different psn accounts.

I meant for the full game to try out all the modes and maps. The beta was mainly for feedback and testing purposes.

Beta also gives players an idea about how the game is going to play.

B3 does have an online pass, I think.
B3 is my go to game, but I am interested in MW3.

I know it does. But with Bad Company 2 it was the same situation with the VIP code, I forget which one of us used it, but the other one was still able to use the maps from the VIP shit. Crossing my fingers it works for BF3 too.

If I could spawn into a jet or a helicopter and not queue, I'd get BF3. The actual infantry shooting is pretty dull.

In the PC, you could. If there was one open, you could spawn in it. Idk about helicopters, as I never flew one. But you could spawn in jets.

Yeah, you could, but it's that "if one is open".
Once I gave up on the on foot action being fun in the beta, all I did was queue and avoid attempted teamkills.

Battlefield 3. Haven't liked COD games, but loved Battlefield 2 and Bad Company 2, so its an easy choice for me...

Definitely BF3 initially, but I will be getting MW3 at some point as well.

Neither at launch but maybe BF3 at a later date.
Haven't really played any game in either series besides CoD 2 and a few matches in Modern Warfare 1.

Well I've just come into some unexpected cash, and it looks like I'll be able to afford one of these.
But since Batman: Arkham City comes with the full Game of the Year Edition Arkham Asylum, I'll be getting that. So my answer remains neither.
